WARNING

  • Do not add extra padding or bedding to the sleep area to avoid the risk of infant/newborn injury.
  • Only use the mattress provided by the manufacturer. Never add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding.
  • Do not exceed the safe working load of the basket or work surface.
  • Always disinfect the mattress between infant/newborns to avoid the risk of cross-contamination and infection.
  • Do not immerse the mattress in cleaning or disinfectant solutions.
  • Do not allow liquids to pool on the mattress.
  • Always completely dry the mattress, basket, and bassinet before storing, adding linens, or placing a infant/newborn in the basket. Drying the product helps to prevent the performance of the product from being impaired .

CAUTION

  • Always apply the name card to the outside of the basket to avoid the risk of choking.
  • Do not clean, service, or perform maintenance while the product is in use.
  • Do not use cleaners that are ether based as they may damage the product.

  • Do not over expose the product to higher concentration disinfectant solutions as these may degrade the product.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The HALO Bassinest® Hospital Series swivel sleeper consists of a base tower, removable basin storage bin and work surface, side-storage caddies, locking caster wheels, a clear bassinet tub and mattress. The bassinet tub allows for easy access to the  infant/newborn patient by rotating and swiveling for easy positioning and by its ergonomicallyfriendly retractable front wall.

INTENDED USE
The HALO Hospital Bassinest is designed to be a sleeping surface for infant/newborn patients. The top surface of the device raises and lowers to allow easier access to the infant/newborn. The HALO Hospital Bassinest was also designed for in-hospital transport  within newborn labor/delivery units, postpartum units, medical surgical units treating high risk pregnancy patients, NICU’s, and any other patient areas within a hospital where a newborn infant may be treated and/or cared for during hospital admissions.
This product is NOT INTENDED for patients that can crawl or reposition themselves independently.
CONTRAINDICATIONS None known.

SETUP

  1. Remove all shipping and packaging materials from the product prior to use.
  2. Remove and discard the shipping screw located on the tower/lift column of the Bassinest.
  3. Remove wrap from the work surface and removable basin storage bin.
  4. Unpack and Install two side storage caddies on each end of clear bassinet tub.
  5. Remove mattress from packaging. Clean and disinfect the mattress before installing the mattress with a pillow case.
  6. Clean and disinfect the entire unit
  7. Place mattress in a tight fitting sheet or pillowcase.
  8. Run through operation steps to ensure unit is in working order upon delivery.

OPERATION

SERIAL NUMBER LOCATION

1. To raise the BassiNet, pull upwards on the black height  adjustment knob to unlock it and then continue to pull upwards until the desired height is reached The unit will  automatically lock at the set height when the knob is released. the Bassinet underthe mothers bed.| 2. Locking and  unlocking the caster  locks A. To apply the  caster lock, push down on the pedal with your foot. B. To release the caster  lock, lift up on the pedal with your foot.| 3. To ock the retractable wall,slide the two yellow  locks s that theyfully engage under  the top edges ofthe retractable front wall.

4. To unlock the retractable front wall, slide the two yellow  locks away from the retractable front wall and under the stationary sidewalls.| 5. To lower the BassiNet, place your thumb  on the metal le and use yourindex  and middle fingers to gently pull upon the  black height adjustment knob to unlock it.  knob in the unlocked positionpush down on the pole to the desired height.| 6. To the retractable sidewall,first make sure the wall locks are in the unlocked  position. To lower the wall, put  gentle downward  pressure from your hand or  forearm in the center of the wall. When you  release the pressure, the wall will automatically return to the position.

7. To remove the sidewall, locate the two  removable side knobs on either Rotate the  knobs counter clockwise to loosen.
Pull the knobs off the assinet and remove the sidewall.| 8. Two storage caddies can be placed on end of the bassinet tub. To remove, simply  lift up. Use the storage caddies to store  items mother will need easy access to such as diapers, wipes, feeding supplies, etc.| 9. There is an additional covered storage located on the tower of the bassinet.
Simply slide a standard basin into the track to  attach to the bassinet.

TRANSPORTING THE BASSINEST

CAUTION

  • Do not apply the caster locks to stop the bassinet while in transport.
  • Do not operate the product on soft or unstable surfaces, such as sand, grass, or gravel to avoid instability or difficult mobility.
  • Do not attempt to transport with caster locks applied.

For transport, the wheels should be unlocked, transportation lock should be engaged, and rotational arm extension should be in the forward position with the bassinet tub parallel to the base of the unit.

