Thank You for purchasing the August DTA300 Amplified Directional TV Antenna. This user manual is designed to familiarise you with all the features of this device. Please take the time to read through carefully before using the device, even if you are already familiar with a similar product.

Important Safety Instructions

1. Never touch the power plug with wet hands.
2. Ensure the power plug is easily accessible and not blocked so it can be easily disconnected.
3. Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the device for sufficient ventilation.

5. Do not cover the device with items that may impede ventilation such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
6. Keep the device away from open flames.
7. Keep the device out of reach of children.
8. Use the device with the supplied power cable only

Device Set-up

Please follow the steps below to set up the device correctly.

1. Connect the DTA300 to the main power using the provided adaptor.
2. Turn the ‘Amplifier High Gain’ switch at the back of the antenna to MAX.
3. Connect one end of the included antenna cable provided to the DTA3 00 and the other end to your TV, Set-Top Box or Receiver. (Make sure the aerial cable is fully inserted)
4. Put the aerial on a flat service using either the Horizontal or Vertical stand.
5. Position the Aerial in the same direction as your local TV transmitter tower. To find the correct direction, you can point the aerial in the same direction as neighboring households have their roof-tops aerials pointed towards, or use an aerial direction app available on all smartphone app stores.
6. Turn on your TV, Set-Top Box or Receiver, and SCAN for TV Channels, adjusting the aerial for best results.

Note: T he DTA300 is a Directional Antenna meaning it needs to face in the same direction as your local TV Transmitter. Please remember to SCAN for channels each time you move the antenna to a new location.

Warranty

This product is guaranteed for twelve months from the date of the original purchase. In the unlikely event of any defect arising due to faulty materials or workmanship, the unit will be either replaced or repaired free of charge (where possible) during this period. An alternative product will be offered in case the product is no longer available or repairable.

This warranty is subject to the following conditions:

• The warranty is only valid within the country where the product is purchased.
• The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance to the instructions given in this user manual.
• The product must be used solely for domestic purposes.
• The warranty only covers the main units and does not cover the accessories.
• The warranty does not cover the damage caused by misuse, negligence, accident and natural disaster.
• The warranty will be rendered invalid if the product is resold or has been damaged by inexpert repairs. The manufacturers disclaim any liability
• for incidental or consequential damages. Please consult our customer adviser before returning any product; we are
• not responsible for any unexpected product returns. Any faulty product must be kept and returned in the original packaging with all the accessories and the original copy of the purchase receipt.
