BEFORE OPERATION

We suggest using the pump with pre-filters and water purification equipment with inlet hoses to avoid prolonged maintenance on the check valve and other unnecessary damage.

Electrical connections

  • There are reliable ground connections for power supply which is connected with a leakage current protection switch with a maximum leakage current of 30mA.
  • The pump should be switched on and off by touching the ON/OFF button.
  • The pump comes with a thermal overload protector. In the case of overheating, the thermal overload protector will automatically turn off the pump. After cooling, the water pump will restart automatically.

Preparation

  • It is possible to place the pump on a level solid ground or fix the pump to the ground.
  • Connect the suction pipe.
  • Install suction pipe. When necessary, please wrap teflon PTFE tape on the threads, to prevent air leaks at the joint.

Tips

  • In order to shorten the time of sucking water, it is recommended to fill the suction pipe with water before connecting to the pump.
  • If the transport substance contains sand in water, we strongly recommend installing pre-filters so as to prevent access of foreign matter. The inlet pipe’s diameter shall be at least 3/4″, and the pipe shall be a vacuum-proof hose with reinforced threads or a pressure-proof tube.
  • The inlet pipe shall be provided with a water inlet valve to prevent the evacuation of the suction pipe after use.
  • If the inlet pipe is not sealed, the air in the pipe will block the flow.
  • The intake should be immersed enough in water to prevent the water pump from being stopped without water flow when the water level drops. The installation of the inlet pipe and pressure pipe shall avoid any mechanical twisting of the pump.
  • The inlet pipe shall be connected to the pump underwater. The pipeline shall not be higher than the pump. Otherwise, bubbles in the pipe will block the flow.
  • Connect the pressure pipe.
  • The pressure pipe shall be able to bear the maximum pressure of the pump.
  • 1/2″ pressure hose can also be connected with the appropriate bolts, but it will reduce the output flow.
  • In order to shorten the suction time, raise the pressure hose by about 1m.
  • Any slight unsealing will lead to error, so it is recommended to install a pressure balance component (e.g. a pressure tank) at the pressure side, which will reduce the number of starting the pump.
  • In order to simplify the emptying and decompression of the system, it is recommended to install a stop switch between the pump and the pressure pipeline. When emptying the pump, the stop switch could be switched off to prevent water from overflowing in the pressure pipeline.
  • Insert power supply.
  • All the shut-off devices (jet nozzles, valves, etc.) on the pressure pipe must be fully turned on during water injection and suction so that the air in the pipe can completely escape.
  • Add water to the water inlet of the pump head and fill it up until it overflows.
  • Screw the valve cover over the water inlet and screw it tight.

OPERATION

  • Plug in the power plug.
  • Power on through turning ON/OFF. (If there are not turn on /off on some pumps, plug in to switch on the power supply, without affecting the function).
  • Press the “Restart” key on the electronic pressure switch panel with your fingers and then the pump starts to work and pump water.

After finishing work

  • Turn off the pump by turning on / off. (if there is no turn on/off key on some pumps, then unplug the plug to turn off the pump directly, without affecting
    the function).

  • Unplug the plug from the socket.

  • Check if there is pressure at the pressure side. In case of pressure, relieve pressure by turning on the faucet.

DESCRIPTION OF LED INDICATOR LIGHTS

No indicator lights up

It means that no electricity is in the line.

Indicator light “Power on” is on

It means that there is power in the line, but the pump is not working. Press the “Reset” button to turn on the pump. It is also possible that the pump is in a constant pressure shutdown status. When the pressure at the pressure side line is lower than the starting pressure, the pump will automatically start pumping water.

The indicator light “Power on” is on, and the “Pump on” lights up It means that the pump is pumping in normal operation.

The indicator light “Power on” is on; The “Pump on” lights up and the “Failure” lights up

It means that the pump is pumping at work, but there is no water flow in the pipe. If it lasts for 30 seconds without water, the pump will come into shutdown mode.

The indicator light “Power on” is on ; The “Failure” indicator lights up

It means that there is a fault and the pump has stopped working. This may be caused by no water, leakage in water inlet pipe or damage of pump parts.

MAINTENANCE

  • Warning : Please turn off the pump and remove the plug from the socket before any maintenance procedures are carried out. Risk of electric shock.
  • In order to guarantee a longer service life, we recommend regular inspection and maintenance.
  • If the water pump is out of use for a long time or is used after a winter, please clean the pump thoroughly with water and dry it up.
  • If there is a risk of frost, the pump must be completely emptied.
  • After the pump is not working for a long time, make sure the rotor is running normally when the pump is turned on and off.
  • If the water pump is blocked, connect the pressure pipe to the water pipe and remove the suction hose. Turn on the water supply and start the pump several times for about 2 seconds. Most blocks can be removed.

Replacing the mains cable

If the power line is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the agent or the relevant technical personnel to avoid any danger.

TROUBLESHOOTING

In most cases, you will be able to troubleshoot problems easily by yourself.

Before any attempt to repair the device, ensure that the device is turned off and that the plug is removed from the socket.

If you are unable to remove the faults, please contact with the local suppliers directly. Please remember that the repairing of laypeople will invalidate your warranty and claims for compensation and give rise to extra costs.

Attention : To avoid damage and to minimize the risk of electrocution, electrical problems must only be repaired by authorized repair personnel.
