Welcome to Joie
You have purchased a high-quality, fully certified child safety child
restraint. This product is suitable for the use of your child with height and
weight according to the following:
- C-Level Recline: child height 40cm – 85cm/ child weight≤13kg
- i-Gemm 3: child height 40cm – 85cm/ child weight≤13kg
- i-Jemini: child height 40cm – 85cm/ child weight≤13kg
- i-Juva: child height 40cm – 75cm/ child weight≤13kg
- i-Snug 2: child height 40cm – 75cm/ child weight≤13kg
IMPORTANT: KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Carefully read this Instruction Manual and follow the installing steps because this is the ONLY way to protect your child from serious injury or death in case of an accident, and to provide comfort to your child while using this product. In case of an emergency or accident, it is most important to have your child
taken care of with first aid and medical treatment immediately.
Installation with base
- This is an i-Size Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is approved according to UN Regulation No.129, for use in, i-Size compatible vehicle seating positions as indicated by vehicle manufacturers in the vehicle users’ manual.
- If in doubt, consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System the manufacturer or the retailer.

Installation Concerns
- This infant carrier module is suitable for vehicle seats with i-Size ISOFIX anchor points with the Base.
- DO NOT install this infant child restraint on vehicle seats that face sideways or rearward concerning the moving direction of the vehicle.
- DO NOT place rear-facing infant child restraint on the front seat with an air bag, because death or serious injury may occur. Please reference the vehicle owner’s manual for more information.
- It is recommended to install this infant child restraint on the rear vehicle seat.
- DO NOT install this infant child restraint on vehicle seats movable during installation.
Installation with base
- Fit the ISOFIX guides with the ISOFIX anchor points. 1 The ISOFIX guides can protect the surface of the vehicle seat from being torn. They can also guide the ISOFIX connectors.
- Unfold the load leg from the storage compartment. 2
- Line up the ISOFIX connectors with the ISOFIX guides, and then click both ISOFIX connectors into the ISOFIX anchor points. 3
- Make sure that both ISOFIX connectors are securely attached to their ISOFIX anchor points. There should be two audible clicks and the colours of the indicators on both ISOFIX connectors should be completely green. 3 -1
- Check to make sure the base is securely installed by pulling on both ISOFIX connectors.
- After placing the base on the vehicle seat, extend the load leg to floor 4, When the load leg indicator shows green means it is installed correctly and red means it is installed incorrectly. 4 -3
- The load leg has 24 positions. When the load leg indicator shows red this means the load leg is in the wrong position.
- Make sure the load leg is in full contact with the vehicle floor pan.
- Squeeze the load leg releasing the button, then shorten the load leg upwards.
- Always make sure the support load leg has direct contact with the floor and is in a locked position even when the child is not in it.
- The completely assembled base is shown as 5 The ISOFIX connectors must be attached and locked onto the ISOFIX anchor points. 5 -1
- The load leg must be installed correctly with a green indicator. 5 -2
- Push the infant carrier module down into the base 6, if the infant child restraint is secure, the shell indicator shows green.
- Installation with base Pull up on the infant carrier module to be sure it is securely latched into the base.
- Press the base release button and push the base back against the vehicle seat until tight. 8
- To release the infant carrier module 9 -2, lift the infant carrier module off while pressing the infant carrier module release button. 9 -1
- To remove the base, press the secondary lock button 10 -1 first and then the button 10 -2 on the ISOFIX connectors before removing the base from the vehicle seat. 10
