Product Usage Instructions

Before First Use:
When using the appliance for the first time, expect a release of smoke, harmless odor, and light spray of particles. This is normal and will not affect the iron’s performance.

Filling with Water:

  1. Ensure the iron is turned off and unplugged.
  2. Set the steam knob to ‘0’ position.
  3. Open the water fill opening and fill the tank up to the ‘MAX’ line.
  4. Monitor water level through the transparent part of the tank.
  5. Pour out any remaining water after use.

Setting the Temperature:
Adjust the temperature control dial based on the fabric being ironed: synthetics/silk/wool or cotton/linen.

Steam Ironing:

  1. Position the iron vertically and set the temperature control dial to steam position.
  2. Preheat the iron until the pilot light goes out.
  3. Adjust the temperature regulating knob for different fabric types.

Burst or Vertical Steam Ironing:
Use burst steam function at high temperature. Stop emitting steam when the pilot light turns on and resumes ironing after it turns off.

Dry Ironing:
For ironing without steam, keep the steam control dial in the OFF position.

Spraying:
Limit spraying to three successive shots after the indicator light turns off for optimal steam quality.

Soleplate Maintenance:
Clean soleplate residue with a damp cloth. Avoid using metallic pads or placing the iron on rough surfaces to prevent scratches. If synthetic residue is present, heat the iron and iron over an old cotton rag to remove it.

FAQs:

  • Q: Can I use water additives in this steam iron?
A: No, do not use water additives or substitute water such as linen or scented water as they can stain fabrics or damage the iron.

  • Q: How do I remove starch and residue from the soleplate?
A: Use a damp cloth to clean the soleplate. Avoid using metallic pads and always place the iron on a smooth surface to prevent scratches.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an iron, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

  • Only use an iron for its intended use.
  • To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
  • Always turn the iron OFF before plugging or unplugging the iron from the electrical outlet. Never pull on the cord to disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull on the plug to disconnect the iron.
  • Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces. Let the iron cool completely before putting the iron away. Coil the cord loosely around the iron when storing.
  • Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet before filling the iron with water, emptying the water from the iron, and when the iron is not in use.
  • Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or in the event the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron. Take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect assembly might result in a risk of electric shock when the iron is used after reassembly.
  • Close supervision is required for any appliance used by or near children. Do not leave the iron unattended while the iron is connected or on an ironing board.
  • Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a STEAM IRON upside down – there might be hot water in the reservoir.
  • To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate an iron on the same circuit with another high wattage appliance.
  • If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the iron shall be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or be tripped over.
  • The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface;
  • When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable; • The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
  • Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet, before you leave the room

OPERATION INSTRUCTION

USING YOUR STEAM IRON
Filling with water
Make sure the iron is turned off and the power cord is unplugged from the electrical outlet.

  1. Set the ‘Variable’ steam knob to the ‘0’ position before filling the iron with water.
  2. Open the ‘Water Fill’ Opening and fill the Tank up to the ‘MAX’ Line on the tank.

  4. Pour out the remaining water after use.

Note:
Most tap water can be used in this iron. Do not use water additives or substitute water such as linen or scented water in the steam iron, they can stain fabrics or damage the iron. Do not fill the water more than the ‘MAX’ position.

Steam ironing

  1. Position the iron vertically and set the Temperature Control Dial to the steam position.
  2. Insert the plug into the socket, and then turn the temperature control dial to”MAX”, otherwise the water will leak from the soleplate.
  3. The pilot light will turn on, indicating that the iron is heating up.
  4. Preheat the iron until the pilot light goes out. The light will turn off when the indicated setting reaches the correct temperature.
  5. Turn the Temperature regulating knob to the required setting for different types of fabric.

Now steam ironing can begin.

Burst or vertical steam ironing

  • Press the burst of Steam button to generate a powerful burst of steam that can penetrate the fabrics and smooth the most difficult and tough creases. Wait for a few seconds before pressing again.
  • By pressing the Burst of Steam Button at intervals you can also iron vertically (curtain, hung garments, etc.)

Note : The burst steam function can only be used at high temperature. Stop the emission when the pilot light turns on, then start ironing again only after the pilot light has turned off.

Dry ironing
For ironing without steam, follow the instruction in section “steam ironing”, however, the steam control dial should remain in position “OFF” (no steam).

Spraying

  • Press the spray button to spray water on clothes, as often as required. Note: When using the water spray function, ensure that there is enough water in the water tank, and you may have to pump the spray button several times at first time you use the iron in order to start the spraying function.

Note:
For optimum steam quality, do not apply more than three successive shots after the indicator light goes off.

Soleplate:
Starch and other residue may be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth. To avoid scratches the finishing, never use a metallic pad to clean the Soleplate, and never place the iron on a rough surface. If synthetics are ironed at too high temperature not only is the fabric usually ruined, but the iron Soleplate is often covered with the melted remains of the synthetic fabric. The best way to remove synthetic residue from the Soleplate is to heat the iron and to iron over an old cotton rag.

CAUTION:
Never Use steam iron cleaners in the iron, since they may damage the working parts of the iron.

CLEANING AND CARE

How to clean and store

  • After using, lift the iron with the filling hole downwards to empty the remaining water from the Water tank.
  • insert the plug into the socket, and set the Temperature Control Dial to “MAX” for 1-2 minutes to evaporate the remaining water, and then unplug the iron and let it cool down before storing it.

Anti-calc system
A special filter inside the water tank softens the water and prevents scale build-up in the soleplate. The filter is permanent and does not need replacing.
Note : Use soft water only. Distilled and demineralized water makes the anti-calc system ineffective by altering its physicochemical characteristics.

CAUTION:

  • When the plug connecting with the power socket, the user is not allowed to leave. When the power cord is damaged, contact your dealers or an authorized service center for repair.
  • In case of any repairs, replacement of cord or plug, or adjustment, please consult a qualified technician, or take appliance to an authorized service facility
