ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
-
Before unpacking the product, memorize the position of each accessory in case you need to repack it in the future.
-
Never operate the device without its base or other parts.
-
Operate the device only in an upright position; any other position could create a dangerous situation.
-
Note: the images are for guidance only and should be used to support the installation.
-
Follow the instructions below to assemble your product:
-
Place the appliance in a dry, horizontal position near the window and maintain a safety distance of at least 50 cm around the appliance (see picture 02 on page 5).
-
Screw the drainage tube into the air outlet behind the panel (counter-clockwise). See picture 03 on page 5.
-
Insert the air release hose into the window sealing plate, adjust the width of the window opening so that the window can be matched to the sealing plate correctly; the length of the sealing plate is adjustable; and screw it on. (See picture 02 on page 4).
-
Note: The air exhaust duct can stretch up to 1500mm. It’s suggested to stretch it as short as possible and keep it horizontal.
-
-
Incorrect installation (see picture 05 on page 6)
-
It is important to keep the duct unblocked. Incorrect installation will affect the effectiveness of the appliance.
-
Prevent the exhaust duct from kinking.
-
Make sure that air can flow through the duct.
Window kit installation
Your window kit has been designed to fit most standard “vertical” and
“horizontal” window applications. However, it may be necessary for you to
improvise/modify some aspects of the installation procedures for certain types
of windows. (See picture 06 on page 6). (See picture 11
on page 7).
- Minimum distance: 27-1/ 2” (70 cm).
- Maximum distance: 48 (122 cm).
Depending on the portable AC purchases, window kit could be fixed to the window by screws or by a clip ( see pictures 07 and 08 on page 6).
- If your kit uses screws (See picture 09 on page 7):
- Measure the size of the window;
- Adjust the length of the plate according to the size of the window.
- Fix the plate with a screw
- If your kit uses clips (See picture 10 on page 7):
- Measure the size of the window;
- Adjust the length of the plate according to the size of the window;
- Block the plate.
Casement windows’ kit
If you have a casement window, please note that the window kit included with
this appliance is not compatible.
In case of a casement window, we suggest to purchase the corresponding kit
through a MediaMarkt shop.
The air exhaust hose mounting method
- The air exhaust hose is 20cm-160cm in length. It is suggested that the hose should be as short as possible to achieve the maximum energy efficiency ratio when the air conditioner works. If there is a need to extend the hose, please adopt the best mounting method as the figure shows.
- And please, also pay attention to the following points:
- Try to avoid the bendings of the hose.
- Try to avoid the bendings of the hose near the exhaust air outlet (and the bending point should be at least 50cm away from the exhaust air outlet) (see picture 12 on page 7).
- Keep the smoothness of the whole air exhaust hose, especially in the bending points. Avoid any abrupt steep-angled bendings.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WATER DRAINAGE
The air conditioner evaporates condensed water and discharges the moisture
through the hot air outlet.
But in some cases it is possible that the unit is not to condensate water
evaporation, then the internal water tank is full. Follow the steps to drain
water (see picture 15 on page 08):
- Unplug the air conditioner, disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, and move the conditioner to suitable drain location or outdoors.
- Remove the base stopper from the base water outlet to drain water.
- Once the internal water tank is drain, reinstall the base stopper, make sure it is on securely.
- Place the air conditioner in the desired location, reconnect the exhaust hose, and plug in the air conditioner. The unit will operate normally.
To avoid accidents caused by electric shock, make sure that no power is supplied to the unit before starting maintenance or repair.
AIR FILTER CLEANING
If the air filter is blocked by the accumulation of a large amount of dust,
the volume of the air flow will be reduced. Clean the filter once every two
weeks.
- Open and clean the air filter (see picture 16 on page 08):
- First remove the lower grille with its respective filter. Then the upper one
- Carefully wash the air filters by immersing them in hot water (about 40 °C or 104 °F) with neutral detergent.
- Rinse the filter detergent and let it dry completely in a shaded area.
- Put the air filter back in its original place.
Notes:
- Do not use water with excessive temperature (suitable temperature is about 40 C) or irritant detergent (such as alcohol, gasoline, benzene, etc.) to clean the filter.
- To avoid deformation of the filter, the cleaned filter should be kept away from the heat source and put in dry air to dry naturally.
- Do not run machines without filters.
AIR CONDITIONING CLEANING
Clean the surface of the unit with a damp cloth. Then dry with a cloth or
similar.
Do not use chemical solvents (such as benzene or alcohol) to clean the surface
of the unit; doing so will scratch, damage, and even deform the entire case.
BEFORE YOU PUT IT INTO OPERATION
- Check if the air inlets and outlets of the unit are blocked.
- Check that the partition plate stop and the base stop are installed correctly.
- Before turning the unit on, make sure the air filter is in the correct position. If the equipment is operated without the air filter, dust and other objects will cause the air conditioning to malfunction.
IF IT’S GOING TO BE UNUSED FOR A WHILE
- Turn off the air conditioner and disconnect it from the power supply.
- Maintain the air filter and other parts correctly.
- Open the partition plate stop and the base stop for draining water from the partition plate and the base. Then run the unit in fan mode for half an hour to ensure that the divider plate and base are dry.
- Use a plastic sheet to cover the unit to prevent dust or dirt from entering the unit.
