PLEASE COMPLY WITH THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not leave your child unsupervised while the appliance is in use.
  • Check that the voltage of your electrical system is compatible with the appliance (see the values indicated below the appliance).
  • Only use the appliance for heating baby bottles and baby food jars. Any other use may be hazardous.
  • Never switch on the appliance before adding sufficient water.
  • Do not add any other substances (salt water, medicinal products, detergents) to the water as this could damage the appliance.
  • Do not use the bottle warmer under damp conditions and do not place it directly in water. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not leave the appliance near heat sources such as radiators, windows in direct sunlight, etc.
  • Use the bottle warmer on a completely flat and dry surface, out of the reach of children.
  • Do not use the bottle warmer outdoors.
  • Always use the baskets for heating baby bottles and baby food jars to avoid damaging the appliance.
  • Do not leave the baby bottle or baby food jar to heat up for too long, as this could encourage microbes to develop in the milk or food.
  • Bottles are very hot when they are removed from the bottle warmer. Remove them carefully.
  • Never move the appliance during use or if it contains hot water.
  • The appliance may become very hot during operation. Touch the switch only.
  • Allow the bottle warmer to cool for 15 minutes before using it again. Never touch the inside of the water tank whilst the appliance is in use or immediately after use
  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or filling it, and after each use.
  • Do not allow the power cable to trail over the edge of the table or worktop. Do not place it on a hot surface. Keep the power cable out of the reach of children.
  • For your safety, only use Babymoov accessories and spare parts and never dismantle the appliance.
  • Do not use your appliance if it stops working correctly or is damaged. If this happens, contact your Babymoov aftersales service.
  • Avoid spillage on the connector.
  • Heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
  • If you will not be using your NutriSmart for a while, empty it and rinse it out to prevent water from stagnating which may cause bacteria to develop.

For use in the car:

  • Never use the bottle warmer whilst the vehicle is moving. When using the bottle warmer, leave your vehicle engine running to avoid draining your battery.
  • The cigarette lighter adapter is especially designed for this bottle warmer: do not use it with other appliances. Regularly check your vehicle’s cigarette lighter.
  • Clean it if required. If you have just used your cigarette lighter, allow it to cool for five minutes in the open position before plugging in the bottle warmer.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

FOR USE AT HOME:

  • Electric power supply: 220/240 V – 50/60 Hz.
  • Wattage: 500 W.
  • Speed: 2 minutes 20 seconds for a 250 ml baby bottle.
    2 minutes for a 250 g baby food jar.

FOR USE IN THE CAR:

  • Electric power supply: 12 V DC.
  • Wattage: 100 W.
    Universal: for all types of baby bottles and baby food jars.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Maximum width of baby bottles: 80 mm.
  • Minimum heating time: 1 minute 20 seconds**
  • Energy consumption during operation: 500 W (home mode / 100 W (car mode)
  • Energy consumption on standby: < 0.5 W
    for heating a baby bottle containing 60ml of water at room temperature from 20 °C to 35 °C.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • All the NutriSmart programmes have been set using plastic baby bottles. If you use glass bottles, reduce the time by 20 % (e.g. for a 60ml bottles, reduce 1 min 25 seconds to 1 min 10 seconds).
    Warning: white marks may be visible as a result of the Quality Control checks. Wipe the product with a damp cloth before using for the first time (except the electric plug).

  • Never immerse the electric base in water.

  • If you make a mistake when programming your appliance, you cannot go back. Re-start the product (ON/OFF) or press OK for 5 seconds, then press one of the two arrows to go back to zero.

  1. STARTING THE NUTRISMART
    Turn on the NutriSmart by pressing the right or left button on the back  to activate:

    • HOME MODE
    • Do not use the car adaptor for the home.
    • Simply plug the product into the mains socket using the power cable.
    • CAR MODE
    • Stop the vehicle and let the engine running. To ensure the product works correctly, plug the car adapter (e) into the socket on the product (f) and then into your car’s cigarette lighter. Bain-marie heating is not recommended for the car as the heating time is very long.
    • Be sure to place the NutriSmart on a flat surface to avoid the contents spilling out.
  2. FILLING THE TANK
    Place warm water (around 20°C) into the tank according to the required heating method and the following graduation marks in the tank:

    • Steam (45 ml max)

    • Bain-marie (120 ml max)

    • Exception
      Baby food jars containing less than 120ml: fill to the level of the contents in the jar and disregard the graduation marks.

