Checklist: Ensure to have the following items before beginning

1. A power drill
2. A ladder
3. Double-sided adhesive tape
4. Mounting screws and anchors
5. Thin sharp knife

Removal of a Smart Garage Door Opener

1. Unplug the Garage Door Opener and Garage Door Mechanism
2. Disconnect the wires from the Garage Door Opener to the push-button wall console terminals on the Garage Door Mechanism
3. Pull the power cord off the Garage Door Opener
4. While holding the Garage Door Opener in place, remove the screws
5. Pull the Garage Door Opener down
6. Remove Tilt Sensor located on the top panel of the Garage Door
7. Remove the sensor by using a thin, sharp knife to carefully cut through the tape to release

Repositioning of a Smart Garage Door Opener

1. Plug in the Smart Garage Door Opener power plug near the control panel

2. Plug the power cord into the power input jack on the Garage Door Opener

3. Log into Customer App

4. Click on the top left hand corner

5. Select Add Device

6. Select Other

7. Select Other Device Generic Z-Wave Device

8. Follow on screen instructions for set up

9. Trigger the garage door opener by pressing the button on the side

10. Attach the Tilt Sensor to the top panel of the garage door using double-sided adhesive tape

11. Install the Garage Door Opener to the ceiling of the garage
    a. Place it near the plug
    b. Mark the ceiling with a screwdriver or pencil and pre-drill the holes into the ceiling where you marked them with a 3/16” drill bit
    c. Tap anchors gently into pre-drilled holes with a hammer
    d. Mount the Garage Door Opener to the ceiling

12. Please note: Terminal Names vary:  PWC, WC, PB, Push Button, Red and White

13. Match the wires from the garage mechanism to the connectors with the same labels on the Garage Door Opener

14. Once wiring is complete, restore power to your Garage Door Mechanism and Opener

15. Complete the connection process by pressing the push-button door opener to open the door, ensure the garage door completely opens or completely closes

16. Use the Customer App to open and close the door.

17. The garage door opener will flash for five seconds before the door moves

Things to Note

1. In the event of open and close failure, one more attempt will be allowed
2. After two attempted fails, system will go into lockout mode
3. Use the push button wall console to activate the door during lockout mode
4. Once the system has initiated movement, another command cannot be initiated for 30 seconds
