INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE INSTALLATION
Installation of ‘A’ Pillar Brackets

Open the bonnet/grill of the truck. Open each side faring to access the bolt that holds each ‘A’ pillar cowling
-
Remove each cowling bolt. (Fig.1)
Pry off the plastic pillar cowling (held on by the 5 pins shown in Fig. 2) and remove pillar cowlings from the truck cab

See cowling image Fig.2. Identify the two pins and corresponding holes in the cab ‘A’ pillar

Drill the existing 2 holes in the ‘A’ pillar out to 9mm, using 9mm drill bit.

Apply rust preventative to the freshly drilled holes

Install and firmly set the supplied M6 Nutserts to the two holes on each side of the cab.

Remove and discard the two locating pins from the plastic cowling (Fig.2)

Drill through the plastic cowling with the pilot drill in the original pin positions

Drill the cowling out to the final 13mm hole size. De-bur any rough edges on the plastic

Refit the plastic cowlings to the truck cab ‘A’ pillars
-
Attach the stone guard to the ‘A’ pillars.(Fig. 3)
Assembly sequence:
- Spacer in the hole of the cowling
- Stoneguard
- M6 spring washer
- M6 x 30mm machine screw
Fasten securely !!
Installation of Front Support Bracket
Identify the ‘star’ bolt below the center of the windscreen shown in Fig.4.
Loosen 10mm but do not remove this bolt. This will allow better access to
install the support bracket.
- Offer the support bracket (Fig. 5) down in behind the plastic cowling above the bolt loosened in 11.
- Locate the M6 hole in the truck just behind the plastic.
- Fasten the support bracket with supplied M6 x 30mm stainless machine screw, washers and nylon nut.
- Fasten the support bracket to the stone guard
- Re-fasten the front ‘star’ bolt.
- Carefully open the bonnet and take note of the bonnet handles as they approach the stone guard. The handles should sit evenly between the recess cutouts in the stone guard rail.
- Adjust the stone guard by pulling to the left or right to ensure it sits evenly around the handles.
