SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prior to use, please read the safety precautions carefully to ensure proper use. The precautions listed here are described under classification of Warnings and Cautions, and are intended to prevent harm or damages to users and other persons. All of these precautions are critical in terms of safety. Please follow them at all times.

Disassembly prohibited.

  • Donot disassemble, repair, or modify. Doing so can cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Repair by persons other than trained repair technicians can be dangerous.
  • Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this product with any solid-state speed control device.

Product use.

  • For household use only. Do not use for commercial use. Do not use for anything other than the intended purposes. Do not use product for anything other than its intended use. Doing so could cause the product to malfunction or cause fire.

  • Do not use the product near radio o televisions. Doing so may interfere with radio or television signals.

  • Do not use in places exposed to direct sunlight or heating devices. Doing so may cause deformation, color change, or product malfunctions.

  • Use on a level, stable surface. Placing product on uneven and unstable surface can cause the product to fall over, leading to injury or damage to property in the vicinity of the product.

  • Place the product in locations where it will not get entangled in curtains or hoisting strings, etc. Failing to do 0 can cause damage to articles near the product.

  • Always grasp the power plug to unplug it, do not unplug it by pulling on the power cord. Pulling on the power cord can damage it, which can cause fire or electric shock.

  • Always unplug the power plug from the electric socket when the product will be unused for extended periods of time. Failing to do so can lead to fire or electric shock caused by short-circuits due to reduced insulation.

  • This product employs overload protection (fuse).
    A blown fuse indicates an overload or a short-circuit. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to IRIS USA, Inc. for inspection and/or repair.

  • Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not run the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from high traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.

  • Please dispose of product and packaging materials according to proper government regulations.

Remote use.

  • WARNING: Chemical Burn Hazard. Do not allow batteries to be swallowed.

  • This product contains a button/coin cell battery. If the button/coin cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children.
    Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

  • Please pay attention to the polarity symbols of the remote battery. Please ensure the battery is inserted according to the correct positive (+) and negative (-) markings.

  • Remove the remote battery when the product will not be used for extended periods of time. Not doing so may cause fire or injury, or damage to the surroundings from the battery rupturing and leaking.

  • Incase of battery liquid leaking, wipe down the battery case and insert a new battery. If the battery liquid gets onto the skin, please wash thoroughly.

  • Do not disassemble, repair, or modify. Doing so may cause damage to skin and clothes.

  • Donot carry or store the remote alongside small metal objects. Doing so may cause fire or injury from the battery rupturing and leaking.

  • Please use only the manufacturer recommended battery. Use of any other battery may cause risk of fire or injury, or damage to the surroundings from the battery rupturing and leaking.

Unplug.

  • Unplug the power plug from the electric socket when performing maintenance, inspecting, or moving the product.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fitin a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  • Grasp the plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.

Use power plugs and power cords correctly.

  • Failing to do 0 can cause fire or electric shock due to short-circuits.
  • Insert the power plug securely all the way into the electric socket.
  • Regularly remove dust from the power plug
  • When dust is allowed to build up, insulation is hampered due to moisture, which can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Use only 120V~. Other current/voltage can cause fires.
  • Do not use if the power cord or the power plug is damaged, or if the power plug s loose when plugged into the electric socket. Doing so can cause fire or electric shock due to short-circuit.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

Do not damage the power cord.

  • Damaging, modifying, forcefully bending, pulling, twisting, putting heavy objects, or pinching can damage the power cord, which can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Do not use if the power cord is bundled up. Doing so can cause fires. Always extend the cord out before using.
  • Do not pull on the power cord when carrying or storing the product. Pulling on the power cord can cause fire or electric shock.

Abnormalities and malfunctions can cause smoke, fire, or electric shock.
Stop use immediately, cut power, and unplug from the electric socket when abnormalities or malfunctions occur.
Examples of Abnormalities

  • Abnormal sounds or odors.
  • Power plug or power cord become abnormally hot.
  • Loss of power, efc. when power cord is moved.
  • The product periodically stops during operation.
  • Tingling sensation from electric current felt when the product is touched.
  • Stop use and contact IRIS USA, Inc. customer service at 1-800-320-4747.

