Installation

  1. Plug one end of the telephone line (straight cord) into the jack of the base unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into the port of the active telephone jack outlet in the wall.
  3. Plug one end of the coil cord into the base of the handset and the other end into the base unit.
  4. The telephone is now installed. You should be able to hear the dial tone when you place the handset near your ear. The telephone is now ready to be used.

Setting Up the Telephone:
To enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle), follow these steps:

  1. Press Set key.
  2. Select the setting option (1-8) using numeric key or up and down key.
  3. Press Delete key to exit the previous setup screen after completing a certain setting.
  4. Select the next setting item by pressing the numeric key or up and down key.

Setting Date/Time

  1. Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu.
  2. The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  3. Press 1, then select Submenu: 1-DATE to enter date setting.]
  4. Input the year, month, and date on the number keypad on the Phone (e.g., for January 12, 2024, enter 24 0112).
  5. Select SET button to confirm.
  6. Select 2 Button to manually enter the Time Setting of hour and minutes in Military Time format (e.g., for 2:25 pm, enter as 14:25).

FAQ:
Q: Does the caller ID function work without subscribing to it from my local telephone company?
A: No, the caller ID function works only after you have subscribed to this service from your local telephone company.

installation

  1.  Plug one end of the telephone line (straight cord) into the jack of the base unit. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into the port of the active telephone jack* outlet in the wall.

The telephone jack must be an active telephone jack with phone service that includes the Caller ID function that is provided from your local telephone company too

  1. The phone should be placed in a cool, dry, ventilated place.

Setting Up the Telephone

Menu Function Setting
Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.

  • At this time, press the numeric key or press the up and down key to select the setting option (1-8) that you want.
  • The LCD displays the corresponding setting item at the same time.
  • After the completion of that certain setting, press Delete key to exit the previous setup screen.
  • Then, press the numeric key or press the up and down key to select the next setting item.
  • Note: When using the up and down keys to select setting item, to enter the sub-menu setting item of that item, you need to press the setting key and then press up and down flip key to select it. The specific setting items are as follows:

Setting date/time:
Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 1, LCD will prompt Submenu: 1-DATE, 2-CL.
  • Select 1 Button again to enter date setting. You will see the screen blinking. At this time, directly input the number by entering the right year, month and date on the number keypad on the Phone. The LCD screen will show d 20XX XXXX. (For example, if today was January 12, 2024) You would enter 24 0112).
  • Then, Select the SET button again to confirm.
  • When the date setting is completed, the program will automatically identify the day of the week.
  • Next, Select the DEL button to go back to the Submenu: (1-DATE, 2-CL)
  • Now, on the Submenu: (1-DATE, 2-CL), Select 2 Button to manual enter the Time Setting of hour and minutes. Enter the time (Hours and Minutes) in the same manner as you did to enter the month, day and Year by selecting the Hour and Minutes on the Key Pad of the Phone. Enter the Hours and Minutes as Military Time. For example, if the time is 2:25 pm. Enter the time as 14:25.
  • Then, Press the SET Button to save your selection.
  • Next, Press the DEL Button to go back to the Submenu: (1-DATE, 2-CL).
  • Press DEL Button again to go back to the Main Set Menu: SET 12345678. Hit DEL Button one more time to exit the Setup Menu and back to the Main LCD Screen. You can always pick up the Handset and Place it back done on the Receiver to get back to the Main LCD Screen too.

Ringtone selection and ringtone volume adjustment:
Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 2 Button, the LCD Screen will prompt Submenu: r 1T 2VIP 3Vol.
  • Press 1 Button to enter a common ringtone selection. There are 16 different ring tones to select. Use the UP and DOWN Button to listen and review each ringtone. Once you select the ringtone number you want, Press the SET Button to confirm that ringtone setting.
  • Press the DEL Button to go back to the Submenu: r 1T 2VIP 3Vol.
  • To select the Ringtone Volume, Press 3 Button from the Submenu. This selection gives you 5 ring volumes that you can select. Use the UP and DOWN Buttons to make your selection.
  • Once you have your selection, Press the SET Button to confirm the Ringtone Volume Setting.
  • press the DEL Button to go back to the Submenu: r 1T 2VIP 3Vol.
  • Then, Press DEL Button twice to go back to the Phone’s Regular LCD Display.

