INTENDED USE
- This appliance is intended for preparing food in different ways. This appliance is intended to be used as a griddle and a raclette grill.
- Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
- This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Any use of the appliance other than described in this manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury, damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

General safety instructions
WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this user manual before you install or use the appliance. Keep this document for future reference.
- Do not use the appliance if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately.
- If the power cable is damaged, replace it with an original special cable or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
Safety instructions regarding installation
WARNING
- Remove and discard all packaging materials and potential stickers or labels (except for the type plate) before using the appliance for the first time.
- Do not drop the appliance and avoid bumping.
- Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface.
- Keep a minimum safety distance of 50 cm between the appliance and walls, curtains or other materials and objects and make sure that the air around the appliance can circulate freely.
- Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight.
- Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage. Do not operate the appliance with a multiway plug adapter.
- Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that switches on the device automatically.
- Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges to prevent the appliance from being pulled down. Make sure that neither the appliance nor the power cord or plug comes into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator, or that they come into contact with the appliance itself.
- Install the power cord so that nobody can trip over it. Keep clear of pointed objects.
- Never place the appliance in such a way that it is at risk of falling into water or coming into contact with water resp. other liquids (e.g. in or near a sink).
- Never reach for an appliance that has fallen into water or other liquids:
- Always wear dry rubber gloves to unplug the appliance before taking it out of the water.
- Do not start using the appliance again before having it checked for functionality and safety by Solis or a service center authorized by Solis.
- Do not place the appliance directly under a power outlet.
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before moving the appliance.
- Fully unwind the power cable before use.

- Children under the age of 8 years should not use the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play with the appliance.
- Keep the appliance and the power cord away from children and pets.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
- Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by Solis. Incorrect accessories or misuse can lead to damage to the appliance.
- Parts of the appliance may get hot during use. Only touch the control panel when using the appliance.
- Do not move the appliance when in use.
- Do not leave empty pans in the heating area. This could damage the pans. Place empty pans in the cooling area.
- Do not cover the air vents when the appliance is in use.
- Do not switch on the appliance when it is empty.
- Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
- We recommend that you do not use an extension cable with this appliance. Do not place the appliance directly underneath a power socket.
- Never carry the appliance by the power cord and do not place anything on the power cord. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the appliance from the power mains. Only pull on the plug.
- Any use of the appliance other than described in this manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury, damage to the appliance and void the warranty.
- Should you notice any unusual odors or sounds, switch the appliance off and disconnect the power plug. Do not start using it again before having its functionality and safety checked by Solis or a service Centre authorized by Solis.
Safety instructions regarding maintenance
WARNING
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before service and when replacing parts.
- Let the appliance cool down before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or place it in a dishwasher.
- Do not use abrasive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the appliance. This can damage the appliance.
- Do not make any adjustments to the appliance, cable, plug or accessories.
- Do not insert sharp or pointed objects into the openings of the appliance. This may damage the appliance or result in electric shock.
- Do not use a sharp object to remove residue on the pans or griddle. This could damage the non-stick coating.

BEFORE FIRST USE
-
Rinse the following parts with hot water:
- Two-sided grill plate 1
- Pans 7
- Mini-woks 8
- Dough cutter 9
- Spatulas q
-
Leave the parts to dry.
-
Install the appliance according to chapter Installation.
-
Turn the grill plate temperature control r to the maximum position.
-
Let the appliance heat up for 10 minutes.
When using the appliance for the first time, smoke can occur. This is normal, due to burnt manufacturing residue. -
Turn the grill plate temperature control r to 0.
-
Switch off the ON/OFF switch w to O to switch off the appliance.
-
Disconnect the appliance from the power source.
-
Let the appliance cool down.
-
Wipe both sides of the two-sided grill plate 1 with a slightly damp cloth.
INSTALLATION
-
Place the base plate 6 on a flat, stable, and heat and moisture resistant surface.
-
Place the appliance on the base plate 6.
-
Choose which side of the two-sided grill plate 1 you want to use.
The two-sided grill plate has two usable sides:- Classic grooved grill;
- Grill plate with round insets for preparing crêpes, or as a heater plate for the mini-woks.

Place the two-sided grill plate 1 on the appliance.
USING THE GRILL
- Rub the two-sided grill plate 1 with a paper towel soaked in cooking oil.
- Turn the grill plate temperature control r to 0.
- Plug the power cable 5 into the power port e.
- Plug the other end of the power cable 5 into a power outlet.
- Switch the ON/OFF switch w to | to switch on the appliance.
- Set the grill plate temperature control r to the desired temperature.
- Let the appliance heat up for 15 minutes.
- The grill plate temperature control r lights up red when the appliance is heating up.
- The grill plate temperature control r lights up green when the appliance has reached the set temperature.
- The grill plate temperature control r lights up red continuously when the griddle temperature control is turned to the maximum position.
The appliance is now ready for use.
USING THE PANS
- Place the pans 7 or the mini-woks 8 on the die-cast plate 3.
- Switch the lower heating element power switch t to | to switch on the lower heating element 4.
- The lower heating LED y lights up and the lower heating element 4 heats up
The temperature of the lower heating element 4 cannot be adjusted.
CLEANING AND CARE
We recommend cleaning the appliance after use.
To clean the appliance:

Switch off the lower heating element power switch t to O to switch off the lower heating element 4.
-
Switch off the ON/OFF switch w to O to switch off the appliance.
-
Turn the grill plate temperature control r to 0.
-
Disconnect the appliance from the power source.
-
Let the appliance cool down.
-
Fully disassemble the appliance.
-
Rinse the following parts with hot water:
-
Two-sided grill plate 1
-
Pans 7
-
Mini-woks 8
-
Dough cutter 9
-
Spatulas q
These parts can also be soaked in hot water to loosen persistent residue. -
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth.
-
Leave the parts to dry.
-
Reassemble the appliance.
-
Store the appliance in the original packaging in a dry and enclosed space.
