Chapter 1 Introduction
ASRock AI QuickSet software tool can help users quickly download, install and set up artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and is very helpful in popularizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology, allowing enthusiasts to avoid the dilemma of complex installation and configuration.
Through a friendly user interface, ASRock AI QuickSet software tool guides users to download, configure and install various components of supported artificial intelligence (AI) applications, such as frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, specialized AI function libraries, and runtime libraries and other body components, etc. It also prompts the user for configuration-specific options, or automatically set the default configuration for artificial intelligence (AI) applications. These enable users to ensure that artificial intelligence (AI) applications operate optimally without delving into complex configuration settings.
Whether it is a professional user who is familiar with artificial intelligence (AI) applications or an ordinary user who does not have extensive technical knowledge, the ASRock AI QuickSet software tool is undoubtedly an excellent choice for quickly experiencing AI applications!

This documentation includes instructions on how to install and uninstall the AI QuickSet software on your Windows system, and how to launch the third-party AI applications as listed below:
- DirectML Shark
- Stable Diffusion web UI
- Whisper Desktop
Chapter 2 System Requirements
NOTE
- ASRock AI QuickSet software supports only the platforms that are equipped with ASRock AMD Radeon™ RX 7000 series graphics cards.
- Please perform a clean installation of Windows® 10/11 and then run the Windows Update to ensure it is up to date, as the status shown below.
3. You can find and download the latest driver of AMD Graphics here: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Chapter 3 Software Installation
- Download the compressed file “ASRock AI QuickSet” from ASRock website. Check if the version is preferred. Extract the installer files. Then double-click on the installer’s icon to start the installation.
2. When the Welcome page pops up, click “Next”.
3. Read the license agreement and select “I accept the agreement”. Click “Next”.
4. Select the folder where to install this software, and then click “Next”.
5. Select the AI application(s) you want to install, and then click “Next”.
6. Verify every task and item, and then click “Install” to start installation procedures.
7. The installation process may take about 5 minutes. Actual time spent may vary depending on your system configuration and network speed. Please wait patiently until it is done.
8. When installation process is complete, click “Finish” to exit the setup wizard.
9. After completing the installation, you can find the launchers for your installed AI applications at below location. Here we take Windows 11 as an example.
Chapter 4 Launching AI Applications
4.1 DirectML Shark
DirectML Shark is an AI model that can generate images from text prompts.
- Click on the “Launch DirectML Shark” icon.
2. Then the initialization window pops up. When you launch it for the first time, please wait for a few minutes for the application to configure itself.
3. Click “Allow” to continue.
4. When the “SHARK AI Studio” panel appears please do the following steps to
create images.
Step 1.
Click ▼ button to expand the “Models” drop-down menu.
Step 2.
Select “stabilityai/stable-diffusion-2-1” model in the drop-down list.
Step 3.
Then click the “Generate Image(s)” button, and it will start to download the
model checkpoint file and generate the image(s).
It may take a few minutes for the first time. Please wait patiently.
Important
Please note that the initialization window will remain on the screen when the
“SHARK AI Studio” panel appears.
Do not close the initialization window while you are using the DirectML Shark
application.
When you close the “SHARK AI Studio” panel, the initialization window will be
closed immediately as well.
5. You can also key in prompts in the “Prompt” and “Negative Prompt” columns
and customize settings in the “Advanced Options” column to generate more
unique images.
• Key in prompts
Enter positive and negative prompts to define the image(s) you would like to
generate. Use clear, concrete and specific prompts because the more specific
the prompt, the more likely it is that the AI will generate accurate image(s).
Prompt – Describe what should exist in the image(s)
Negative Prompt – Describe what should be avoided in the image(s)
• Customize settings
Click on the ◀ icon on “Advanced Options” to configure more settings.
4.2 Stable Diffusion web UI
Stable Difusion web UI is an AI model that can generate images from text
prompts.
1. Click on the “Launch Stable Diffusion web UI” icon.
2. Then the initialization window pops up. When you launch it for the first time, please wait for a few minutes for the application to configure itself.
3. Once the launching process is done, the “Stable Diffusion” window pops up automatically. Please do the following steps to create images.
Step 1.
Click ▼ button to expand the “Stable Diffusion checkpoint” drop-down menu.
For the first time running this application, please select “v1-5-pruned-
emaonly. safetensors” model in the drop-down list.
Step 2.
Choose “txt2img” tab and key in the prompt you prefer in the column.
Step 3.
Then click the “Generate” button, and it will start to download the model
checkpoint file and generate the image(s).
It may take a few minutes for the first time. Please wait patiently.
Important
Please note that the initialization window will remain on the screen when the
“Stable Diffusion” panel appears.
Do not close the initialization window while you are using the Stable
Diffusion application.
After you close the “Stable Diffusion” panel, please also close the
initialization window as well.
4.3 Whisper Desktop
Whisper Desktop is an automatic speech recognition system that can convert
spoken language into written text.
3. Click “OK” to start loading the model file.
4. When it’s completed, the “Transcribe Audio File” window pops up automatically.
5. Please do the following steps to convert spoken language into written text.
Chapter 5 Software Uninstallation
Please follow the steps below to remove the “AI QuickSet” software when it’s no longer needed. Here we take Windows 11 as an example.
7. Wait for the uninstall process to complete.
8. When the software has been uninstalled successfully, click “OK” to close the window.
Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
6.1 DirectML Shark
Initialization Failed
1. Visit https://developer.microsoft.com/zh-tw/microsoft-edge/webview2 to
download “Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime”.
2. When the download process is done, right-click on the “Microsoft Edge
WebView2 runtime” installer, and choose “Run as administrator” for
installation.
6.2 Other Problems
• If you encounter any other problems, please reboot your computer and install
the AI QuickSet software again.
