Product Description
The Smart Dimmer Switch is a wireless device that allows you to control and dim your lights remotely. It features voice control capabilities and can be shared with other devices. The switch has a mechanical power-on button and supports various types of bulbs, including LED dimmable (up to 220W), CFL dimmable (up to 20W), and incandescent (up to 300W).

Installing the Smart Touch Dimmer Switch

1. Remove the front panel.
2. Connect the wires.
3. Screw the dimmer into the back box.
4. Mount the front panel to complete the installation.

Installing the Smart Rotary Dimmer Switch

1. Pull out the knob.
2. Remove nuts and gaskets.
3. Remove the panel.
4. Connect the wires.
5. Screw the dimmer into the back box.
6. Mount the switch cover to complete the installation.

Wiring
Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power using the circuit breaker and check with a voltage tester pen to ensure the power is completely off. Follow the provided wiring instructions carefully, connecting the dimmer wires to their respective leads. Once the wiring is done, securely screw the dimmer into the back box and install the switch cover panel. Finally, restore power by reconnecting the circuit breaker. Please note that wire colors may vary, so it’s recommended to seek assistance from a qualified individual if needed.

1. Upon successfully connecting the power, the White LED located at the bottom of the dimmer will illuminate, indicating that the dimmer switch is operational and ready for use.
2. Press the on/off button to activate or deactivate the light.
3. While the light is on, users can slide their fingers across the control panel to adjust the brightness. Simultaneously, the status indicator on the panel will reflect these changes in real-time.

1. After connecting the power correctly and switching on the circuit breaker, observe the illumination of the green LED on the dimmer, indicating that the dimmer switch is now operational.

3. Adjust the brightness by rotating the knob: turn it counterclockwise to decrease brightness and clockwise to increase brightness.

Wiring

1. Turn off the power using the circuit breaker.
2. Use a voltage tester pen to check the Line and ensure the power is completely off to avoid any risk of electric shock.
3. Follow the provided wiring instructions meticulously, connecting the dimmer wires to their respective leads and carefully inspecting for any potential short circuits.
4. Securely screw the dimmer into the back box.
5. Install the switch cover panel.
6. Restore power by reconnecting the circuit breaker.

Note:
Exercise caution during installation to avoid damaging the circuit board and components. Wire colors may vary from the manual’s instructions; therefore, it’s recommended to seek assistance from a qualified individual to complete the installation process.

Smart Touch Dimmer Switch

AP Setup Mode

The AP setting mode is primarily used in scenarios with a challenging network environment, such as multiple network interferences or low signal quality.

1. To access the AP setup mode while in the smart setting mode, observe the rapid flashing of the Wi-Fi indicator. Press and hold the switch for 5 seconds to enter the AP setup mode, indicated by a slow flash of the LED.
2. Launch the MOES APP and locate the Wi-Fi SSID “Smartlife-XXXX”. Connect your device to this network and wait for the process to complete, which may take up to 2 minutes.
3. Upon completing the aforementioned steps, the device will automatically establish a connection with the router.

Resetting/Re-pairing the Product

Press and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds, then release. The indicator will flash, indicating that the dimmer has entered setup mode. Follow the setup instructions to complete the configuration and activate the smart functions.

Note:
For Zigbee and Bluetooth versions of the switch, a hub is required.

Getting Ready for Use

1. Downloading the MOES App
   The MOES App offers enhanced compatibility compared to the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App. It functions seamlessly with Siri for scene control, provides widgets, and offers scene recommendations as part of its brand-new, customized service. (Please note: While the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App still works, we highly recommend using the MOES App.)

2. Account Registration or Login:

   • Access the Register/Login interface: select “Register” to create an account by inputting your phone number for a verification code and setting a password. Opt for “Log in” if you already possess a MOES account.
   • Note: The switch exclusively operates on a 2.4 G network. If you’ve previously connected to a 5 G network, kindly disconnect from the 5 G network before connecting to the 2.4 G network.

Operating the App

1. Registration and Login: To begin, users must first register, using their mobile phone number for the registration process. Upon completion, utilize this username to log in to the app and proceed further. Support for direct login using some third-party accounts is available.
2. Adding Devices: After successful login, navigate to the main page and click the “+” icon located in the upper right corner to access the device addition interface. Select the “Switch” menu and click on the switch device icon.
3. Adding Devices: Ensure that the new dimmer’s power LED is flashing. Select the Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and then click OK.
4. Adding Devices: Allow the system to search for the device, establish a connection, and configure it. This process may take up to 3 minutes. Once the device is successfully configured, input your preferred name and select its location.

Note:

1. During setup mode, ensure that both the smartphone and the device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. The device must be added to your account before remote control is enabled.
3. Once the device is successfully accessed, other users can gain control of the product through the sharing function.

Troubleshooting

1. Unable to connect to the Wi-Fi router.
   • Ensure that there is a strong Wi-Fi signal at the dimmer’s location.
   • Note that metal surfaces or wall boards may obstruct the Wi-Fi signal.
   • Verify that the correct Wi-Fi password is entered.
   • The Dimmer only supports 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signals; it does not support 5 GHz signals.

Setting Up MOES Skill in Alexa App

• Complete the product’s network configuration in the App as guided.
  Note: Rename the device in the App to a recognizable name like “Alexa”; typically in English, for example, “bed light”.

• Configuring the Amazon Echo Device (If you’ve already configured your Amazon Echo, skip this step. The instructions below are based on the iOS client.)

  1. Ensure your Amazon Echo device is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the Alexa App on your phone and log in.
  3. Tap the menu in the upper left corner of the Home page, select “Settings,” and tap “Set Up A New Device” to configure the Amazon Echo.
  4. Choose your Amazon Echo device type and preferred language for connection.
  5. Press and hold the small dot on the device until the light turns yellow.
  6. Click “Continue” to connect to the hotspot, connect to the Amazon Echo hotspot, and return to the App page.
  7. Click “Continue” to search for and connect to your home Wi-Fi network.
  8. The Amazon Echo will take a few minutes to attempt a network connection.
  9. After a successful network connection, tap “Continue.” An introductory video will play. After the video ends, tap “Continue” to access the Alexa Home page.
  10. Your Amazon Echo’s configuration process is now complete.

• Key Step – Linking Skill

  1. Tap “Skills” in the Alexa App menu.
  2. Search for “App Name.” Tap “Enable” to activate the Skill.
  3. Enter the App account and password, then tap “Link Now” to link your App account and enable the Skill. Your smart home journey can now commence.

• Common Commands
  Control your device via voice commands. With Echo, you can control your smart device, such as your bedroom light, using the following commands:

  • “Alexa, turn on ”
  • “Alexa, turn off ”

Warranty Conditions

• Natural wear and aging of consumables or components during use (such as batteries, etc.).
• Exposure to adverse external influences, such as sunlight and other radiation or electromagnetic fields, fluid intrusion, object intrusion, mains overvoltage, electrostatic discharge voltage (including lightning), faulty supply or input voltage and inappropriate polarity of this voltage, chemical processes such as used power supplies, etc.
• If anyone has made modifications, modifications, alterations to the design, or adaptations to change or extend the functions of the product compared to the purchased design or use of non-original components.
