BRAINLIT VIDAR Elderly Care Set
Mounting
The VIDAR Set is designed to be mounted in in a suspended ceiling.
VIDAR installation

Remove the acoustic panel where the luminaire should be mounted. (see placement guide on page #2)

Use the Hole Template (included in the package) as a guide to make holes for power cable and mounting screws in the acoustic panel. Use a ø4-5 mm drill for the two mounting screw holes marked with a V and a sharp knife for the power cable hole marked with a V.

Push the power cable through the hole in the acoustic panel. Fasten the ceiling cup mounting bracket to the acoustic panel using the two screws and wing nuts included in the package.
Note: Check with ceiling manufacturer that your ceiling can handle the weight of the luminaire at the installed position.

Fasten the ceiling cup to the bracket with the two screws.

Lift the acoustic panel and luminaire by holding the ceiling cup. Put the acoustic panel back in place carefully.

Connect the power cable WAGO connector to the Light Control Box (LCB).

Adjust mounting height by pushing down the pin on the wire locks located on the luminaire body. Adjust length of electric cable and fasten the plastic cable lock. (see placement guide on page #2).

Center the luminaire(s) over the table according to the illustration. Specified mounting height: 175 cm from floor to top of luminaire.

Do not cover luminaire and LED-driver with thermally insulating material.
Warning
- Disconnect or turn power off before installation, maintenance or service.
- Installation requires knowledge of luminaire’s electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
- Brainlit’s luminaires must be installed in compliance with international wiring regulations (EN, IEE, NEC etc.).
- Secure luminaire compatibilty with input voltage and frequency.
- To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or sharp objects.
- Risk of fire or electric shock. Keep combustible and other inflammable materials away from lamp/lens.
- The luminaire and driver is not suitable for covering with thermally insulating material.
- Do not operate in close proximity to persons, inflammable materials or substances affected by heat or dying.
- Wear gloves and safety glasses when removing luminaire from carton, installing, servicing or performing maintenance.
- Do not touch enclosure or light source.
- Allow lamp/luminaire to cool down before handling.
- The connecting cable is not waterproof.
- No user serviceable parts inside of luminaire.
- Luminaire to be independently supported to building structure.
- Avoid direct eye exposure to light source when luminaire is on.
