Before the First Use

Read the operating instructions and the safety instructions carefully before using the device for the first time. Attention

This product is a delicate product, do not drop or hit it anywhere.
Do not place the camera near to strong magnetism, such as magnets and motors. Avoid to place the product near anything emitting strong radio waves, a strong magnetic field may cause the product to malfunction or damage the image and sound.
Do not place the camera at high temperatures or direct sunlight.
Use brand Micro SD cards as ordinary cards do not guarantee the proper use.
Do not use Micro SD cards in or near magnetic places to avoid loss of data.
During the charging process, if there is overheating, smoke or odor, unplug the power immediately and stop charging to avoid fire.
Keep away the camera and its accessories from children to avoid choking or electric shocks.
Store the product in a cool and dry place.
Do not use the camera when it is low power or in charging.
Do not attempt to open the case of the camera or modify it in any way, the warranty will be lost.

Waterproof Case
Insert Camera into Waterproof Case

Ensure the case is clean.
Insert the camera and make sure the lens fits neatly in the lens cavity.
Close the locking clamps.
The camera can be mounted using the accessories provided.

Battery
Before using the device for the first time, you must fully charge the battery.
Charging the Battery

Connect the camera to a computer or USB power supply (DC 5V 2A).
The charging status light turns on while the battery is charging.
The charging status light turns off when the battery is fully charged.

Changing the Battery

Hold the camera so that you can see the camera display and slide the battery cover to the right to open the battery compartment.
Remove the battery.
insert the new battery so the contacts line up with those of the camera.

Getting Started

Turn On: Press and hold the Power/Mode Button for 3 seconds. When the camera is turned on, the Operation Indicator turns on.
Turn Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode Button for 3 seconds.

Button Function

Overview Menu
Turn the camera on and press the Mode Button to access the following camera menu and to select the different modes. To access a mode, briefly press the
Shutter/Select Button:

Return to previous screen

To exit the menu, press the Power/ Mode Button or press the Shutter/Select Button in the fourth tab.

Mode Menu
Here you can choose the different video (1.1) or photo (1.2) modes. Use the Mode Button to select the various options. Access the requested option by pressing the Shutter/Select Button. To choose between video mode and photo mode, press the Power/Mode Button.

Video Mode:
Press the Shutter/Select Button to start recording. The camera symbol on the screen gets red while recording. Press Shutter/Select Button again to stop recording.
Photo Mode:
Press the Shutter/Select Button to take a single picture.
Playback Video and Photo

In the playback mode you can preview the videos and photos taken.
Playback Files on Camera
Make sure you selected the Video or Photo Playback menu on the camera. Press the Mode Button to cycle the videos or photos, then press the Shutter/Select Button to playback and pause the videos. Press the Power/Mode Button to go back.
Delete Files on Camera
Make sure you selected the Video or Photo Playback menu on the camera. Press and hold the Shutter/Select Button for 2 seconds to delete the shown file. Switch with the Mode Button to confirm, then confirm with the Shutter/ Select Button.
System Settings:
In the System Setting mode you can enter the settings for the system and choose different parameters for the camera. Rollei-Actioncam-10s-Plus-

Return to the Previous Screen
Press the Shutter/Select Button to exit the menu or press the Power/Mode Button.

Touch Function

You can use the touch screen to access the functions of the camera.

Swipe to the left or right to change between the video mode and the photo mode.
In the video or photo mode you can access the playback mode via the symbol in the left lower corner and the settings with the symbol in the right lower corner.
During playback, click to play and pause playback video. The finger slides up and down to adjust the volume.
In playback mode, wipe down to retrieve the file information.
Swipe up to access the mode menu of video and photo.
Swipe down to open shortcuts to WiFi, sound, lock and power off for quick operations. With the lower symbol you can exit the shortcut menu.
To unlock touch the display and swipe from left to right, following the arrows or press the Shutter/Select Button.

