Getting Connected
Basic Operation Instructions
- Connect the audio source, passive speakers and power cable to Boost-102.
- Turn on your audio source and Boost-102.
- Select right input channel from Boost-102.
- Adjust music and microphone volumes from Boost-102.
Connecting the Audio Source
You can connect the analog audio source to LINE IN using RCA cable if your
audio source have RCA output. In case your audio source have 1/8″ headphone
connector, you can use 1/8″ TRS plug – RCA cable.
The digital connection can be made using optical To slink cable. Optical
connection is less susceptible to noise and less likely cause ground loop
problems in your audio system.
The audio source must be set to output audio in PCM format.
Connecting the Audio System
You can connect audio to your home theater or sound bar From LINE OUT using
analog RCA cable or from OPTICAL OUT using optical To slink cable.
Subwoofer can be connected from SUBWOOFER OUT using RCA cable. Frequency range
is not limited, so it can be also used to connect the monitor speaker.
Connecting Passive Speakers
Before connecting speakers, make sure that the power is turned off from
Boost-102. Connection guide:
- You can use speaker wire or speaker wire with banana plugs.
- Follow the speaker polarity (+/-) when connecting speakers.
- Minimum speaker impedance 4 .Ω
Connecting Microphones
The microphone can be connected to the front panel using balanced or
unbalanced 1/4″ microphone plug cable or to the back panel using balanced XLR
cable. Two microphone inputs can be used simultaneously. You can improve
signal-to-noise ratio by using balanced microphone cables. Balanced microphone
cables are less susceptible to the external noise caused by electromagnetic
interference.
Connection Examples
- Connecting the SMART-TV and Passive Speakers
- Connecting the APPLE-TV and Passive Speakers
