USER WARNINGS

Read all of the following instructions carefully before using the cooler

  • Keep the cooler away from open flames.
  • Keep the cooler away from chemicals, acids, and strong alkalis.
  • The cooler should be stored in a stable room temperature environment. If heat exposure is unavoidable, keep the cooler indoors for at least 24 hours before use.
  • The cooler may fade over time as it is exposed to ultraviolet light. This is a normal wear phenomenon and does not affect its performance.
  • When using the cooler, do not place the cooler directly on a hot surface, otherwise the bottom of the cooler may be melted.
  • Do not use dry ice.
  • Do not put the cooler in the dishwasher or washing machine.
  • Do not use boiling water to clean the cooler, as the boiling water may deform the inside of the cooler.
  • The cooler is suitable for storing prepackaged food and beverages. Avoid contact with hard and sharp objects on the inside and outside surfaces of the cooler, otherwise the surface will be easily scratched.
  • The bottom screw port is used for accessories, so stay tuned

COLD INSULATION

HOW TO USE YOUR COOLER

  1.  Pre-cool your cooler Store the cooler at room temperature and pre-cool it overnight with ice.

  2. Open the lid of your cooler

  3. Put in cubed ice
Place a flat layer of cubed ice at the bottom of the cooler and fill the gap with plain ice.

  4. Put in food and drink
Put in food and drink alternately with ice for each layer, and make sure to place cubed ice on the top of it.

  5.  Make sure to completely fill the cooler and close the lid

  6. Open only when necessary
Once packing the food and drink into the cooler, turn it on only when necessary to keep hot air out

Tip: Keep your cooler in the shade as much as possible.

MAXIMIZING TEMPERATURE RETENTION

For the best insulation, refer to each step below when using the cooler

  1. Pre-cool your food
Please refrigerate or freeze beverages or food in advance. If your foods are cold at first, the ice will last longer.

  2. Pre-cool your cooler
Before using the cooler, we recommend that you store your cooler in a cool place to pre-cool overnight, preferably with a bag of ice in it to reduce the heat trapped in the cooler.

  3. Recommended types of ice

    • You can use cubed ice from the fridge.
    • It is recommended not to use ice from the ice maker.
Crushed ice and ice made by an ice maker are not as dense as cubed ice in a freezer, so they are not as ef
  4. Use the right amount of ice
The amount of ice used is the most important factor in achieving long-lasting ice retention.

    • 100% ice content: 30 lbs. cubed ice keeps cold for 4.5 days.
    •  33% food and drink, 66% ice: 18-20 lbs. cubed ice, keeps cold for 3 days.
    •  50% food and drink, 50% ice: 14-15 lbs. cubed ice, keeps cold for 2.5 days.
  5. Keep the cooler away from direct sunlight
Coolers that are placed in the sun do not work as well as those that are placed in the shade.

  6. Do not drain cold water
Freshly melted ice can keep food and drinks cool. But food and meat that are not sealed need to be kept away from water

  7. Close the lid quickly after opening
During the use of the cooler the opening times shall be minimized, and the opening time shall be shortened as much as possible to avoid the excessive loss of cold storage in the cooler

WARM INSULATION

Food safety and bacterial growth need to be considered when you use the cooler to maintain high temperatures.

HOW TO USE YOUR COOLER

  1. Preheat your cooler with warm water
Fill the cooler with warm water from the tap and allow it to stand for 20-30 minutes. Then pour out the water and dry your cooler.
Tip: Do not use boiling water in the cooler, keep it at around 120 ºF (49 ºC).

  2. Open the lid of your cooler

  3. Wrap the inside of the cooler with aluminum foil

  4.  Use a towel or cardboard at the bottom of the cooler

  5.  Make sure to completely fill the cooler and close the lid
Tip: You can add a hot water bottle or hot compress bag when you put the packed food in. You can use towels, cardboard, or crumpled newspaper to fill any voids in the cooler.

  6. Open only when necessary

MAXIMIZING TEMPERATURE RETENTION

For the best insulation, refer to each step below when using the cooler.

  1. Preheat food

  2. I ncrease Thermal Mass
The addition of hot water bottles and similar items to the cooler will increase the overall thermal mass.

  3. Increase Insulation/Decrease Air Space
Use towels to fill voids or use cardboard to form a barrier to keep food hot for a longer time

  4. Reduce evaporation
Wrap food or put it in a container to prevent steam from escaping and keep it hot longer

FOOD & DRINK PACKING TIPS

  • Place raw meat, poultry, and seafood in separate coolers or securely wrap them at the bottom of the cooler so their fluids do not contaminate prepared foods or raw products.
  • Store food in a waterproof container to prevent it from coming into contact with melted ice water.
  • Arrange foods in “consumption order”—place the food eaten at last at the bottom, then layer upward, with the first and most frequent foods at the top. Use a sealed plastic container or a plastic bag with a zipper to keep food dry.
  • For long trips, it’s advisable to bring two coolers—one for immediate foods of the day, such as lunch or snacks, and the other for perishable foods to be eaten later.

CLEANING & CARE

  • Clean the inside and outside of the cooler. If there are stains, wipe the cooler with a damp towel or neutral soap. Do not use highly acidic, alkaline, or oxidizing detergents and disinfectants.
Tip: Be sure to scrub areas around the gaskets and drain plugs.

  • For a more thorough cleaning and to eliminate strong odors, remove the odor with diluted chlorine bleach and water.

  • Remove stubborn stains with baking soda and water.

  • Before and after use or before storage of the cooler, please dry the water inside and outside the cooler. Keep the inside and outside of the box clean to prevent mildew and odor.

  • The cooler should be stored in a dry, cool, and ventilated place to prevent direct sunlight for a long time, and kept away from other hightemperature heat sources to avoid consistent radiation and prevent the material from aggravating aging
