| The Voxter VT5 battery is a lithium ion battery pack. Lithium ion battery
packs can explode if exposed to fire. Do not disassemble the battery pack and
do not expose it to fire or heat (greater than 140 °F).

| Never position the voice client, battery, charger or power supply in close
proximity to heat sources (heating fans or similar equipment) and never expose
it to direct sunlight, excessice dust sources or shocks. Ensure that the
connection cables or power supply units do not pose a risk of tripping.
The maximum allowed ambient temperatures for the voice client with battery are
listed below.
Operating temperature: -10 °C to 50 °C/14 °F to 122 °F
Storage temperature: -20 °C to 50 °C/-4 °F to 122 °F
Intended Use
The Voxter VT5 Set (Voxter VT5/Voxter Elite Charger) voice client system is a
solution for the mobile acquisition and transfer of data. Do not use the
system in geographical areas where explosives may be used.
Observe all warning information regarding the use of wireless devices.
The supplied connection kit (see Point 1) is only intended for use with the
Voxter VT5 Set.
NOTE| This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses, and can emit radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause
interference with certain radio communications.

NOTE| This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is
subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause interference.
(2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may
cause undesired operation of the device.
NOTE| Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party
responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment.
Handling
Read all instructions first before using the Voxter VT5!
Do not drink any alcohol or take any drugs while using the Voxter VT5 and
follow the saftey instructions carefully!
Excessive sound pressure by (in-ear) headphones may cause hearing loss.
3.1 Prior to the initial Commissioning of the Voxter VT5
In order to ensure that the battery inserted into the device at the factory
is fully charged, insert the device into the supplied Voxter Elite Charger (if
included in the scope of delivery), also see Section 0. Using the supplied
power supply unit, connect the charger to the mains, also see Section 0.
The battery charging process has been completed when the LED is green.
You can now use the Voxter VT5.
You can see the battery charging process in Figure 2.
| Only original ACD power supply units and ACD-approved batteries may be used
for the operation of the Voxter VT5 and the Voxter Elite Charger. The
utilization of non-approved components can lead to the destruction of the
device. Do not use the ACD-approved components with a third-party device.
Remove the battery from the device if it is not used for an extended period of
time.

| The Voxter VT5 battery is a lithium ion battery pack. Lithium ion battery
packs can explode if exposed to fire. Do not disassemble the battery pack and
do not expose it to fire or heat (greater than 140 °F).
| Prior to each use, the voice client, battery, the charger and the connection
cables must be inspected for damages. Damaged parts must be replaced. Please
contact ACD in either case.
| Please consult a doctor or the manufacturer of the medical devices before
using the voice client and the associated components in the vicinity of
medical devices (e.g. pacemakers).
Voice Client
Red LED: The voice client is charging.
Green LED: The voice client is fully charged.
Orange LED: No voice client is inserted in the charger.
Please note that the voice client must be switched off in order to ensure a
correct display. When the voice client is switched on, the charge LED will
always be red, even when the battery is fully charged.
Spare Battery
Red LED: The spare battery is charging.
Green LED: The spare battery is fully charged.
Orange LED: No spare battery is inserted in the charger.
Do not leave the battery in the charger for an unnecessarily long time.
A protection equipment to prevent deep discharge is integrated in the battery.
This prevents deep discharge under normal operating conditions. Empty
batteries should be charged promptly to prevent further deep discharge due to
self-discharge.
The battery’s service life strongly depends on the individual usage profile.
As soon as the battery runtime decreases significantly, the battery should be
replaced.
Handling of the Device and Charger

| Do not use the voice client, battery and charger in explosive areas.
| Never position the voice client, battery, charger or power supply in close
proximity to heat sources (heating fans or similar equipment) and never expose
it to direct sunlight, excessice dust sources or shocks.
| In order to prevent excessive heat, the voice client, battery as well as the
charger and the power pack must not be covered while in use.
| Make sure there is no risk of stumbling over connection cables or power
packs.
| The device may only be opened by a qualified expert. Opening the battery is
prohibited.
4.1.1 Power Supply Unit for the Voxter Elite Charger
The Voxter VT5 and the spare battery may only be charged in the Voxter Elite
Charger with the respective power supply unit.

Unintended use of the interfaces should be avoided.
4.1.2 Inserting the Battery into the Voxter VT5
The battery compartment is located on the front of the device. To remove the
battery, press down on the latch of the battery. The battery can removed
without much force. Remove the battery by removing it from the side. To insert
the battery, insert it laterally using the guide until it clicks into place.
If metal chips or other conductive parts get into the battery compartment, switch off the voice client immediately and clean it.

| Place the charger correctly on a smooth and clean underground, which is not
exposed to direct sunlight.

| The charging and communication contacts are very sensitive! The voice client
and the spare battery may only be inserted into and
removed from the charger as described above. Do not touch the contacts with
your fingers or any objects such as ballpoint pens,
screwdrivers, etc.

If metal chips or other conductive parts get into the Voxter Supply Adapter compartment, switch off the voice client immediately and clean it.

