SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
• All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.

• Place the appliance on an even, heat-resistant surface. Be careful when placing the basket out of the air fryer. Place the handle inwards to prevent spillage of what’s inside.
• Do not place the appliance near heat sources, places with high humidity levels, or combustible materials.
• Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings, as it could cause electrical shock or fire.
• Do not fill the basket with oil to avoid causing a fire hazard.
• Do not touch the interior of the appliance while in operation.
• Always place the ingredients to be cooked inside the basket to prevent them from touching the heating elements.
• Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use or when it is being cleaned. Allow it to cool down completely before attaching or removing parts and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not leave the appliance unsupervised while plugged into the mains.
• Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance operates properly.
• Do not place the appliance against the wall. Leave a safety distance of 10 cm on the back of the appliance and 10 cm on each side. Do not place any object on top of the appliance when in use.
• Hot steam is released through the air outlet openings of the appliance during operation. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the steam and from the air outlet openings.
• Hot air may come out when removing the basket from inside the appliance.
• Immediately unplug the appliance if you notice black smoke coming out of it. Wait until the smoke disappears to remove the basket from the appliance.
• We recommend the use of gloves when touching the basket and rack.
• Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself.
• Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.

BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place.
• This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good condition. If there is any piece missing or in bad condition, contact the Official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Clean the basket and rack thoroughly with hot water, washing-up liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. Use a damp cloth to clean both the outside and inside of the air fryer.

OPERATION

Using the appliance

With this air fryer, you can prepare a wide variety of food. The included recipe book helps you to get to know the appliance.

Air fryer

1. Plug the power cable into the outlet.
2. Remove the basket from the air fryer.
3. Put the ingredients in the basket.
4. Put the basket back in the air fryer. Carefully align the basket guides with those on the fryer body.
   • Warning: do not touch the basket during and immediately after use, as it gets very hot. Hold the basket only by the handle.
5. Determine the cooking time required for each ingredient.
6. Some ingredients must be stirred during the cooking process. To remove them, pull the basket out of the appliance using the handle and remove the food using wooden or silicone tongs. Then, slide the basket back into the air fryer.
7. When you hear 3 beeps, the cooking time should have elapsed. Remove the basket from the device and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
   • Note: you can also switch off the appliance manually. To do this, press and hold the power/ pause icon.
8. Make sure the food is cooked. If that is not the case, put the basket back in the fryer and set the timer for a few more minutes.
9. To remove food, e.g., chips, remove the basket from the air fryer and place it on a heat- resistant surface. Next, remove the food from the basket. Do not turn the basket upside down, as excess oil on the bottom will spill over the ingredients. The basket and the ingredients are very hot. Depending on the type of ingredients cooked, steam may escape from the basket.
10. Empty the basket into a bowl or plate.
11. Tip: use wooden or silicone tongs to remove larger or chopped foods from the basket.
12. Once the first batch of food has been cooked, the appliance will be ready for the next batch.

Operation instructions

1. Place the basket and plug in the fryer, the display light will illuminate.
2. Press the program selection icon, the icon will flash, and the parameters will be shown on the display. These parameters can be modified.
3. Once the cooking program has been selected, press the power/pause icon, and the device will start to operate. The display will count down in minutes for 3 seconds, after 3 seconds the display will show the temperature for 15.
   • Time and temperature will alternately appear on the display.
4. Touch the temperature and time icons to select the parameter you want to change and press the increase/decrease icon to change the time or temperature.
   • The time changes from one minute to one minute, and the temperature changes from five degrees Celsius to five degrees Celsius. If the increase or decrease icon is held down, the parameters change more quickly.
5. If the basket is removed during cooking, the process will pause and resume when the basket is reinserted.
6. When the cooking process is finished, the device will beep 3 times and the display will show OFF.
7. Hold down the power/pause icon to turn the device off.

Water spraying

• To activate or not the spraying function, select a specific program that has this function.
• Then, press the spraying function icon if you want it to spray water automatically following the intervals explained below.
• If you do not want to spray water automatically, do not press this icon. You can spray water at any time during operation by pressing this icon.

Settings

• The following table will help you select the basic settings for each food.

Note

• These settings are indicative only. Because ingredients differ in origin, size, shape, and brand, we cannot guarantee that the settings below are the most appropriate.
• Rapid Air technology instantly heats the air inside the fryer. Briefly removing the basket from the fryer during cooking hardly alters the process.

Tips

• Smaller ingredients require a shorter preparation time than larger ones.
• A larger quantity of ingredients only requires a slightly longer preparation time, and a smaller quantity of ingredients only requires a slightly shorter preparation time.
• Stirring small ingredients during the frying process optimizes the result and can help prevent unevenly fried ingredients.
• Add some oil to the fresh potatoes for a crispier result. Cook the food in the air fryer just after adding oil to it.
• Do not use the air fryer for frying excessively fatty foods (such as sausages).
• Snacks that can be cooked in the oven can also be cooked in the air fryer.
• The optimal amount for preparing crispy fries is 500 grams.
• Pre-made dough requires a shorter preparation time. Pre-made dough requires a shorter preparation time than home-made dough.
• Place a baking pan or baking dish in the air fryer’s basket if you want to bake a cake or quiche or if you want to fry fragile or stuffed foods.
• You can also use the device to reheat food. To reheat food, set the temperature to 150 °C for 10 minutes.
• Note: add 3 minutes to the cooking process when you start cooking while the fryer is cold.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

• Clean the fryer after every use. The basket drawer and basket have a non-stick surface.
• Do not use metal utensils or abrasive products to clean them, as this may damage their non-stick surface.

1. Unplug the fryer from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
   • Note: remove the basket to allow the appliance to cool down more quickly.
2. Clean the inside and outside of the air fryer with a damp cloth.
   • The use of a degreasing liquid is recommended to remove any remains.
   • Tip: if there is dirt stuck inside the basket and rack, we recommend filling up the basket drawer with hot water mixed with liquid detergent.
   • Place the basket in the basket drawer and leave to soak for about 10 minutes.
3. Clean the interior of the appliance with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.
4. Clean the heating element with a soft brush to remove any food residue.

Storage

1. Unplug the fryer and let it cool down.
2. Make sure all parts are clean and dry.