Avoid tire hazards.

  • Do not spray with insecticides, hair sprays, or lubrication oils, etc.
  • Do not use near flammable substances (kerosene, gasoline, paint thinner, etc.), objects that have flames (cigarettes, incense, efc.) or combustible materials. Can cause fires.
  • Do not use the product with air flow pointed at a combustible appliance such as a heater. Doing so can cause incomplete combustion o scatter flames, which can cause carbon monoxide poisoning and fire.

Wet hands prohibited.

  • Do not unplug power plug when hands are wet.

Do not use the product outdoors.

  • Do not use in the vicinity of objects that obstruct the flow of air.
  • Do not operate while covered or blocked with cloth, paper, or plastic bags, etc.
  • Do not use in locations where there is a lot of dirt or dust. This can cause short-circuit or fire.
  • Do not use in or near environments filed with sooty air. Doing so may cause a fire.
  • Do not use in rooms with high humidity levels such as bathrooms.
  • Do not get the unit wet, or put the unit in water. Getting the product wet can cause fire or electric shock.

If handled incorrectly, contents can lead to personal injury or physical damage.

  • Keep out of reach of children and infants.
  • Do not climb on or tip the product over. Doing s may lead to injury or electric shock.
  • Make sure to hold the handle while moving product. Do not drag the product when moving it. Dragging product can damage carpet and floors.
  • Do not point air flow directly at your body. It generates a very strong air flow.
  • Be especially mindful not to allow children or elderly people near product. Being near the product can be harmful to their physical condition and to their health.
  • Air blowing directly on plants may be harmful.
  • Do not operate without attaching the vane or the cover. Doing so can cause injury, electric shock, or fire.
  • Do not strike the unit forcefully. Doing so can cause the product to malfunction, leading to fire or electric shock.

User Servicing Instructions

  • If the fuse on your fan has blown, grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet. Do not pull the cord to unplug.
  • To open, slide the fuse cover towards the prongs of the plug.
  • Carefully remove the old fuse and snap the replacement fuse into place. To reduce the risk of fire, only replace the fuse with another fuse of the proper rating (2.5Amp, 125Volt). Slide the fuse door back into place to close. Discard the blown fuse. The plug should now be ready for normal use.
  • Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. Product contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.

PLACEMENT

Placement
Place the product on a level floor or table free of any obstructions.

  • Place the product in locations where it will not come in contact with direct sunlight, or hot air from air conditioning or heating appliances. Such contact can cause the product to deform, change color, or malfunction.
  • Donot place the product near the radio or TV. The product may cause noise on radio and affect the TV signal.

Use with Air Conditioner
Placing the product in front of air conditioner to circulate cold air accumulated below creates air flow and provides better cooling.
Use with a Heater
Sending air flow to corner of the room where the A/C source is, to circulate warm air accumulated above, warms feet

Circulation
Sending air flow toward the ceiling reduces room air temperature variations.

Ventilation
Placing the product by a widow or a door draws outside air in and sends in- room air out.

Two-room Circulation
Placing the product in an open doorway circulates air between two-rooms,

Drying Laundry
Hanging laundry directly in the path of the air flow helps it dry quicker. Do not place underneath dripping clothes as water droplets on the product may cause electric shock or short-circuiting.

Changing Out The Battery
Please replace the battery with a CR2025 battery when the product takes a long time to respond or stops responding when the operation buttons are pressed.

  1. Pull out the battery holder.
    Hold the claw in to close the gap and pull the holder out.

  2. Insert a new battery.
    Insert a new battery into the battery holder. Make sure the battery is facing the correct direction. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.

