WIRING RECOMMENDATIONS

Amplifier output modes: Single Ended vs Bridge Tied Load

  • The ISR Fusion 20 offers 16ch of amplification with 150W (8ohm) in Single-Ended (SE) mode and 500W (8ohm) in Bridge Tied Load (BTL).
  • The latter mode offers more power at the cost of reducing the number of channels available, as using two SE channels per BTL output. Up to three BTL channels (1/2, 5/6, and 9/10) can be defined during the Speaker’s layout configuration in section 5.
Single-ended mode and Bridge Tied Load require different wiring schemes. Please refer to the below illustrations to correctly wire your system. Channels 1/2 are shown, but it applies to 5/6 and 9/10 too.

XLR pinout

  • To connect the ISR to an amplifier or a subwoofer, you must use male-to-female XLR cables. The connector in the ISR is a Male XLR. We recommend up to 3m cables.

XLR to RCA unbalancing cable

  • The 2x ports can be used to provide a 5V power supply in the limit of 500mA maximum total consumption for the two ports. It should not be used though for HDMI dongle power supply usage.
