Safety Instructions
Take a few minutes to read this manual to ensure your child’s safety. Many avoidable injuries are caused by reckless and incorrect use of the car seat. The car seat is designed for use on front-facing car seats only and should not be installed on rearward or sideways facing seats or car seats. If a car seat is installed on the front seat, the frontal airbag must be deactivated. It is advised to install the car seat on the rear bench of a car only. Refer to your vehicle’s manual for instructions on using a car seat with a child car seat.
WARNINGS:
- Take a few minutes to read this manual to ensure the safety of your child. Many avoidable injuries are caused by reckless and improper use of the car seat.
- The car seat should only be installed on the back seat of a car. The front airbags can cause serious injury or death if activated. We recommend installing the car seat rear-facing.
- Instructions regarding the suitability of a car seat for use with a child restraint system can be found in the car’s manual.
- The child should be properly secured in the car seat with the seatbelt. Ensure that the seatbelt is positioned correctly on the child and not twisted. Do not dress the child in thick clothing under the seatbelt.
- Regularly check the car seat for any damage or wear and tear. Replace any damaged or worn-out parts immediately. Only use original spare parts provided by the manufacturer.
- Do not modify or alter the car seat in any way. Any modifications can compromise the safety of your child.
- Do not expose the car seat to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Excessive heat can cause burns to your child. Protect your child and the car seat from the sun.
- Ensure that all parts of the car seat work properly. The components of a child car seat should never be greased or oiled.
- Keep small parts out of reach of children. Children can choke on small parts or play with the seatbelt.
Use of Seat Reducer
The seat reducer (position 15) improves comfort and provides extra support
for small children. It is recommended to use both the lower part and the upper
part that serves as a head cushion for the child until the child needs more
space in the car seat. The seat reducer should then be removed.
Installation of Seat Reducer
To install the seat reducer, follow these steps:
- Place the lower part of the seat reducer in the car seat (fig. C.1).
- Attach the upper part of the seat reducer to the lower part using the designated fasteners (fig. C.2).
- Ensure that the seat reducer is securely attached and does not move or shift during use (fig. C.3).