Alarm Setting

To Set the Alarm

  • Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).
  • The LCD Screen shows SET 1234578.
  • Press 3 Button, LCD will prompt Submenu: AL 1-2-3
  • Press 1 Button. Screen will show ALAr OFF
  • To set the Alarm, use the UP or DOWN Button to “turn on” the Alarm.
  • On the Screen appears, 00 – 00.
  • Use the keypad on the telephone to enter the alarm time. (Use military time for setting pm time). For example, if you want an alarm to go off at 2 pm in the afternoon. Set the alarm time for 14-00.
  • Once you have the time set, Press the SET Button to confirm the Alarm setting.
  • Once the alarm goes off on the phone, simple pick up the receiver off the cradle and hang back up. The alarm will be turned off. Or, to turn off an alarm that has not gone off, simply repeat the same process as above. But, set the alarm selection to OFF using the UP or DOWN Buttons. Then, Press SET to save the updated Alarm setting.

You can set up to 3 Different Alarms on the Phone. Set 1 Button is a one time alarm. Alarms 2 and 3 are everyday alarms. You can press any button to stop the alarm each time or pickup the Phone and hangup to stop the alarm.

Do not disturb time setting:
Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 4, LCD will prompt Submenu: OFF_r 00-00 (Flashing)
  • Using the numeric keypad on the phone, directly input the time you want to setup the Do Not Disturb Time (Range 99-59), then press SET Button.
  • Then, press DEL Button twice to exit the Submenu and Phone Setup Menu to return to the main LCD Screen.
  • After do not disturb function start, LCD will show do not disturb time and countdown to 00. After the countdown, Do Not Disturb function will be canceled automatically and will be withdrawn from the phone. Incoming calls do not ring during the do not disturb period.
  • To cancel this function at any time, repeat the steps above. But, when entering the time, enter 00 00 and Press the Set Button. Next, Press the DEL Button twice to return back to the main LCD Screen. The Phone will go back to normal operating mode.

Special Function Selection Setting:

To set up the Flash, Pulse or Tone and Defend Settings on the Phone, follow the steps listed below.

  • Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).
  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 5 Button, LCD Screen will prompt the Submenu: 1-F 2-PT 3-d

To set up the Flash, Press 1 Button
Use the UP and Down Buttons to set the Flash Setting. You can pick from 1000, 600, 300, 180, 120, 100, 95 or 90.
Once you have the Flash setting you want, Press the SET Button to confirm the Flash Setting. Then, press the DEL Button to go back to the Submen: 1-F 2=PT 3-d.
To set the Tone or Pulse Setting under the Submenu: 1-F 2-PT 3-d,

  • Press 2 Button. Use the UP and DOWN Button to set if you want the Pulse or Tone. Tone setting is used for most modern phone telephone systems. This phone is set to the Tone Default.
  • Once you have your Pulse or Tone setting, press the SET Button to confirm the Setting.
  • Then, press the DEL Button to go back to the Submenu: 1-F 2-PT 3-d

To set the Defend Setting under the Submenu: 1-F 2-PT 3-d,

  • Press 3 Button. Use the UP and DOWN Button to set if you want the Defend to be OFF or ON. (Anti-theft code is *#).
  • Once you have your Defend setting, press the SET Button to confirm the Setting.
  • Then, press the DEL Button to go back to the Submenu: 1-F 2-PT 3-d
  • To turn off Defend, repeat the steps above and use the UP and DOWN Buttons to set the setting to OFF. Be sure to press SET after to update the Phone’s settings.

After setting up any of these functions, you can Press the DEL Button two times to return to the Phone’s regular LCD Screen.

Local Code and Outgoing Code Setting:
To enter the Local Code: Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 6, LCD will prompt Submenu: 1-LOC 2-OL
  • To set the Local Code, Press 1 Button. The LCD screen will show Loc 0000 (Flashing).
  • With the numeric keypad on the phone, enter the Local Code (1 to 8 digits) then Press the SET Button.
  • Then, Press DEL Button to return to the LCD Submenu: 1-LOC 2-OL.
  • Press the DEL Button two more times to return to the regular LCD Screen on the Phone.