CLEANING

WARNING

  • Always disinfect the mattress between infant/newborns to avoid the risk of cross-contamination and infection.
  • Do not immerse the mattress in cleaning or disinfectant solutions.
  • Do not allow liquids to pool on the mattress.
  • Always completely dry the mattress, basket, and bassinet before storing, adding linens, or placing a infant/ newborn in the basket. Drying the product helps to prevent the performance of the product from being impaired.

CAUTION

  • Do not clean, service, or perform maintenance while the product is in use.
  • Do not use cleaners that are ether based as they may damage the product.

Tools Required:

  • Mild anti-bacterial soap
  • Soft, lintfree cloth (2 or more)
    1. Apply the caster locks.
    2. Prepare a mild soap and warm water solution.
    3. Wipe the inside and outside of the basket and mattress with a soft, lint free cloth moistened with soap and water solution.
    4. Wipe all the bassinet surfaces, with a soft, lint free cloth moistened with soap and water solution.
    5. Wipe off excess moisture from all surfaces with a dry, soft, lint free cloth.
    6. Allow the surfaces of the basket and bassinet to dry thoroughly.

DISINFECTING

** WARNING**

  • Always disinfect the mattress between infant / newborns to avoid the risk of cross-contamination and infection.
  • Do not immerse the mattress in cleaning or disinfectant solutions.
  • Do not allow liquids to pool on the mattress.
  • Always completely dry the mattress, basket, and bassinet before storing, adding linens, or placing a infant/newborn in the basket. Drying the product helps to prevent the performance of the product from being impaired.

CAUTION

  • Do not over expose the product to higher concentration disinfectant solutions as these may degrade the product.

  • Do not use cleaners that are ether based as they may damage the product.
    Recommended disinfectants:

  • Quaternary cleaners (ammonium chloride)

  • Phenolic cleaners

  • Chlorinated bleach solution (1 part bleach solution to 100 parts water)

  • 70% isopropyl alcohol

  • Diluted hydrogen peroxide cleaners <10%
    Apply recommended disinfectant solution by spray or pre-soaked wipes. Do not soak the product.
    Note: Make sure that you follow the disinfectant’s instructions for appropriate contact time and rinsing requirements.
    Wipe all the bassinet surfaces with a dry soft, lint free cloth, to remove any excess liquid or disinfectant.
    Allow the surfaces of the basket and bassinet to dry thoroughly.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE INSPECTION

Remove product from service before you perform the preventive maintenance inspection heck all items listed. You may need to perform checks more often based on your level of product usage. Service only by qualified personnel.

WARRANTY

HALO Innovations, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser the HALO Hospital Bassinet, Model 3957, to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years after date of delivery. HALO’s obligation under this warranty is expressly  limited to supplying replacement parts for, providing labor for, and/or replacing, at its option, any product which is, at the sole discretion of HALO, found to be defective. If requested by HALO, products or parts for which a warranty claim is made shall be  returned prepaid to the factory. Any improper use or any alteration or repair by others in such manner that, in HALO’s judgment, affects the product materially and adversely shall void this warranty. Any repair of HALO products using parts not provided or authorized by HALO shall void this warranty. No employee or representative of HALO is authorized to change this warranty in any way.
Warranty exclusion and damage limitations
The express warranty set forth herein is the only warranty applicable to the product. Any and all other warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are expressly excluded by HALO.  In no event shall HALO be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
To obtain parts and service

Return authorization
Product cannot be returned without prior approval from the HALO Customer Service Department. HALO reserves the right to charge shipping and restocking fees on returned product. Special, modified, or discontinued products are not subject to return.
Damaged product
ICC Regulations require that claims for damaged product must be made within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the product. Do not accept damaged shipments unless such damage is noted on the delivery receipt at the time of receipt. Upon prompt notification,  HALO will file a freight claim with the appropriate carrier for damages incurred. Claims will be limited in amount to the actual replacement cost. In the event that this information is not received by HALO within the fifteen (15) day period following the delivery  of the product, or the damage was not noted on the delivery receipt at the time of receipt, the customer will be responsible for payment of the original invoice in full within thirty (30) days of receipt. Claims for any incomplete shipments must be made within  thirty (30) days of invoice.
Expected device life
The HALO Bassinest swivel sleeper has a three year minimum expected service life under normal use conditions and with appropriate periodic maintenance.
