Security instructions
CAUTION:
- Read this manual carefully. Do not start using this equipment until it has been read and you have become familiar with the safety, assembly, use and maintenance instructions.
- This equipment should only be used on a level and stable surface.
- Do not overload the unit or its life will be shortened.
- Do not use or store the unit in damp locations or on metal surfaces.
- Do not use the unit in closed or partially enclosed spaces, such as rooms, basements, garages, caves or tunnels.
DANGER:
Carbon monoxide. Using the machine inside a closed or partially
unventilated enclosure CAN KILL YOU WITHIN MINUTES. Flue gases contain carbon
monoxide, a colorless, odorless, but lethal gas.
- Do not use the unit in the rain or in damp or wet locations. DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION. The machine produces high voltage, you may be electrocuted if used in wet conditions.
- Do not connect the unit to the electrical installation of a building.
WARNING:
Danger of fire and damage to equipment. Improper connection can damage the
generator as well as cause a fire.
- Keep any flammable products at least 1 meter away from the unit.
- Danger of fire or explosion. The machine produces heat when operating. Working with it near flammable products may cause them to overheat and cause fire.
- Smoking is prohibited while refueling.
- Fire and/or explosion. Gasoline and its vapors are highly flammable and explosive under certain conditions. Both gasoline and its vapors can be ignited by a cigarette butt, a spark, contact with a hot surface, etc., causing a fire or explosion.
- Avoid spilling fuel when refueling.
- Stop the engine before refueling.
- Use caution around hot objects and surfaces.
- Danger of burns. The exhaust pipe reaches high temperatures during and immediately after starting the engine. Accidental contact with any hot surface, such as the exhaust, can cause serious burns.
- Keep children, people and animals away when the machine is running.

PRE-OPERATION CHECK
Please do the the followingpraparation before operation to ensure the reliable
function of the unit, or may result in equipment damage and shorter service
life.
Engine oil level
The unit comes without engine oil when purchased. Before using the unit,
please add the required amount of SAE 15W-40 oil.SAE 15W-40 motor oil
(Goodyear oil) is recommended for all temperatures. Other oil viscosities (as
shown in the table) may be used when temperatures in your area are within the
range indicated.
NOTE: Check the oil only when the unit is turned off and on a level
surface.
Fuel Level
- Put the unit on a level surface.
- Remove the fuel tank cap.
- Check the fuel level and add fuel if necessary. Be sure not to overfill.
- Avoid overfilling or spillage.
CAUTION. Expansion of the fuel in the tank can cause it to overflow and
spill and possibly cause a fire or explosion. Please do not add fuel up to the
mouth of the tank, leave some room for expansion.
Refill with fuel up to the height of the filter. Replace the fuel filler cap
and close it tightly.
CAUTION. Do not add gasoline and oil mixture used for two-stroke engines.
Do not use old fuel.
Prevent dirt from entering the fuel tank, such as dust, water, etc. Drain the
fuel tank and carburetor if you are not going to use it for a long period of
time as the fuel degrades and you may find it difficult to start the engine
later.
Air filter
-
Remove the air filter container (Fig. 1).
-
Check that the air filter element is intact and clean. If it is broken, replace it with a new one.
-
If the element is dirty, clean it as follows (Fig. 2).
– Clean the filter element with cleaning solvent.
– Dry it.
– Soak the filter with engine oil.
– Squeeze to drain excess oil. -
Put the filter element back in its original place, mount the cover and close it with the pin (Fig. 1).
Battery (Only for models with electric starter)
- Check the battery and its connections.
- Verify that each cell of the battery is between the maximum level of electrolyte marked on the battery (Fig.4).
- Check the electrolyte levels.
- Upper level

