Installation
Locking Latch Removal (Optional)
If you want to remove the locking latch, ALWAYS remove it before installing
the nozzle.
- Use locking pliers hold the nozzle steady.
- To prevent the rivet from rotating, move the latch to a locked position by pulling the trigger and latch against the locking plate.
- Use a power drill with a ¼″ drill bit (not included) to drill off the riveted end of the latch. Push the latch rivet out of the latch. The latch clip, rivet, and leaf spring may be discarded. Do not remove the latch plate.
Nozzle Installation
-
Turn off the dispenser, close its emergency impact Valves, and relieve line pressure and standing fuel through your old nozzle’s spout into a gasoline approved container.
-
Remove your old nozzle.
-
Use specifically gasoline-approved pipe thread sealant on the male threads of the hose. Do not use generic teflon tape.
If needed, install the provided fuel hose connector and tighten it approximately 1 or 2 turns past and tight but do not overtighten. If you want to keep the hose connector in a specific angle, use the hex wrench to fasten its bolt. -
Screw the hose into the new nozzle and tighten by using a wrench on the hose nut only. Do not overtighten.
-
Pressurize the system while you inspect for any leaks or loose connections. Tighten or repair accordingly.
Operation
- Place the nozzle spout fully in the receiving tank or pipe, turn the pump on and pull the nozzle trigger to allow the fuel to flow. If the locking latch has not been removed, the trigger will automatically stay in place. The nozzle will automatically shut off the supply when the fuel level covers the small vent hole on the underside of the nozzle spout.
- Release the trigger and remove the nozzle spout from your receiving tank.
- Place the nozzle into its housing and turn off the pump if necessary.
Maintenance
- Always fully relieve pressure from the fuel system, turn off and tag out the corresponding4 dispenser, and close its emergency impact valves before performing any maintenance.