Remote Control (not included)
With the remote control which can be bought separately you can operate the action cam from a distance. There are twoshutter buttons, one for the photo mode and one for the video mode, which take a photo (1) or start and end the recording of a video (2). Radiofrequency of the remote control: 2.412 – 2.472 GHz;
transmitting power: 10 dBm
Please note: the remote control is waterproof for a depth of up to 2 meters.
Connection of an External Monitor
You can connect an external monitor via the micro HDMI port. You can use all resolutions of the camera as resolution, as long as the monitor supports them.
Note: The camera does not support live online streaming.
Storage / Micro Cards
This camera is compatible with Micro SD and Micro SDXC memory cards with up to 64 GB capacity. You must use a micro SD card with a U3 or V30 speed rating at least. We recommend using brand-name memory cards for maximum reliability in high vibration activities.
Please note:

Memory card is not included in the standard package, you will need to buy an extra memory card.
Please format the Micro SD / Micro SDXC memory card on the camera before using.
Please restart the camera after formating.
Please insert the memory card in correct way, otherwise the card slot maybe damaged.

Operation via the App and WiFi Settings
You can connect the camera to your smartphone via the integrated WiFi function. Turn the camera on and press the Shutter/Select Button for 3 seconds, or wipe down the touchscreen to turn on WiFi via the shortcut, or open SystemPreferences to enable WiFi. The camera‘s WiFi is activated, the WiFi indicator lights up, and the WiFi information (network name and network password „1234567890“) appears on the camera‘s monitor. Then connect the camera to the smartphone by going to the WiFi settings of your smartphone and selecting the camera‘s network and connecting it. Download the free app „5s/6s/7s/10s Plus Actioncam“ (Android version) from the Google Play Store or the iOS version „Rollei 5s/6s/7s/10s Plus Actioncam“ from the App Store and install it on your smartphone. After installing it, open the app and select the camera network from the list. You will see the camera on the phone‘s screen. To exit WiFi mode press the Shutter/Select Button shortly.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging correctly. For this purpose, use the local possibilities for collecting paper, cardboard and light packaging (applicable in the European Union and other European states with systems for the separate collection of recyclable materials).
Appliances marked with this symbol must not be disposed of with household waste! You are legally obliged to dispose of old appliances separately from household waste. Information on collection points that accept old appliances free of charge can be obtained from your community or municipal administration.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste! As a consumer, you are legally obliged to dispose of all batteries and accumulators in an environmentally sound manner, regardless of whether or not they contain harmful substances. Rechargeable batteries and batteries are therefore marked with the adjacent symbol. For more information, please contact your dealer or the return and collection points in your community.

Battery Warning

Never dismantle, crush, or pierce the battery, or allow the battery to short-circuit. Do not expose the battery being placed in a high-temperature environment, if the battery leaks or bulges, stop continuing to use.
Always charge using the charger. Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
Keep the battery out of reach of children.
Batteries may explode if exposed to naked fire. Never dispose of batteries in a fire.
Disposed of used batteries observing local regulations.
Before disposing of the device, please remove the battery.

Safety Instructions

Danger to children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities (for example partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical and mental capabilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (for example older children). – This product can be used by children aged 14 and over. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

The packaging material is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with the packaging film. They may get caught in it while playing and suffocate.
Supervise children to ensure that they do not play with small parts (screws, dowels, memory card, batteries/rechargeable batteries). If you suspect that a small part has been swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Store small parts so that they are inaccessible to children and animals.

Improper handling of the product can lead to injuries.

Immediately remove the battery and, if necessary, the charging cable in the event of unusual noises or smells as well as smoke from the housing.

NOTE! Risk of property damage!
Improper handling of the product can lead to damage. – Never place the unit on or near hot surfaces (e.g. hot plates, etc.) or open flames. Never expose the appliance to high temperatures (heating etc.).

Never pour liquid into the appliance. – Do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning. – Do not use the appliance if the plastic or metal parts of the appliance are cracked or deformed.
Handle the appliance with care. Impacts, drops or shocks may damage the unit.
Remove the battery if you are not going to use the product for a long time to prevent damage from a leaking battery.
Use the product only in a temperature range between -10 °C and +60 °C. The product is suitable for use in tropical climates.
Do not modify the unit. – Never open the casing, leave the repair to professionals. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose. Liability and warranty claims are excluded in the event of repairs carried out by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation.
Do not operate the unit if it shows visible damage or defects. – If you are not using the unit, cleaning it or if a malfunction occurs, always switch the unit off and remove the battery and disconnect all connections.
If the product has problems due to static discharge, switch the unit off and then on again after about 10 seconds.
