Mesh Smart Plug
Works exclusively with Alexa (Alexa Echo Required)
Step 1: Plug in Smart Plug
Plug your smart plug into a power outlet.
Step 2: Put it in the pairing mode
- Pairing mode: Blue LED blinking
- If not, press and hold the button for 8 seconds to reset the plug to pairing mode.
Step 3: Voice Pairing
Say to the Echo:
“ Alexa, discover device.”
(No APP is required in this process.)
Step 4: Voice Control your device
Alexa, turn on/off the plug.
Alexa, turn on/off the plug at 4:15 pm.
Alexa, turn on/off the plug after 3 mins.
Alexa, turn on the plug at 5 pm everyday.
Alexa, rename the plug to “apple”.
App Remote Control
- After setup, the plug status will appear in the Alexa App.
- You can control lights, fans and appliances with your voice and in the Alexa App — remote control, group control, schedule, timer, rename and other functions.

Troubleshooting
Question 1: Echo Can’t Discover Your Smart Plug
- Make sure that your Echo is working.
- Check that your paired plug is within 30 ft (9 m) of your Alexa Echo.
- Set the plugs one by one, do not pair multiple plugs at the same time.
- Reset your Smart Plug: press and hold the button on the side of the plug for 8 seconds. Then set up smart plug again.
Question 2: What can I do if the smart plug doesn’t work?
- Refresh the page in the app that shows the plug.
- Restart your plug first to see if it resolves the problem. To restart, unplug the device from the outlet and plug it back in.
- Restart your Alexa Echo. To restart, unplug Echo and plug it in again.
- Reset your Smart Plug: press and hold the button on the side of the plug for 8 seconds. Then set up smart plug again.

- Network connection requires Echo, including: Echo (2nd Gen and newer), Echo Dot (2nd Gen and newer), Echo Plus, Echo Show, Echo Studio, and more.
- Only the 1st Gen Echo and 1st Echo Dot are not supported.
- Smart Plug doesn’t support additional apps or other voice assistants, and it isn’t compatible with Smart Life, HomeKit, Google Home and SmartThings.
- Does not support Wi-Fi networks without Echo.
