Turn off Breaker
Before installing the video doorbell, make sure the power to your existing doorbell is turned off at the breaker.
Test doorbell offline
Test the video doorbell by pushing the button on the front. If the LED ring spins white and you hear a chime, the doorbell is charged and working properly.
Wiring digital chime
If your home has a digital doorbell chime, a digital adapter must be installed for the video doorbell to work. Follow the wiring instructions provided with the digital adapter.
Wiring mechanical chime
If your home has a mechanical doorbell chime, proceed with the following steps:
- Disconnect your existing doorbell button.
- Loosen the terminal screws and attach the provided diode to the ‘Front’ and ‘Trans’ terminals on your chime. The diode ensures that the video doorbell is constantly powered.
