IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken including the following:
- Read all instructions carefully before using this appliance.
- Use fan only for purposes described in the instruction manual.
- This fan is not intended for continuous operation or equivalent.
- To protect against electrical shock do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids and plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
- Not intended for use by children
- Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. 8. Avoid contact with moving parts.
- Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- To avoid fire hazard, never place the cord under rugs or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance.

- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high traffic areas.
- Do not use outdoors.
- To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank on cord.
- Always use on a dry, level surface.
- Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all parts properly rly in in place.
- This product is is intended for household use o only and of not for commercial or industrial applications.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons, do not use replacement parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer (e.g. parts made at home using a 3D Printer)
- For models with overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as as per per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for for proper f roper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or contact customer service.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.
PARTS AND ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (SEE FIGURE 1)
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK
PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE THIS FAN.
Tools required: Phillips head screw driver (not included) Estimated assembly
time: 5-10 minutes
- To assemble the base, place Cross Base section (T) into the center notch of Cross Base section (U).
- Remove the 4 Outer Pole Screws (S) located on the Cross Base Sections (T) and (U).
- Place Outer Pole (Q) overtop of the assembled Cross Base. Align the screw holes of the Outer Pole (Q) to the Cross Base.
- Use the provided Outer Pole Screws (S) to attach the Outer Pole (Q) to the assembled Cross Base with a Phillips head screw driver.
- Unscrew the Height Adjustment Collar (P).
- Place Base Cover (R) on top of Outer Pole (Q) and slide overtop of the assembled Cross Base.
- Screw back on the Height Adjustment Collar (P) to the Outer Pole (Q).
- Line up the 2 holes of the Rear Grill (H) with the posts on the Motor Housing (L) assembly. When prop- erly aligned, the handle (1) of the rear grill should be in the 12 o’clock position.
- Secure Rear Grill (H) to Motor Housing (L) with Rear Grill Mounting Nut (G). Turn clockwise to tighten.
- Slide Blade (F) over Motor Shaft (J).
- Secure fan blade to motor shaft with the Blade Cap (E) (Blade located in bag). Turn counterclockwise to tighten.
- Remove the nut from the Grill Locking Screw (C).
- Open the expandable Grill Clips (D) located around the perimeter of the Front Grill (B).
- Align the hole located at the bottom of the Rear Grill (H) with the hole at the bottom of the Front Grill (B).
- Close all the Grill Clips (D) around the perimeter of the grill.
- Insert the Grill Locking Screw (C) into the hole at the bottom of the grill. Secure in place by tightening the nut over the back of the screw.

FEATURES – OPERATIONS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Set fan base on a dry, level, stable surface.
- Plug cord into any standard 120 volt AC outlet.
- The speed is adjusted by pressing the speed control buttons to the desired setting:
- High
- Medium
- Low OFF
- To start oscillation, press the Oscillation Knob (K) down. To stop oscillation, pull Oscillation Knob (K) up.
TILT ADJUSTMENT
Gently move the fan head up or down manually to the desired angle. An audible click will confirm each angle adjustment.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
- Turn the Height Adjustment Collar (P) counterclockwise to loosen pole.
- Adjust the Extension Pole (O) to the desired height, and firmly tighten the height adjustment collar in a clockwise direction.
USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to safely and correctly care for this fan.
REPLACEABLE FUSE
If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, please visit our website at www.getholmesfans.com for information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.

Unplug the fan. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device.
NOTE: Do not unplug by pulling on cord. -
Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover towards the prongs. NOTE: Ensure the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove fuse.

Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry it from the compartment at the metal ends of the fuse. **(See Figure 2)

- Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 2.5 Figure 2 Fuse cover e Fuse Metal ends Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse compartment. Use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment.
CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
CLEANING / MAINTENANCE
FAN CLEANING
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Do not allow water to drip on or into fan housing.
- Use only a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
- Do not use harsh chemicals such as gasoline, thinner or benzene as a cleaner.
FAN BLADE CLEANING
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Remove the front grill by opening the lips located around the perimeter.
- Clean the fan blade, front and rear grills with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
- Securely fasten the front grill to the rear grill by closing the clips over the perimeter.
FAN HEAD, BASE, AND POLE CLEANING
Unplug the fan, then, using a soft, moist cloth (with or without a mild soap
solution), carefully clean the fan base, pole and head.
Use CAUTION around the housing area. Do not allow the motor or other
electrical components to be exposed to water.
FAN STORAGE
This fan can be stored either partially disassembled or assembled.
- Store the fan in a clean, dry location between seasons or when not in use for an extended period of time.
Keep the fan protected from dirt and dust during storage.
NOTE: This fan can also be used during the cold winter season to circulate warm air throughout your home.