  • Please pay attention to which side is front and which is back.
  • Please dispose of battery according to the disposal recommendation on the battery packaging or proper governmental regulations.

CAUTION
Improper handling of the battery can lead to battery rupture, leaking battery liquid, and damage to the surroundings. Please read the ‘Remote use’ section of the safety precautions before use.

HOW TO USE

Place the Product
Place the product upright on a stable surface and insert the power plug into the electrical outlet. The product will beep when buttons are pressed.

Start the Product
Press the power button to turn the product on.

  • The product will start running at the last setting used if the power plug has not been pulled out.
  • The product can also be turned on using the power button on the remote control.

Select the Operating Mode
Pressing the Mode button changes the product mode as follows:

Continuous
Product runs with a continuous air flow at the chosen air flow strength.
Natural Breeze Pattern
Replicates breeze patterns by changing the strength of the air flow.
Focused Oscillation
When operating in focused oscillation mode, product will operate on high, oscillating up to 60 degrees then down to 45 degrees. After settling at 45 degrees, the product will begin left and right oscillation within a 30 degree angle.
While oscillating up and down, the vertical oscillation indicator light will also be illuminated. While oscillating left and right, the horizontal oscillation indicator lights will also be illuminated.
When operating in focused oscillation mode, the horizontal oscillation, vertical oscillation, and air flow strength cannot be adjusted.

Product modes can also be selected by pressing the desired mode setting button on the remote.

Select the Preferred Air Flow Strength
Pressing the air flow strength button lights the indicator light and changes the air flow strength.
Continuous mode offers 10 strength settings. The natural breeze pattern mode offers 3 strength settings.

In continuous mode, holding the button will cause the air flow strength to keep changing until the button is released.

  • Press the left arrow button to decrease air flow.
  • Press the right arrow button to increase air flow.

Set Delayed Start Time
The delayed start timer can only be set while the product is off but plugged in, or after the timer has been set. It cannot be set while the product is running unless the desired run time has already been chosen.
Pressing the delayed start button changes the delayed start time as follows:

The delayed start time can also be changed using the delayed start button on the remote control.
While the delayed start timer is running, the indicator light will change according to time remaining. When time runs out, the product will start operating.

Start Timer
Pressing timer button changes the preset time as follows:

The timer can also be changed using the timer button on the remote control.
While the timer is running, the indicator light will change according to time remaining. When time runs out, the product will turn off and stop running.
If the product is oscillating when the desired run time runs out, the product will not reset to the front position.

Set Combined Delayed Start Time and Timer
To set the product to start at a certain time and then stop at a certain time:
Using the delayed start button, set the desired delayed start time. After delayed start time has been set, use the timer button to set the desired run time.

  • The delayed start timer can only be set while the product is off but plugged in, or after the timer has been set. It cannot be set while the product is running unless the desired run time has already been chosen.
  • After the delayed start time is set, the delayed start indicator light will flash. Please set the desired run time while the indicator light is flashing. The indicator light of the chosen delayed start time will turn solid after five seconds. Please set the timer before then.
  • After the delayed start indicator light turns solid, the product is set to start after the chosen amount of time. The product will start after the delayed start time is over and run for the previously chosen run time.

To set the product to start again at a certain time after it stops running:
Using the timer button, set the desired running time. After running time has been set, use the delayed start button to set the desired delayed start time.

  • The product will stop running after the set time is over. The indicator light of the chosen delayed start time will remain solid while the product is running.
  • After the product stops running, the delayed start timer activates and the product is set to start after the chosen delayed start time.

Stop the Product
Press the power button during operation to turn the product off. The product will beep before the power turns off.
If product is turned off during oscillation, operation will stop once product is facing forward. The oscillation indicator fights will blink until product returns to the forward facing position.

Select Oscillation
The left and right oscillation cannot be done manually. Please use the oscillation button to change the angle of the product. Forcibly changing the angle will damage the product.