To enter the Outgoing Code Setting: Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 6, LCD will prompt Submenu: 1-LOC 2-OL
  • To set the Outgoing Code, Press 2 Button. The LCD screen will show OUT 0000 (Flashing)
  • With the numeric keypad on the phone, enter the Outgoing Code then Press SET Button.
  • Then, Press DEL Button to return to the LCD Submenu: 1-LOC 2-OL.
  • Press the DEL Button two more times to return to the regular LCD Screen on the Phone.

Note: If you want to cancel the Local Code, do the same steps as listed above. But, enter 0 (zeros) into the fields where you entered the Local Code and then Press Set to save the changes.

To turn off the Outgoing Code, you can repeat the same steps as above to set up the Outgoing Code. But, when prompted to enter the Outgoing Code or see what Code you entered, you can press the UP Button and turn off the Outgoing Code too. Be sure to Press the Set Button after making this change to Save the Updated Setting in the Phone Setup Menu.

LCD Brightness Adjustment:
Press Set key to enter the Phone Setup Menu while the Phone is in Idle state (Phone receiver on the phone base/cradle).

  • The LCD Screen shows SET 12345678.
  • Press 7, LCD will prompt Submenu: Lcd con 4 (Flashing 4)
  • At this time, press UP and DOWN Buttons to adjust the LCD screen brightness. There are a total of 5 levels. Level 4 is the default value.
  • Once you have the level number you want, Press the SET Button, then Press DEL Button twice to return to the Phone’s regular LCD screen.

Hanging function operation

  • Incoming call query: In the on-hook or off-hook state, press the up or down key to view the incoming call information.
  • Outgoing call query: In the hang-up or off-hook state, press the query conversion (OUT) key to enter the outgoing call query state, and then press the up or down key to access outgoing information.
  • Hook-up pre-dialing: In the hook-up state, directly input the phone number, if there is any error, you can use the delete key to modify it, and after the number input is completed, you can pick up the phone to dial out the number directly.
  • Delete Function: In the state of inputting numbers, you can use the delete key to delete wrongly inputted numbers; in the state of querying numbers, you can use the delete key to delete the current number and its information.

Answering Calls

  1. When the phone rings, pick up the handset to answer the call.
  2. After finishing the conversation, place the handset back on the cradle to disconnect.

Making Calls

  1. Pick up the handset.
  2. Dial the number upon hearing a dial tone. The unit will begin automatic time counting, and the LCD will display the conversation duration.
  3. After finishing the conversation, place the handset back on the cradle.

Note:
When the line is busy, please hang up, and pick it up again, then press REDIAL button to redial the number again.
Redial Function

  1. In pre-dialing state, press REDIAL button, the phone will dial out the number automatically. (at most 36 digits)
  2. In checking state, you desired CID number and outgoing number will be dialed out automatically by pressing REDIAL button.
  3. Press REDIAL button, the last number will be dialed out automatically.

ADJUST VOLUME OF RINGING

There are two levels for the ringer volume control: HI & LOW for switch selection.
See bottom of the phone for the switch to adjust the Ringer volume.

Caller ID Service
The unit is compatible with Caller ID service by your telephone company. After you have subscribed for a Caller ID service, the calling party information transferred by DTMF or FSK will be displayed before or after the first ring.

Viewing the caller list

  1. Press Up Bottom to view forward, LCD will display number, date and time of the call.
    2. Press Down Button to review backwards.

Erasing the caller list information
All CID numbers can be deleted by pressing DEL button.

  1. Erase a reviewed number by pressing DEL button.

Checking recent Outgoing Number

  1. Press OUT button continuously to check one by one.
  2. Conversation length of the number you are checking will be displayed on the LCD, press REDIAL button directly to dial out the number.
  3. In idle state, press DEL button to delete the current number.

Troubleshooting

( Trouble 1) Noise

Make sure the telephone line cord is connected firmly to the base unit and the telephone jack.

The telephone does not ring when you receive a call

  1. Make sure the telephone line cord is connected firmly to the base unit and the telephone jack.
  2. Make sure the handset is placed correctly.

NOTE: The specific functions of this phone are subject to the phone.
