  6. LED flashes quickly red:
Critical battery level. The helicopter will perform an automatic landing.

GYRO CALIBRATION

  • After successful connection between the helicopter and the remote control, perform the following steps to calibrate the gyroscope. On the remote control (MODE2), hold the left joystick in the upper corner and the right joystick in the lower corner for 2-3 seconds as shown in the picture. During this time, the indicator light on the aircraft will flash yellow and then turn solid green, indicating that calibration is complete.

AMEWI-EC135-The-Flying-Bulls-fig-8

  • During gyroscope calibration it is important to place the helicopter on a flat surface to ensure accurate flight.
  • The gyroscope is already factory calibrated so the user does not need to recalibrate it unless they are unable to complete initialisation or yaw drift occurs in manual attitude mode. In such cases, recalibration is required.
  • After successful calibration, the indicator light gives appropriate indications depending on the current position of the remote-control switch, as explained in the section Indicator Light.

MANUAL MOTOR START

Push both levers outwards downwards to start the motor. Release the sticks immediately after starting the motor. Push the throttle stick upwards by more than 50% and the helicopter will take off.

AMEWI-EC135-The-Flying-Bulls-fig-9

MANUAL MOTOR STOP

There are two methods to stop the motor after it has started:

  • Method 1 : After the aircraft has landed, move the throttle stick to the lowest position and hold it for at least 3 seconds to stop the motor.
  • Method 2: After the aircraft has landed, pull both joysticks inward simultaneously to stop the motor immediately. Release the sticks after the motor has stopped.

NOTES ON OPTICAL SENSOR MODE

AMEWI-EC135-The-Flying-Bulls-fig-12

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • This flight mode uses the optical sensor to detect objects below the helicopter and limits the take-off altitude to 8 metres. Avoid launching from or flying over rooftops as this may cause the system to fail and the aircraft to drift.
  • In such cases, fly back immediately or switch to manual stability mode.
  • The sensor cannot detect surfaces without structure and will not function properly in environments with insufficient or excessive lighting. The sensor will not function in the following scenarios:
    1. Solid colour surfaces (e.g. solid black, solid white, solid red, solid green).
    2. Highly reflective or mirror-like surfaces.
    3. Water surfaces or surfaces of transparent objects.
    4. Moving surfaces (e.g. over crowds, bushes and grasses swaying in strong winds).
    5. Scenes with rapidly changing lighting conditions.
    6. Exceptionally dark or exceptionally light surfaces
    7. Surfaces of materials with strong absorption or reflection of infrared radiation.

MANUAL FLIGHT MODE

  • Pressing the manual mode button deactivates the optical flight mode. In this mode, the status indicator of the aircraft lights up solid red and the altitude restriction is removed. The maximum flying speed can be up to 10 metres per second. Please observe the aircraft closely and fly carefully.
  • Pressing the button on the remote control again activates the optical sensor mode, which is indicated by a solid green status indicator on the aircraft.

AMEWI-EC135-The-Flying-Bulls-fig-13

AUTO LANDING

During flight, long press the one-button landing button and the helicopter will initiate a landing at its current position. During the landing, the model can still be operated with the remote control. Pressing the throttle up during landing will abort the landing. Alternatively, pressing the auto-landing button again cancels the landing function.

ONLY FOR EXPERTS – INVERTED FLIGHT MODE

  • This mode is designed for 3D aerobatic inverted flight training and should be conducted in open outdoor areas with calm or light wind conditions.
  • In manual mode, with the flight altitude above 9 meters, press the upper right One-Key inverted Flight button. The remote control will emit two beeps. Quickly push the elevator stick forward or backward and immediately return it to the center position. The aircraft will automatically perform a 180-degree roll and enter inverted flight hover. In this mode, the helicopter’s control input is the same as that of a 3D helicopter (pushing the throttle stick up will make the aircraft descend, pushing the elevator stick forward will make the aircraft move towards the tail).
  • Pressing the One-Key inverted Flight button again and quickly moving the elevator stick will transition the aircraft from inverted flight to normal flight mode, restoring normal flight behaviour.

AMEWI-EC135-The-Flying-Bulls-fig-14

  • Inverted flight: Only forward & backward flip. Turning to the left or right is not possible.

PITCH SETTINGS

When users replace servos or other major components, it may alter the pitch setting. Correct pitch setting contributes to stable flight. Please follow the steps below for pitch setting.

AMEWI-EC135-The-Flying-Bulls-fig-15

  1. Switch on the aircraft and connect it to the remote control.
  2. Long press the lock button on the remote control to lock the helicopter. Two beeps will sound. Then long press the pitch setting button to activate the pitch setting mode with two beeps.
  3. Adjust the appropriate servo with the lever until the helicopter’s swashplate is level and the rotor blade angle is O degrees. Then briefly press the lock button on the remote control to release the lock with a beep, exit the pitch adjustment mode and save the settings.
NOTE: Pitch setting should be done under the guidance of an experienced individual. Incorrect pitch setting can result in reduced flight performance.
