How to Replace Batteries in a DSC Motion Sensor Model WLS904
Description
This page shows battery replacement for a DSC Motion Sensor Model WLS-904
Because there
are many different versions of motion sensors, it is important to remove the
sensor cover first to determine what kind of batteries are required for your
equipment. We advise you to check before purchasing batteries.
Preparation
IMPORTANT customers who use myadt.ca
Before removing the sensor, place the panel on test mode through
myadt.ca.
After logging in:
- Tap [Home]
- Tap [Place on Test]
- Enter your expiration date and time
- Enter your password
- Tap [Yes-Proceed]
Parts Required
- One CR123A 3volt lithium battery
- A small Phillips screwdriver
Instructions

Remove the tiny screw on the bottom of the motion sensor, put in a safe place

Grab sensor firmly and slide the sensor away from the screw slot

The alarm panel may begin to beep; you may choose to silence the alarm by entering your code

On the bottom of the sensor there is a battery compartment
a. Using both thumbs press down on the compartment door and slide the door off of the sensor -
Replace the batteries

Reposition the battery compartment door by sliding it back into place

Reposition the motion sensor back onto the back plate

Find the holes on the back of the motion sensor

Align the holes with the back plate and slide down into place

Reposition the tiny screw on the bottom and secure into place

Arm and disarm the alarm to clear panel alert
If the low battery alert does not clear or if the panel shows sensor tamper, walk through the steps above once more. It could be either the batteries or sensor cover are not on properly
