D-RO-BP Reverse Osmosis Booster Pump
The DROP RO Booster pump has been designed to allow the DROP RO filter to
supply water to any faucet, and to be able to supply a refrigerator with water
for an ice maker. The RO booster pump is designed to be able to supply water
from the level of the RO filter up to 10 feet above the level of the RO
filter. If a faucet or water outlet is below the level of the booster pump, a
slight restriction in the water line may be needed to allow normal operation
to that outlet.
The RO Booster pump is designed to protect itself from running continually. In
normal operation, the pump will turn on and off immediately as water is used.
If air gets into the water line (For example, the RO water tank is ran empty)
the pump will automatically detect this and turn off, but may run for a
limited amount of time even with the water outlet(s) turned off. Normal
operation will return automatically once the RO makes more water and the air
is emptied out of the lines.
Note: Most modern refrigerators that have a water dispenser in the door
also have an internal water filter. The flow from a door dispenser will be
low. Filter bypasses can be found for some refrigerators that might help
improve the flow.
