PHOENIX Gravity Spirit Ceramic Filter Cartridge

Introduction

Spirit Cartridges con,e ready to be assembled into your Phoenix Gravity Water Filter.

Before you start: Cleanliness is key
Wash and dry hands before proceeding and ensure contamination does not take place while handling cartridges. Then remove all remaining packaging and the two washers and wing nut from thread of each Spirit Ceramic Filter Cartridge .PHOENIX-Gravity-Spirit-Ceramic-Filter-Cartridge-fig-1

Before drinking:

the first round of filtered water should be discarded. It will contain harmless ceramic dust from the manufacturing process.

Optimum flow rates:

it will take up to 48 hours for the Spirit Cartridge to reach maximum flow rate whist the Cartridge becomes fully saturated.

Maintenance

Clean the Cartridge V\/hen it has turned broV\/n and the filtration rate has become very slow. This can occur after 6 months of use and at regular intervals- typically every l week to 3 months depending on quality of the V\/ater inputted.

To Clean

Remove unfiltered water from upper chamber to make sure none spills into Lower Chamber. Then remove filters. Lightly scrub each filter under running cold water using a soft brush or scourer. Always bush away from threaded mount to ensure it doesn’t get contaminated.
Re-assemble the filters back into the Upper Chamber.
DO NOT use soap or detergents.

Assembling into Phoenix Gravity Water Filter System

  1. Push the first \Nasher along the thread of the Spirit ceramic filter cartridge.
  2. Push first \Nasher along the thread of the Spirit ceramic filter cartridge.
  3. Slide the second washer along the exposed thread, to the base. Securely screw on the wing nut to sit snugly against the washer. Important: Do not over-tighten Repeat for each cartridge.
  4. Important: To ensure proper water purification, make sure all cartridges have a washer attached between the base and the cartridges. Also all hole must have a washer on both the inside and outside of the upper chamber.
  • Lifespan : up to 6,000 litres per pair.
  • Replace every 12 months.
