Product Usage Instructions

Removal of a Smart Thermostat

  1. Gently remove the thermostat body from the wall by firmly pulling from the top center down and out.
  2. Take a picture of the exposed wires.
  3. Use needle nose pliers to remove one wire off at a time, ensuring to label it with the associated letter.
    • Must have one W and one R wire.
  4. If a wire is not labeled, consult an HVAC specialist before proceeding.
  5. Once all wires are removed and labeled, remove the old thermostat.

Repositioning of Smart Thermostat

  1. Secure the baseplate for the new thermostat.
    • Use the bubble level on the back plate as a guide.
    • With a pencil, mark where the screws go.
    • Use drywall anchors for added support.
  2. Connect labeled wires to the new Thermostat.
    • Match the wire label to the corresponding terminal and insert.
    • Give it a slight pull and it should lock into place.
    • Take a picture of the inside wired labels, as you will need to reference this later when enrolling the thermostat.
  3. Install batteries in the thermostat.
  4. Attach the body of the thermostat onto the baseplate.
  5. Turn power back on to the thermostat.

Connecting the Smart Thermostat to the Customer App via Wi-Fi

  1. Log into the Customer App.
  2. Select the menu on the top left corner.
  3. Select “Add Device”.
  4. Select “Thermostat”.
  5. Select the specific thermostat model you have.
  6. Click “Begin Installation”.
  7. Click “Next”.
  8. Press and hold the down button on the Smart Thermostat until the radio icon flashes.
  9. Select the menu on the top left corner.
  10. Select “Thermostats”.
  11. Select “Setup”.
  12. Name your Thermostat (e.g., Thermostat).
  13. Follow the onscreen setup instructions.
    • Select Gas/Oil or Electric.
    • Select the wire lettering, referring to the picture taken prior.
  14. Click “Next”.
  15. Click “Next”.
  16. Confirm settings and press “OK”.
  17. Click “Next”.
  18. Click “Finish”.

Removal of a Smart Thermostat

Connecting the Smart Thermostat to the Customer App via Wi-Fi

  1. Log into Customer App
  2. Select the menu on the top left corner
  3. Select [Add Device]
  4. Select [Thermostat]
  5. Select the Thermostat you have
  6. Click [Begin Installation]
  7. Click [Next]
  8. Press and hold the down button on the Smart Thermostat until the radio icon flashes
  9. Select the menu on the top left corner
  10. Select [Thermostats]
  11. Select [Setup]
  12. Name your Thermostat i.e. Thermostat
  13. Follow the onscreen setup instructions
    • Select Gas/Oil or Electric
    • Select the wire lettering, refer to the picture taken prior
  14. Click [Next]
  15. Click [Next]
  16. Confirm settings and press [OK]
  17. Click [Next]
  18. Click [Finish]