    • If there is not enough water, 5 beeps will sound. Fill the tank according to the required heating method and wait 10 mins.

    • Cancel the beeps by pressing the OK button.

    • Press OK again to restart the heating process.

    • Change the water every 24 hours to prevent the build-up of bacteria.

  3. HEATING BABY BOTTLES, CONTAINERS AND BREAST MILK POUCHES

    • Whether you are using the steam heating method (1) (baby bottles/baby food jars) or bain-marie method (2) (breast milk/
      defrosting), you will need to use the arrows (8) to specify:

    •  : the amount of milk/food in your container (60 / 90 / 120 / 180 or 250) (4).

    •  : the temperature of the container (5).

    •  = room temperature: 20 °C.

    •  = temperature having been refrigerated: 4 °C.

    •  = frozen temperature approx. -18 °C (available for bain-marie mode only).

    •  : heating time (this is pre-set according to the quantity and required temperature, but you can change it at any time) (3).

    • To move between steps and confirm, simply press OK (6).

    • To start the heating process once you have completed all the steps, press OK twice until you hear a beep (optional programmable start, see part 4).

    • The heating process is finished when you hear 3 beeps.

    • To restart the heating process, press the top arrow and select your new programme.

    •  : if you do not take any action within 1 hour after heating, the bottle warmer will automatically go into standby.

    • To deactivate the standby mode, press the OK button so that the bottle warmer turns back on and suggests the previously
      used heating time. Press the OK button once again, and the product will start heating up.
      Caution: the steam heating mode may cause splashes. Move away from the bottle warmer to avoid any risk of scalding. Also always check the temperature of the milk/food before serving it to your child. Wait 15 mins between each bottle or reduce your heating time.
      Note: if the quantity to be heated is not pre-programmed, we recommend choosing the lower quantity to avoid overheating.

  4. PROGRAMMABLE START (NOT AVAILABLE IN CAR MODE)

    • You can choose to delay the heating process (15 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins, 1hr, 2hrs… 12hrs).
    • Once the heating steps are complete, the programmable start button flashes (7).
    • Press the programmable start button (7).
    • Change the timer by pressing the arrows.
    • Press OK to confirm. The heating process will start at the selected time.

  5. KEEP WARM FUNCTION
    IMPORTANT: the KEEP WARM function operates in bain-marie mode only (and is not recommended for use in the car).

    • Activates automatically for 1 hour after the heating process is finished.
    • Press the OK button to pause the keep warm function.
    • Press the OK button once again to restart the keep warm function (keeps the temperature at 37°C).
    • Once the keep warm period is finished, the bottle warmer will automatically go into standby.
    • To deactivate the standby mode, press the OK button so that the bottle warmer turns back on and suggests the previously used heating time.
      Press the OK button once again, and the product will start heating up.

CARE GUIDE

Cleaning the bottle warmer:

  • Wait until the bottle warmer is cold before cleaning it.
  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water and do not fill completely with water.
  • Do not use detergent to clean the appliance.
  • Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the inside and outside.
  • The adapter ring, measuring cup and basket for baby food jars are all dishwasher-safe.

Descaling:

  • Do not use descaling products.
  • After repeated use, and depending on the amount of water used, a layer of limescale may build up inside the tank.
  • Descale the tank regularly to ensure the appliance works correctly. Note that the low water level indicator (9) lights up when the appliance needs descaling.
  • Descale the appliance as follows: mix 100 ml of hot water with 100 ml of white vinegar and pour the solution into the tank.
    Leave for 30 minutes and empty the appliance. Clean with a damp cloth.
