Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Disconnect the Battery
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting the installation process.
Step 2: Remove Stock Air Box
Remove the bolt that mounts the front of the air box to the vehicle. Lift out the air box and remove it along with the inlet hose.
Step 3: Prepare Inlet Tube
Unplug the air temperature sensor on the stock inlet tube. Remove the sensor for re-use in the BBK inlet tube. Loosen the clamp at the throttle body for further installation steps.
Step 4: Install Filter Shield
Place the filter shield into position in the engine compartment and secure it using the stock bolt. Follow instructions for attaching additional components and hardware as per the supplied kit.
Step 5: Attach Rubber Grommet and Sensor
Install the supplied rubber grommet into the hole in the BBK Inlet Tube. Then, install the Air Temperature Sensor into the grommet.
Step 6: Connect the Hose Connector
Place the supplied blue hose connector and clamps onto the throttle body opening. Ensure a secure fit by tightening the clamp on the throttle body.

2005-2010 Dodge Charger/Challenger/Magnum/300C 6.1L SRT8
SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED : No special tools are required.
INSTALL TIME : Approximately 30 minutes.
DIFFICULTY: Very easy.
FITMENT AND OPERATION
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO ENSURE CORRECT FITMENT AND OPERATION
STEP 1: Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
STEP 2
Unplug the air temperature sensor on the stock inlet tube. Remove the sensor for re-use in the BBK inlet tube. Loosen the clamp at the throttle body.
STEP 3
Remove the bolt that mounts the front of the air box to the vehicle. Lift out the air box and remove it with the inlet hose.
STEP 4
On the bottom rear of the stock air box, remove the rubber grommet for re-use with the BBK filter shield.
STEP 5
From the supplied hardware kit, find the aluminum pin and 1/4* Phillips screw and install on the BBK filter shield. Install the stock rubber grommet onto the pin. Install the supplied sponge rubber seal to the top of the filter shield.
STEP 6
Place the filter shield into place in the engine compartment and line up the grommet with its hole. Mount the front tab of the filter shield using the stock Holt
STEP 7
From the hardware kit, install the supplied rubber grommet into the hole in the BBK Inlet Tube. Install the Air Temperature Sensor into the grommet.
STEP 8
Place the supplied blue hose connector and clamps onto the throttle body opening. Tighten the clamp on the throttle body to hold the connector into place.
STEP 9
Place the supplied filter into the shield area and push the neck of the filter base, where the clamp mounts, through the opening in the filter shield. Install the BBK Inlet Tube into the filter and into the blue hose connector. Position for the best fitment and be sure the opening in the base of the filter lines up with the smaller hole in the filter shield. Then tighten the clamps.
STEP 10
The 5.7L Engines require the use of the 90-degree fitting for the breather hose.
The 6.1L Engines require the use of the straight fitting for the breather hose.
STEP 11
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
