Getting Ready for Use

Downloading the MOES App
The MOES App offers enhanced compatibility compared to the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App. It functions seamlessly with Siri for scene control, provides widgets, and offers scene recommendations as part of its brand-new, customized service. (Please note: While the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App still works, we highly recommend using the MOES App.).

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: Can the gateway/router control Zigbee devices through walls or

between upper and lower floors?

Controlling devices through walls is possible, but the effective distance depends on wall thickness and material. Controlling devices on different floors can be challenging, but you can enhance ZigBee communication range by using a ZigBee repeater.

Question 2: What should I do if the gateway/router's signal coverage is

poor?

Signal coverage is influenced by the gateway/router's placement and its distance from sub-devices. For larger spaces like flats, villas, or environments with poor coverage, consider deploying more than 2 gateways/routers or utilizing ZigBee repeaters.

Question 3: Can sub-devices connected to different gateways be linked?

Absolutely, not only can sub-devices be linked via the cloud, but local linkage between multiple gateways within the same LAN is also supported. Sub- device linkage remains efficient even when the network is down or experiencing cloud-related issues. (This assumes there is at least one high-performance gateway, such as a wired ZigBee gateway.)

Question 4: What should I do if sub-devices fail to connect to the gateway?

First, ensure that you've reset the sub-device to its configuration state. If connectivity issues persist, check for sufficient wireless signal strength. Ensure there are no metal walls or high-power electrical appliances causing interference between the gateway and its sub-devices. It's recommended to maintain a distance of less than 5 meters with no.obstructions between the gateway and sub devices
