Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Trim Plastic Air Dam
- Using a measuring tape, measure and mark the heavy lines shown in Figure 1 on the plastic air dam below the bumper. Using a Dremel type cutting tool, small hole saw, or a sharp knife, carefully trim along the marked lines to remove the excess plastic.
- The cutout shown is intended for use with the Warn roller fairlead.
Step 2: Remove Flexible Air Deflector
- Pry out the three plastic fasteners holding the flexible air deflector to the back of the bumper.
- Push the deflector up and out of the way.
Step 3: Trim Bumper and License Plate Bracket
- Look up through the cutout in the bumper and trim off the five tabs using a cutting tool.
- Drill two 1/4″ holes through the plastic portion of the bumper and license plate bracket.
- Reattach the license plate bracket to the bumper using the provided plastic drive rivets, as shown in Figure 2.
Step 4: Assemble Winch Carrier Plate
- Assemble the various parts onto the winch carrier plate according to the instructions in Figure 3.
Step 5: Mount Control Pack (if applicable)
- If your winch uses a separate black control pack, mount it to the winch as shown in Figures 4 & 5.
- Connect the electrical cables to the winch motor.
Step 6: Mount Winch onto Carrier Plate
- Mount the Warn winch onto the carrier plate.
Step 7: Install Winch and Reinstall Factory Tow Hooks
- Remove the factory tow hooks and fasteners as shown in Figure 6.
- Lift the entire unit up against the bottom of the frame.
- Reinstall the original hooks and fasteners.
Step 8: Secure Air Dam and Deflector
- Note that the lower lip of the air dam will pass under the winch carrier, as shown in Figure 7.
- Drill a 1/4″ hole in the plastic to match the bracket.
- Secure the bracket with the supplied plastic drive rivet.
- Secure the vehicle air deflector to the back of the winch carrier using the factory fasteners or replace with the supplied plastic drive rivets.
Step 9: Make Electrical Connections
- Follow the winch installation instructions to make the electrical connections to the vehicle battery.

For mounting applications that make remote control connection inconvenient,
Warn offers a Remote Control Extension for purchase. (Warn P/N 14867.)
For the fastest installation, review the steps before beginning, then perform
each step in the order listed. If vehicle does not have factory tow hooks,
Warn adapter kit 37174 is required.

Trim plastic air dam below bumper along the heavy lines shown in Figure 1. The measurements should be taken with a measuring tape laying down against the plastic. A Dremel type cutting tool, small hole saw and a sharp knife or Exacto blade are all useful tools for this job. (The cutout shown is intended for use with the Warn roller fairlead).

Pry out the 3 plastic fasteners holding the flexible air deflector to the back of the bumper. Push the deflector up out of the way.

Looking up through cutout in bumper, trim off (5) tabs and drill (2) 1/4“ holes through the plastic portion of bumper & license plate bracket. Reattach license plate bracket to bumper with plastic drive rivets provided, as shown in Figure2.

Assemble the various parts onto the winch carrier plate as shown in Figure 3. FIGURE 3

If the winch uses the separate black control pack, mount it to the winch as shown in Figures 4 & 5.
Connect the electrical cables to the winch motor.

Mount the Warn winch onto the carrier plate.

Remove the factory tow hooks and fasteners. Refer to Figure 6 and lift the entire unit up against the bottom of the frame, then reinstall the original hooks and fasteners.

Note in Figure 7 that the lower lip of the air dam will pass under the winch carrier. Drill 1/4” hole in the plastic to match the bracket. Secure with the supplied plastic drive rivet. Secure the vehicle air deflector to the back of the winch carrier using the factory fasteners or replace with the supplied plastic drive rivets. FIGURE 7

Make the electrical connections to the vehicle battery as described in the winch installation instructions.