Grounding the unit
Have the unit grounded at all times to prevent possible electrocution. There
is a grounding nut on the lower right side of the control panel. Connect the
nut securely to a grounding wire before use.
STARTING THE ENGINE
WARNING. Be sure to perform all necessary inspections before starting the motor.
- Unplug all AC plugs to de-energize.
- Check that the unit is properly grounded.
- Check the fuel and oil level.
- Turn the fuel stopcock to the ON position (Fig. 5).
- Place the choke in the OFF position (Fig. 6).
WARNING: Don’t close the choke when the engine is hot.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for models with manual start.
- Turn the switch key to position E for units with electric ignition (Fig. 7).
- Pull the manual starter handle until you feel a slight resistance and then quickly pull hard.
- Put the handle back carefully to avoid damaging the ignition system.
- For models with electric ignition E, turn the key to the START position.
- If the engine does not start the first time, pull the choke and repeat the operation described in the previous point.
WARNING. After starting the engine, the handle must be released carefully to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment, remember that it can bounce.

GENERATOR USE
To keep your machine in good condition, do the following:
DANGER. Electrical Shock. Failure to properly ground the generator can
result in electrocution.
Grounding
Always have the unit grounded to prevent possible electrocution.
Wattage of Electrical Devices
Reference data of the rating wattage and (the way to calculate) the starting
wattage of the electric appliances connecting to the generator.

WARNING. Electric motors require far more wattage than the rated ones at
starting, be sure not to exceed the rated output of the generator set when
connecting loads to it.
Connection Sequence
If there are two or more elements that require load from the power generator,
be sure to connect them one at a time, starting with the one that requires the
most current, followed by the second most currentdemanding element until the
one that requires the least current.
Instructions on AC Usage
NOTE. Acquaint yourself with the parameters on the control panel to
ensure correct usage within the rated output of the generator set.
CAUTION. The generator can operate at the set output range only if the
temperature, pressure and humidity are constant. Variations in temperature,
pressure and humidity can influence the current output range.
The temperature at which the unit can be started up is between 15ºC – 40ºC. Normal conditions are:
- Ambient temperature: 25ºC
- Ambient pressure: 100 kPa
- Relative humidity: 30%.
- Height above sea level: 1000 m
The generator can supply AC power at 110/220V, set the voltage selector (if
equipped) to the position that suits your equipment. If the generator is not
equipped with a voltage selector, there will be a 110V and a 220V plug
respectively. Please plug in a power cord suitable for the electrical load you
will need.
Instruction on DC Usage
Pay special attention when connecting the positive and negative poles to the
DC socket.
CAUTION. Do not use the DC output as a current source for charging
batteries.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
In case of emergency
Set the ignition switch to OFF position directly to stop the generator.
Under normal conditions
- Turn off the AC circuit breaker and unplug all outlets.
- Run the unit unloaded for a few minutes to allow the generator to cool down.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position (Fig. 11).
- Close the fuel cock. OFF position (Fig. 12).
WARNING. Don’t touch any of the components that get hot until the unit is
turned off and has cooled down completely to avoid burns.
CAUTION. Fuel storage in unit which is not to be used for long time will
cause it difficult to start the engine. Drain the fuel for long-time storage
of the unit.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance schedule
The unit should be serviced according to the following maintenance schedule.
Stop the engine before performing maintenance. Ensure good ventilation if you
have to run the engine, because the exhaust contains carbon monoxide.
To prevent corrosion, wipe the generator with a cloth and remove sediment.