4.1.6 Switching on the Voxter VT5
To turn on the voice client please use the following key: “On/Off button”
(hold for approx. 2 seconds)
The status LED lights orange as soon as the Voice Client is switched on.
Once the boot sequence has been completed, the customer software assumes
control of the status LEDs
You can see the button, you have to press to switch on the device as shown in
Figure .
4.1.7 Switching off the Voxter VT5
To switch off the voice client please use the following button:
“On/Off button” (hold for approx. 5 seconds)
The status LED goes out as soon as the voice client is switched off.
4.1.8 Status of the Voxter Elite Charger LEDs
The Voxter Elite Charger status LEDs are located on the top of the charger.
The first LED shows a red light if a Voxter VT5 is being charged. The LED
shows a green light once the Voxter VT5 is fully charged. The orange light
indicates that the charger is ready for use.
The second LED shows a red light if a spare battery is being charged. The LED
shows a green light once the spare battery is fully charged. The orange light
indicates that the charger is ready for use.
Unintended use of the interfaces should be avoided.
Cleaning and Maintenance Information
Turn off the device before starting any cleaning or maintenance process!
Do not use any corrosive chemicals, cleaning solutions or strong cleaning
agents in order to clean the voice client, battery and charger.
All components must be disposed of properly at the end of their technical
lifetime.
Clean the device when dirty and by placing it firmly onto a surface (e.g.
table). This ensures a secure hold and the device cannot slip out of your hand
during the cleaning process.
5.1 Charging and Communication Contacts
If transfer problems occur, clean the charging and communication contacts with
a soft, moist cloth.
When dealing with the Voxter Elite Charger, the power plug must be
disconnected beforehand.

These Representations and Warranties are applicable to all customers (the
“Customers” and each, individually, a “Customer”) purchasing products (the
“Products”) manufactured by ACD Elektronik GmbH (the “Company”).

Warranty and Limitations:
1.1. Company warrants solely to the original purchaser of the Products that for the Warranty Period (as defined below), the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, and will conform to Company’s published specifications of the Products. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Company retains its right to deviate from its published specifications due to the latest innovations and improvements in function and design of the Products.
1.2. The foregoing warranty is subject to the proper storage, transportation and use of the Products, and does not include defects due to normal wear and tear or deterioration.
1.3. Customer shall immediately, but in any event no later than eight (8) days following delivery or installation of the Product, inspect the Products for conformity and visible defects. Customer shall give Company immediate written notice of any non- conformities or visible defects regarding the Products. In the event that Customer fails to provide the Company within eight (8) days following delivery or installation of the Products with notice of any non- conformities or visible defects, any warranty claims in this regard shall be deemed waived.
1.4. Customer shall immediately notify Company in writing of any other defects of the Products and return such defective Product. Company’s sole obligation under the foregoing warranty is, at Company’s option, to replace or exchange the defective Product or issue a merchandise credit for the defective Product.
Any replaced or exchanged Products shall be subject to the warranty set forth in 1.1., following their replacement or exchange. If Company has received notification from Customer, and no defects of the Product could be discovered, Customer shall bear the costs that Company incurred as a result of the notice.
It shall be in Company’s sole discretion to determine if the Product has a defect.
1.5. With respect to orders made to custom, any defects of the Products caused by Customer’s specifications are excluded from the warranty set forth in 1.1.
1.6. Company also makes no warranty that the Products manufactured under an order made to custom do not infringe the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of any third party and Customer is solely responsible for assuring that such Products do not so infringe.
1.7. The “Warranty Period” begins on the date of delivery of the Product to Customer, and continues to be in effect for two (2) years.
1.8. Company does not authorize any person or party to assume or create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the Products except as set forth herein.
1.9. All requests and notices under this Warranty shall be directed to:

1.10. THE WARRANTY SET FORTH IN SECTION 1.1 IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES (WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED), RIGHTS OR CONDITIONS, AND CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT EXCEPT FOR SUCH LIMITED WARRANTY, THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.” COMPANY SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THOSE WARRANTIES ARISING FROM A COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, A COURSE OF DEALING OR TRADE USAGE. -
Limitation of Liability:
2.1. COMPANY’S LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS. IT IS AGREED AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT ALLOCATE THE RISKS BETWEEN COMPANY AND CUSTOMER, THAT COMPANY’S PRICING REFLECTS THIS ALLOCATION OF RISK, AND BUT FOR THIS ALLOCATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, COMPANY WOULD NOT HAVE ENTERED INTO THIS AGREEMENT.
2.2. IN JURISDICTIONS THAT LIMIT THE SCOPE OF OR PRECLUDE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF REMEDIES OR DAMAGES, OR OF LIABILITY, SUCH AS LIABILITY FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OR DO NOT ALLOW IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO BE EXCLUDED, THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, DAMAGES OR LIABILITY SET FORTH ABOVE ARE INTENDED TO APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. CUSTOMER MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY BY STATE, COUNTRY OR OTHER JURISDICTION.
