Panel Features (For PoE/5LAN/5G SKU) A WiFi Module: Installing the Wi-Fi
Module (2230) to the M.2 Key E Slot (Optional)
- Locate the WiFi Module slot on the motherboard.
- Carefully insert the WiFi Module into the slot at a 30-degree angle.
- Tighten the screw to secure the WiFi Module to the motherboard.
B 4G LTE / 5G Module: Installing the 4G LTE/5G Module (3042/3052/2280) to the M.2 Key B Slot (Optional)

Locate the 4G LTE/5G module slot on the motherboard.

Carefully insert the 4G LTE/5G
Module into the slot at a 30-degree angle. -
Tighten the screw to secure the 4G LTE/5G
Module to the motherboard.
C SO-DIMM Slots: Installing Memory Module
- Remove the membrane from the heatsinks. Then paste the heatsinks onto both sides of the module.
- Carefully insert the SO-DIMM memory modules into the slot at a 30-degree angle.
- Push down until the modules snap into place.
Note:
– The iEP-7020E Series requires DDR4 SO-DIMM (1.2V).
– For dual channel con guration, you always need to install identical (the
same brand, speed, size and chip-type) DDR4 SO-DIMM pairs.
D M.2 SSD: Installing the M.2 SSD Device (2280) to the M.2 Key M Slot
- Gently insert the M.2 module, along the guiding tabs, into the heatsink bracket.
- Remove the membrane from heatsink. Align the heatsink to the edge of the bracket and press down the heatsink into the bracket.
- Carefully insert the M.2 Module with heatstink into the slot at a 30-degree angle.
- Tighten the screw to secure the M.2 module and the heatsink to the motherboard.
E 2.5-inch Hard Drive : Installing 2.5” Storage Device (For Basic SKU)
- Remove four screws and four rubbers, and then remove the front cover.
- Attach the 2.5″ SSD to the HDD bracket and secure it with four screws. Then connect the SATA cable to the SSD.
- Connect SATA Cable and SATA power cable to their corresponding connectors.
- Secure the screws and rubbers and reinstall the front cover.
Note: The SSD Bracket is not provided. Please purchase it seperately if needed.
Installing the 4G/5G Module Heatsink (For 5LAN-5G / 5G-WIFI SKU)
- Take the thermal pad out of the accessory box.
- Remove the membranes on both sides and paste them onto the heatsink.
Positions of the iEP-7020E Series
The PoE/5LAN/5G SKU should be placed in vertical position only.

Installing a Nano SIM Card and Micro SD Card
- Release the screws on the iEP-7020E Series and remove the SIM/Micro SD Card slot cover.
- With the gold contacts facing front, carefully insert the SIM Card or the SD Card into the designated slot until it clicks.
- Place the cover back and secure it to the iEP-7020E Series with screws.
Installing Wall Mounting (Optional)
Attach the wall mounting brackets to the iEP-7020E Series and secure it with two screws. Then you can attach the iEP-7020E Series to the wall with four screws. Attach the wall mounting brackets to the Basic SKU and secure it with screws.![ASRock 7020E Series Iot Controller Brings Wired and Wireless

Installing DIN Rail (Optional)
- Attach the Din Rail Bracket to the iEP-7020E Series and secure it with screws.
- Then you can place the system to the Din Rail.
Installing VESA Bracket (Optional) (For Basic SKU)
- Attach the two screws to the base of the Basic SKU.
- Attach the VESA Bracket to the rear of a compatible display using the four screws. *Choose mounting holes depending on the mounting hole pattern of your LCD screen (75 mm × 75 mm or 100 mm × 100 mm).
- Mount the Basic SKU by sliding it into place.
Install Phoenix Connector and the Adapter (Optional)
- Insert white (+) cable of the adapter into the left port of the phoenix connector, and insert the black (-) cable into the middle port. Ensure the cables are inserted to the end.
- Tighten the left two screws from the top of the phoenix connector with a flathead screwdriver. Ensure the cables are inserted to the end and cannot be unplugged.
Warranty Term
– Warranty of host of iEP-7020E Series super microcomputer (casing excluded):
2 year
– Warranty of transformer (including the plug), remote control and wireless
module: 2 year
– Our warranty does not cover the casing of the product, the metal frame and
fastenings and screws, or packaging accessories.
– Data stored in the product may be lost as a result of the repair work or re-
formatting of the hard drive disk. We does not provide data recovery services
or data storage. Please back up your data regularly to protect the data and
avoid loss. For details of our warranty terms, please refer to the individual
warranty statement applicable to the district where your product was bought.