Replacement of engine oil
Please drain the oil from the engine before it cools down to ensure good oil
flow.
- Remove the screw and pull out the oil dipstick.
- Unscrew the drain plug and remove the oil from the crater.
- Replace the drain plug.
- Fill with engine oil to the top mark on the dipstick.
Recommended engine oil
4-stroke gasoline engine oil type SE, SF of API classification service or
engine oil (SAE 10W-30 or 15W40) or equivalent class SG.
Return the oil dipstick to its original position.
CAUTION. Please take the used oil to a clean point. Do not throw it on
the ground.
Spark plug maintenance
Please use a suitable wrench to do the job.
- Remove the spark plug cap and the spark plug, clean the dirt around the spark plug hole (Fig. 13).
- Remove the spark plug with a spark plug wrench (Fig. 14).
- Check that the insulator is in good condition. If not, replace the spark plug. If there is carbon deposits, remove them from the electrodes with a wire brush (Fig. 15).
- Check the distance between the spark plug electrodes, it should be between 0.7-0.8 mm; if necessary adjust it (Fig. 16).
- Replace the spark plug and cap (Fig. 17). Recommended spark plug: F7TC .
NOTE: If using a new spark plug, give it an extra half turn of the nut
once the spark plug has compressed the washer. Only give it a quarter turn if
using a used spark plug.
CAUTION. The spark plug must be tightened properly, otherwise it may
damage the machine by overheating.
CAUTION. Please be careful when choosing the spark plug model. Please
choose the recommended spark plug or equivalent model and type.
Fuel filter maintenance
-
Turn the stopcock to the OFF position.
Demonstrate the filter housing and screen (Fig. 18). -
Clean the fuel filter housing and screen.
-
Mount the fuel filter housing and screen in its original position (Fig. 19).
WARNING. The battery contains sulfuric acid in liquid form which is
poisonous and corrosive. Tipping the generator with the battery in place can
cause sulfuric acid to spill.
Keep children away from the generator. Avoid getting acid in your eyes or on
your skin.
CAUTION. If you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time,
please disconnect the positive terminal of the battery and wrap it with
insulating tape.
START
Starting the unit
(Please refer to chapter 5 for relevant information).
Turn the power switch to the START position for 2-3 seconds.
CAUTION. If the unit does not start within 10 seconds, please release the
key for 10 seconds and repeat the above operation to avoid lack of power. If
the unit still does not start, please refer to the “Problems and Solutions”
section.
Stop the machine
In case of emergency turn the ignition key directly to the OFF position. In
normal conditions:
- Turn off the AC circuit breaker and unplug everything connected.
- Let the unit run for a few minutes without load to allow the generator to cool down.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Turn the fuel petcock to OFF.
Battery replacement
If your unit can start by hand, but cannot start electrically, please start
the generator manually and allow the battery to charge for 20 minutes. If the
generator still does not start electrically, please replace the battery as
follows:
- Disconnect the positive and negative cables from the battery.
- Remove the plate holding the battery.
- Install a new battery and the retaining plate again.
- Connect the cables to their corresponding positive and negative poles.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Turn off fuel switch and ignition switch to avoid fuel leakage during
transportation. Gasoline vapor and leakage can be easily ignited.
When storing the generator for a long period of time, do the following:
- Store it in a dry and clean place.
- Perform the maintenance according to the following table:

Remove the spark plug and pour into the cylinder one tablespoon of engine oil,
pull the hand starter gently to distribute the oil evenly

Change engine oil
** A gasoline stabilizer can extend the life of the gasoline in the tank.
What to do before storage
Perform the following steps if you are going to store the generator for a long
time.
**** DANGER. Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. Perform these steps in a well-ventilated area and with the generator turned off. It is forbidden to smoke, or to be near any incandescent element, sparks or flames.
- Change the engine oil (Fig. 20).
- Remove the spark plug and pour a tablespoon of engine oil into the cylinder, pull the hand starter gently to distribute the oil evenly.
- Pull the hand starter handle gently until you feel resistance, keep pulling until you overcome it. Once past this point, both the intake and exhaust valves of the engine will be closed and we prevent rust from building up on the engine block.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Failure to start the engine. The generator cannot be started.
- Check if the ignition key is in the ON position (Fig. 22).
- Check if the oil level is low.
- Check the amount of fuel in the tank.
- Remove the spark plug and check for spark.
- If after all these steps you cannot start the generator, contact your supplier.
Failure to Generate Power.
When the generator is running and not generating power check:
- The AC power switch is in the ON position (Fig. 23).
- If the problem persists after checking these points, contact your supplier.
