Product Usage Instructions
Removal of a Smart Thermostat
- Gently remove the thermostat body from the wall by firmly pulling from the top center down and out.
- Take a picture of the exposed wires.
- Use needle nose pliers to remove one wire off at a time, ensuring to label it with the associated letter.
- Must have one W and one R wire.
- If a wire is not labeled, consult an HVAC specialist before proceeding.
- Once all wires are removed and labeled, remove the old thermostat.
Repositioning of Smart Thermostat
- Secure the baseplate for the new thermostat.
- Use the bubble level on the back plate as a guide.
- With a pencil, mark where the screws go.
- Use drywall anchors for added support.
- Connect labeled wires to the new Thermostat.
- Match the wire label to the corresponding terminal and insert.
- Give it a slight pull and it should lock into place.
- Take a picture of the inside wired labels, as you will need to reference this later when enrolling the thermostat.
- Install batteries in the thermostat.
- Attach the body of the thermostat onto the baseplate.
- Turn power back on to the thermostat.
Connecting the Smart Thermostat to the Customer App via Wi-Fi
- Log into the Customer App.
- Select the menu on the top left corner.
- Select “Add Device”.
- Select “Thermostat”.
- Select the specific thermostat model you have.
- Click “Begin Installation”.
- Click “Next”.
- Press and hold the down button on the Smart Thermostat until the radio icon flashes.
- Select the menu on the top left corner.
- Select “Thermostats”.
- Select “Setup”.
- Name your Thermostat (e.g., Thermostat).
- Follow the onscreen setup instructions.
- Select Gas/Oil or Electric.
- Select the wire lettering, referring to the picture taken prior.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Next”.
- Confirm settings and press “OK”.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Finish”.

- Select the menu on the top left corner
- Select [Add Device]
- Select [Thermostat]
- Select the Thermostat you have
- Click [Begin Installation]
- Click [Next]
- Press and hold the down button on the Smart Thermostat until the radio icon flashes
- Select the menu on the top left corner
- Select [Thermostats]
- Select [Setup]
- Name your Thermostat i.e. Thermostat
- Follow the onscreen setup instructions
- Select Gas/Oil or Electric
- Select the wire lettering, refer to the picture taken prior
- Click [Next]
- Click [Next]
- Confirm settings and press [OK]
- Click [Next]
- Click [Finish]
