IGNITION AND USAGE MANUAL
The East Oak Pizza Oven comes equipped with a wood pellet burner. Only use wood pellets specifically designed for baking ingredients. Start baking when the fuel begins to turn into ashes.
ATTENTION
Always wear Heat Resistant Grilling Gloves throughout the operation to
prevent burns.
USAGE NOTES
- . Always wear heat-resistant gloves during usage.
- If the fuel burns out mid-process with a high flame, promptly add 1-2 scoops of fuel. Wait 1-2 minutes; residual heat will reignite the fuel.
- . Following successful ignition, 1 scoop of added fuel will burn for approximately 5 minutes, while 2 scoops last for 8-10 minutes.
- . During consecutive material additions, a large pile with a small flame or extinguishment might occur due to fuel accumulation. Use a stirring rod through the loading port to adjust the flame by pushing the piled fuel forward.
- . For optimal combustion and easy ignition, it’s advised to clean the ash before each use. The ash tray permits continuous burning for 8-10 hours; after this duration, cleaning becomes necessary. To clean: wait for the oven to completely cool down, remove the entire pellet pack, dispose of the ashes, and reinstall it for future use.
Ignite wood pellets with fire starters
-
Commence by using the feeding shovel to add 1.5-2 scoops of fuel.
-
(Pre-Ignition Phase) Evenly distribute the fire starters within the feeding 2 shovel and ignite all of them.
-
Carefully pour the ignited particles into the fuel chamber. Remove the feeding shovel and place it in a safe location to prevent any risk of 3 burns to individuals or objects.
-
(Preheating Phase) Post successful ignition, add 2-3 scoops of fuel and continue the preheating for 10-15 minutes with the door closed. No further fuel is needed during this phase as the existing chamber contents sustain a burn time of 15-20 minutes. Once preheating concludes, begin cooking pizza. For higher temperatures, extend closed-door preheating time and add 2 scoops of fuel every 10 minutes.
-
(Pizza Baking Phase) With preheating completed, the oven is ready for cooking. Open the door, position the pizza inside, and rotate it using a tray for uniform heating. If a substantial flame is present when the door is open, there’s no need for additional fuel. Wait for the flame to diminish before adding more fuel.
Ignite wood pellet directly
-
Start by using the feeding shovel to add 1 scoop of fuel into the fuel chamber.
-
(Pre-Ignition Phase) Load 0.5-0.8 scoop of fuel using the feeding shovel. Use the torch lighter to ignite the fuel within the shovel for at least 3 minutes, ensuring thorough ignition of all fuel in the shovel. Some particles should visibly burn through completely.
-
(Preheating Phase) Post successful ignition, add 2-3 scoops of fuel and continue the preheating for 10-15 minutes with the door closed.
-
(Ignition Phase) Verify the presence of a flame in the chamber from the front door position. The flame is getting stronger indicates successful ignition. At this stage, open the chimney cover and close the door to
ensure a thorough ignition of the fuel chamber. Allow 5-10 minutes before opening the door to observe the chamber. A bright, elongated flame covering over 70% of the fuel confirms successful ignition.
Ignite within the entire pellet pack
-
(Ash clearing and adding fuel) After clearing out the ash from the fuel chamber, fill it with wood pellet fuel (maximum capacity 800 grams). It’s recommended to add between 600-800 grams at once, filling it up to the front edge of the fuel chamber.
-
(Fuel chamber assembly) Securely lock the filled fuel chamber and pellet pack casing, ensuring proper assembly.
-
(Ignition phase) Use the torch lighter to ignite the pellets. Make sure the ignition is thorough, burning the pellets for at least 3 minutes to ensure the wood pellets are fully lit. You can also ignite fire starters mixed in with the pellets.
-
NOTE : Wear heat-resistant gloves throughout the process. Carefully move the pellet pack (including the casing and combustion chamber) to the installation position behind the pizza oven. Use one hand to support the bottom of the pack while using the other hand to tighten the screws securely.
- Once you’ve completed the above steps, check through the front door for visible flames inside the chamber. If visible, it confirms successful ignition. Open the chimney cover, close the door, and preheat for 10-15 minutes before cooking pizza. (Note: 600 grams of fuel can sustain visible flames for 15 minutes, while 800 grams can last for 20 minutes). After the previous preheating stage, if higher temperatures are needed, extend the preheating time with the door closed and add 2 scoops of fuel every 10 minutes.
FEATURES
- Enjoy a manual cooking turntable, so there is no need to remote food during the cooking process to flip.
- After preheating, 60-90s to finish cooking a piece of pizza.
