Product Usage Instructions
Setting up the Lockly Matter Link
After installing and setting up your Lockly Smart Lock, follow these steps
to set up the Matter Link:
- Plug the Matter Link into a standard 5V/1A USB port or use the included USB AC adapter.
- Ensure the Matter Link is within 30 feet of the lock for optimal connectivity.
- Connect the AC adapter to a wall socket. The GREEN LED indicator will flash quickly, indicating readiness.
- Open the Lockly app to proceed with the setup.
Using the Lockly Matter Link
Follow these guidelines for using the Matter Link:
- Position yourself between the lock and Matter Link within 30 feet.
- Ensure your iOS or Android device has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.
- Place the Matter Link in an optimal location for signal transmission.
- Avoid signal disruptions from appliances and obstructions.
Connecting Smart Lock
If you haven’t paired your lock with the Lockly app, follow these steps:
- Login to the Lockly app and complete the pairing process as per in-app instructions.
- If pairing fails, disconnect power and try again. Follow on-screen instructions for successful pairing.

Setting up the Lockly Matter Link
- Set up the Matter Link after you have successfully finished installation and set up of your Lockly Smart Lock.
- Matter Link can be plugged into any standard 5V/1A USB port or the UL certified USB AC adapter included in this box (recommended).
- It is recommended that the Matter Link be no further away than 30 feet (9meters) from the lock for optimum connectivity.

Plug the Matter Link into the 5V/ 1A USB AC adapter and plug the AC adapter to your wall socket. A GREEN LED indicator light will flash quickly and the Matter Link is ready to connect. Open the Lockly app to get started.

If you have not downloaded Lockly app, scan or visit Lockly.com/app to download it. Create a Lockly account and connect with your Lockly device.
Using the Lockly Matter Link
During the setup, position yourself between the lock and the Matter Link no more than 30 feet (9 meters) apart. Ensure your iOS or Android™ device has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.
Suggested installation environment for Matter Link:
- Avoid placing the device in kitchens to prevent signal disruptions from appliances.
- Make sure that the front of the Matter Link is facing your Lockly for optimized signal transmission.
- Keep it away from walls and obstructions that can absorb wireless signals.
- Avoid placing it on the floor, as the ground can absorb signals.
- Matter Link works with 2.4 GHz wireless networks. If your router has combined the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, please refer to your router’s manual to separate the two bands or refer to support.Lockly.com for more details.
Install the Matter Link in a location with a strong 2.4GHz wireless signal for optimal performance. If you encounter any problems during setup, please visit support.Lockly.com or call us at (669) 500 8835 for help.
Connecting Smart Lock
Please skip this section if you have already paired your lock with Lockly app. If you have not completed the pairing, please log in to Lockly app and follow in-app instructions to complete the pairing.
Configure Your Matter Link
- Make sure your smartphone is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network when adding the Matter Link. Plug the Matter Link into the 5V/1A USB AC adapter and plug the AC adapter to a wall socket. Open Lockly app and select “Add New Device”, follow on-screen instructions to select your Lockly that needs to be paired with Matter Link.
- Scan the QR code at the top of the device until the LED indicator flashes red rapidly, indicating that pairing is underway. If the QR code cannot be scanned, please add it manually. (For example, PGH260UXXXxxxxxx).
- If you replaced your smart lock or need to pair again the Matter Link with a smart lock, perform the following steps; otherwise proceed to next section.
- Disconnect the power and power it back on.
- Press and hold the Setup button for 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes green rapidly to enter pairing mode(the setup button is located at the back of Matter Link).
If the device is not pairing, the LED indicator will not flash green. You need to disconnect the power and power it back on.

If the LED indicator on the Matter Link flashes red slowly, the connection is underway. If the connection is successful, the LED indicator will stay on green. Select “YES” to complete the pairing. If the connection fails, click retry and scan the QR code again. The LED indicator will flash green.
Make sure your phone is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to complete the pairing. -
The Matter Link has been successfully connected. You may now proceed to use the Apple Home app to add this bridge to control and manage this device.

Below are some troubleshooting information:

No LED indicator
Your Matter Link has no power. Check your power supply.\ -
LED indicator flashes red slowly
Your Matter Link is not connected to any wireless network.

* **LED indicator flashes green rapidly**
Your Matter Link is ready. Enter pairing mode by pressing the setup button for 2 seconds. Pairing will take approximately 2 minutes.
* **LED indicator stays green**
Your Matter Link is on and connected to an active 2.4 GHz wireless network.
Connect to Apple
Before integrating Matter Link with Apple Home, we recommend updating the
firmware of your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, or HomePod to the latest
version for optimal device compati-bility. Please ensure your firmware meets
the following versions: iOS 16.7 or later, iPadOS 16.7 or later, tvOS 16.1 or
later, and HomePod 16.1 or later
If you use the Lockly App to pair again the lock, you need to delete the
original lock and Matter Link on the Home App, and re-configure the network.
- Power it off and then power it back on. Press and hold the Setup button for 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes green rapidly to enter pairing mode.
- Open your Apple Home App and select “Add Accessory “by tapping the” + “in the top right corner.
- Scan the QR code on the Matter Link until the LED indicator flashes red rapidly, indicating that pairing is underway.
- Follow the next prompts to select the room and set the device name.
- Add Matter Link and Lockly to My Home. Now you can view your device on the device list and in the Home app where you can enable or disable it.
Removing Smart Lock
You need to remove the Matter Link in the Lockly App Settings in order to
remove the smart lock. If you have removed the smart lock only, the LED
indicator on Matter Link will stay green, the smart lock cannot be locked or
unlocked accordingly.
After you have removed the Matter Link, the Home App will automatically remove
the pairing of the Matter Link.
- Remove Matter Link: Open the Lockly App, tap Settings. Select Secure Link/Door Sensor Settings and select Delete Matter Link.
- Remove Smart Lock: Open the Lockly App, tap Settings. Select “Reset and Pairing”, and then select “Perform Factory Reset”.
How to reset Matter Link
Reset Matter Link Directly
- Unplug your Matter Link and wait for 10 seconds.dds.
- Then plug your Matter Link back in.
- When the LED indicator flashes red, press and hold the setup button.
- Keep pressing the setup button until the LED indicator flashes green.
Reset Matter Link with Lockly App
If the LED indicator stays on green, the Matter Link is online. You can reset
Matter Link with Lockly App.
- Select the lock paired with Matter Link
- Go to Settings page
- Select “Select LINK/Door Sensor Settings”
- Follow in-app instructions
