Product Usage
- Mounting the Telescope:
- Ensure you have a compatible equatorial mount, such as the EQ5 type.
- Attach the dovetail bar to the mount’s saddle plate by sliding it in and tightening the screws.
- Place the telescope rings on the dovetail bar and secure them tightly.
- Make sure the telescope is balanced properly on the mount.
- Focusing:
- Use the dual-speed focuser to adjust the focus of the telescope.
- For coarse adjustments, use the larger knob, and for fine adjustments, use the smaller knob.
- Rotate the knobs clockwise or counterclockwise to achieve the desired focus.
- Check the focus through an eyepiece or a camera connected to the telescope.
- Observing or Astrophotography:
- If used for visual observation, attach a 2 diagonal to the focuser before inserting an eyepiece.
- If used for astrophotography, attach a camera or a T-ring adapter to the focuser.
- Align your telescope with the desired object in the sky.
- Adjust the focus as necessary for clear viewing or imaging.
- Note: The Sky-Watcher EvoStar 72ED Guidescope does not come with a 2 diagonal or any eyepiece. These accessories need to be purchased separately for visual observation.