Horizontal
Press the horizontal oscillation button to start product oscillation left and right. Pressing the horizontal oscillation button changes the degree of oscillation as follows:

Vertical
Press the vertical oscillation button to start product oscillation up and down. Press the oscillation button again to stop product oscillation.
Vertical oscillation can also be controlled manually from horizontal t0 60 degrees. If vertical oscillation is adjusted manually, the vertical angle will not reset when the product is turned off.

Adjust the Brightness of the Indicator Lights
The brightness of all of the indicator lights can be adjusted.

  • Strength of the indicator lights can be adjusted by holding the Mode button for at least 2 seconds while the product is running.
  • Hold the Mode button again for at least 2 seconds to return the indicator lights to the original brightness. The breeze pattern setting can also be turned on using the button on the remote.
  • The indicator lights will remain at the set brightness even if the product is turned off and on again. If the product is unplugged, the indicator lights will reset to the original brightness.
  • The brightness of the indicator lights cannot be adjusted by using the remote control.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Caution

Always turn off the power and unplug the power plug from the electric socket when cleaning the product. Use caution, the motor will be hot immediately after use. Confirm the motor has cooled before cleaning the product.
Do not use paint thinner, alcohol, benzene, alkaline detergent, or bleach, etc. when cleaning the product. Using such substances can cause damage, malfunctions, or changes in color, shape, and quality.

Using the product in dusty condition can cause it to malfunction. Check and clean the product regularly.

Internal Cleaning

  1. Unscrew the screws from the back cover of the fan.
    Press in and disengage the 4 claws on the top and bottom of the front guard, and then remove the front guard by puling it toward you.

  2. Remove debris using a vacuum cleaner. Wipe off debris that cannot be removed by vacuuming using a soft cloth.

  3. Align claws on the top and bottom of the front guard with the guides on the back of the guard, align the handle on the back with the groove on the top of the front guard, and press until it snaps into place. Reattach screws.

External Cleaning

  • Wipe lightly using a soft cloth.
  • For hard to remove dirt, wipe using a cloth containing a diluted neutral detergent.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Before making repairs, please read the following content carefully to fix common problems,

Low air flow strength| Dust has accumulated.| Please clean to remove the dust.
Product makes loud noise while oscillating| During oscillation, motor sounds will increase.| This is normal.
Product won’t stop oscillating| Product is set in focused oscillation mode.| When operating in focused oscillation mode, the horizontal oscillation, vertical oscillation, and air flow strength cannot be adjusted. Please change the mode.

Problems that could not be resolved.

Product Used Over Long Periods of Time
If any of the following problems occur due to use over long periods of time, cut power immediately, unplug from the electric socket, and contact IRIS USA, Inc. customer service at 1-800-320-4747.

  • There is no response when power is turned on.
  • Product makes a strange noise when operating.
  • While turning, the vane changes speed irregularly.
  • Power cord is bent or damaged.
  • Power turns on and off when power cord is touched.
  • Product gives off a burnt smell

Any damage caused by accident, misuse, or abuse, including without imitation, damage caused by use in a humid area, improper cleaning, neglect, alteration, fire, theft, non-recommended temperature use and does not apply to minor imperfections, scratches, stains, discoloration, surface markings as a result of shipping or other damage to external or internal surfaces which does not impair the utility and/or functionality of the product.

TO OBTAIN SERVICE
If service should be necessary, you should contact IRIS USA, Inc. Customer Service (“Customer Service”) at 1-800-320-4747.
You may then return the properly packaged product(s), (using adequate packing and shipping material to prevent damage in transit), with postage prepaid along with name, address, telephone number, model number, and proof of date of purchase (a copy of the receipt) and a detailed description of the claimed defect. This warranty shall not cover any damage incurred to the products during transit to Customer Service. You shall have the obligation and responsibility to: pay for all services and parts not covered by the warranty.

The Warranty may not be altered, expanded, extended, revised or varied except by written instrument executed by the Manufacturer.
