This is a quick user’s guide explaining how to set the system up and get it
running. If you need customer support, please email us at support@anran-

Safety Tips
- Do not put any item containing fluid on the product.
- Use the product in ventilated area and avoid blocking the vents.
- Use the included power supply with the product to prevent damage.
- Use the product within its standard working temperature and humidity range.
- Obey your local regulations and policies during installation.
What else do you need?
- The NVR (NVR, Network Video Recorder, the main box) is like a desktop PC, you only need a display for it.
- Tips : Display could be a PC monitor or a TV, with either VGA, or HDMI video input port.
- Internet connection. Like a PC, you can use it without Internet; but with Internet connection you can have the system’s full capabilities. Hard wire the NVR via network cable to your router to get network.

Installation Tips
Package includes
After the item is received, please check all products and accessories
according to vendor’s Package Includes description. If anything is missed or
damaged, please contact us.
A test run
The cameras require mounting and power cabling in some situations. To save
your time and make sure all devices work well, we suggest a test run of all
devices IN THE SAME PLACE before installation. Follow the steps in section 6
to run the system. If everything works well, you can then go ahead and mount
cameras to where you want. If there is any exception, please contact ANRAN
support or your vendor.
Live View Setup
Preparation:
- The ANRAN camera system/NVR.
- A monitor or a TV.
- A VGA cable or an HDMI cable. (Many monitors/ TVs have them as standard accessories
- A router for Internet connection.
Steps to setup the system
Please connect the POE camera systems as below picture.

Connect the monitor/ TV to the NVR via its HDMI or VGA port.

Connect the USB mouse to the USB port of NVR.

Connect the NVR’s UP LINK (WAN) port to your router with a network cable.

Connecting NVR and POE cameras via network cable which included in the package.

Connect the NVR to the DC48V power adapter, and then plug the power adapter into AC power socket powered by AC Electric Supply.
Tips: In regards to NVR power adapter output DC 48V Power Supply (DC48). Please plug into NVR power supply first, then plug the power adapter into AC power socket. The DC48V power adapter is only used for the NVR. Please don’t use it for the cameras. -
Turn on the NVR, wait a moment, then you are able to operate the system.
Set a password
- Step1. To protect your privacy, please set your password at earliest convenience. When connecting to the camera system for the first time, the system will ask you to set a password and change language.
- Step 2. Log in to the system with your new password
Username : admin
Password : input your new password
Remote View Setup
View on mobile APP
Step1. Download the APP.
Search “ANRAN” on Apple store or Google play to download the app.

Step2. Register an account.
- Open the App, click “Sign up” to register. If you already have an account, click “Log In” to log in.
- On the registration interface, enter a valid Email address, and read the “User Agreement” and “Privacy Policy”. After confirmation, click “Next”. When entering the received verification code, set up a nickname and password, and click “Done”.
Step3. Add the device to APP.
- Before adding devices to the APP, please make sure your camera system is connected to your home router with a network cable. ( Please prepare a network cable of appropriate length according to the NVR location.)
- Please make sure that the wireless network connected to the mobile phone and the device are the same router.
Method one:
Click the icon on the display screen, scan the QR code with your phone APP,
and add the camera system to the App. Or scan the QR code pasted on the device
casing with the App of your phone, and add the NVR to the App.
Method Two:
- Click “Add Device” or “+”, and then select “Camera Kits” >> “NVR Kits” to add a device.
- Make sure your camera system is connected to your home router with a network cable. Click “Next” according to the instructions, the APP will search for devices in the same LAN, and then click to add the device.
- Click the added device to view the live view of the camera.
Recording and Storage setting
Click Setting > Storage to enter the interface.
- Record-setting: You can select to turn on “Overwrite old” or “All Day” mode. The constant is when the HDD is full, start to overwrite the recording from the very first frame;
- All day: To record video throughout the day. It means that the system will record video 24 hours a day (24×7 recording).
- Expiration time (days) : You can set up the expiration time of playback. Recordings that exceed the expiration time can not be read.
- Disk setting: You can view the usage of HDD, or format it when needed.
Camera Settings
Click Settings > Camera Settings to enter the interface. You can select the
camera channel or bitrate of the mainstream, as well as set up motion
detection, sound detection, and light or audible alarm functions (Some
channels support functions such as sound detection, sound and light alarm.
Please select the channel according to the actual situation.)
- Set up the camera : You can select the camera channel, set up the bitrate of the main stream and select the video encoding format.
- Motion detection: You can enable the function, select sensitivity and alarm type, and set up defence time. You can also set up defence area. Click the left mouse button and drag to draw the wanted area. Click Apply to save.
- Al detection : You can enable the function, select detection type, draw detection area, select sensitivity and alarm type, and set up defence time. Click Apply to save.
- Sound detection: You can enable the function, select sensitivity and alarm type, and set up defence time. Sound detection adds an extra dimension to active incident management by catching audible indicators of imminent threats.
- Light : You can select supplement light mode if your cameras support this function. This function is only available during evening.
- Alert Linkage: When the alarms Al detection and motion detection are triggered, it will make sound and light alarms.
Other Settings
User setting Click Settings > User to enter the interface. You can change the
system password, add or delete users, and assign user authorities.
Default setting
Click Settings > Default to enter the interface. You can set up auto reboot
time, restore to default settings (all parameters except channel settings are
restored), or restore to factory settings (restore all parameters to default
settings).
System setting
Click Settings > System Upgrade to enter the interface.
- View system info: You can view device information.
- Upgrade NVR: Put the latest firmware into the USB device, and insert the USB to the NVR. Click the Check Upgrade to find the latest firmware, and follow the prompts to upgrade.
Playback
Click “Playback” to enter the video playback interface, you can specify the
channels & date to search out the video recordings. Put the mouse at the
button timeline and choose a time period, double click to play.
Playbacks of Al detection
- Al function : You have to turn on the function to receive alarms. Click “Settings > Camera Settings > Al” to turn on.
- Alarm image: The thumbnail shows the previously detected alarms. Click on the thumbnail to quickly locate the key node where the event occurred
Warranty Tips
