DANGER: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF BURNS, ELECTRIC SHOCK, AND FIRE, THIS PRODUCT MUST BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
  2. DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING OR ON SOMEONE WHO IS SLEEPING.

  5. THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT TO BE USED ON OR BY CHILDREN. CLOSE SUPERVISION IS NECESSARY WHEN ANY APPLIANCE IS USED NEAR CHILDREN. CHILDREN SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH THE APPLIANCE.

  7. BURNS CAN OCCUR REGARDLESS OF THE CONTROL SETTING. CHECK THE SKIN UNDER THE PAD FREQUENTLY.
  8. DO NOT USE IN AN OXYGEN ATMOSPHERE.
  9. DO NOT USE PINS OR OTHER METALLIC MEANS TO FASTEN THIS PAD IN PLACE.
  10. DO NOT WRAP PAD TOO TIGHT AROUND THE BODY. THE PAD SHOULD BE SNUG, BUT SHOULD NOT CUT OFF CIRCULATION.
  11. DO NOT WRAP THE PAD AROUND OR NEAR THE NECK TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY.
  12. DO NOT SIT ON, AGAINST, OR CRUSH THE PAD – AVOID SHARP FOLDS. PLACE THE PAD ON TOP OF AND NOT UNDER THE PART OF THE BODY NEEDING HEAT.
  13. UNPLUG WHEN NOT IN USE. NEVER LEAVE APPLIANCE UNATTENDED, ESPECIALLY IF CHILDREN ARE PRESENT.
  14. NEVER PULL THIS PAD BY THE SUPPLY CORD. DO NOT USE THE CORD AS A HANDLE. DO NOT PINCH CORD.
  15. DO NOT TUCK IN, TRAP, FOLD, CROSS, PINCH, OR WRAP THE CONTROL OR CORD WITHIN HEATING PAD DURING USE.
  16. USE CAUTION WITH THE STRAP END TO PREVENT THE FASTENING TAB FROM DAMAGING CLOTHING OR OTHER PROPERTY.
  17. DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING OVER THE HEATING PAD WHILE IN USE OR PLUGGED IN, SUCH AS A TOWEL, BLANKET, CLOTHING, OR ANY OTHER INSULATING MATERIAL, AND NEVER ALLOW HEATING PAD TO WRAP AROUND ITSELF.
  18. CAREFULLY EXAMINE PAD, COVER, CORD, AND BATTERY UNIT/HEATING PAD CONTROLLER BEFORE EACH USE. DISCARD THE PAD IF ANY SIGN OF DETERIORATION, WEAR, OR DAMAGE. DO NOT TAMPER WITH THIS PAD IN ANY WAY. THERE ARE NO USER-SERVICABLE PARTS. IF PAD DOES NOT FUNCTION SATISFACTORILY, SEE WARRANTY FOR CUSTOMER CONTACT INFORMATION.
  19. LOOP THE CORD LOOSELY WHEN STORING, TIGHT WRAPPING MAY DAMAGE THE CORD AND INTERNAL PARTS. ALLOW TO COOL BEFORE STORING AND DO NOT CREASE THE PAD BY PLACING ITEMS ON TOP OF IT. STORE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING, IN COOL, DARK, DRY PLACE.
  20. USE ONLY THE PROVIDED BATTERY UNIT/HEATING PAD CONTROLLER AND PROVIDED POWER SUPPLY (SUNBEAM® CLASS 3S1P CHARGER) WITH THIS HEATING PAD.
  21. WHEN NOT IN USE, DISCONNECT THE HEATING PAD FROM THE BATTERY UNIT/HEATING PAD CONTROLLER BEFORE MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS, CHANGING ACCESSORIES, OR STORING. SUCH PREVENTATIVE SAFETY MEASURES REDUCE THE RISK OF STARTING THE APPLIANCE ACCIDENTALLY.
  22. DO NOT EXPOSE THE BATTERY UNIT/HEATING PAD CONTROLLER OR APPLIANCE TO FIRE OR EXCESSIVE TEMPERATURE. EXPOSURE TO FIRE OR TEMPERATURE ABOVE 266°F (130°C) MAY CAUSE EXPLOSION.
  23. DO NOT USE THIS PAD WITH LINIMENT, SALVE, OR OINTMENT PREPARATIONS. SKIN BURNS COULD RESULT.
  24. THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT INTENDED FOR MEDICAL USE IN HOSPITALS.

WHERE TO USE YOUR HEATING PAD

The benefits of heat have been clinically proven to soothe sore muscles, reduce stiffness, and promote healing. The GoHeat™ Cordless Heating Pad provides the freedom to treat pain anytime, anywhere. The adjustable strap can be used to easily secure the pad around any area of pain. It is ideal for use on the back, arms, legs, and shoulders.

HOW TO USE

Charge It

  1. Before first use, fully charge the battery unit/heating pad controller by connecting the charger cord to the charger port and plugging it into the AC wall jack.
    • Note: Charge in an ambient temperature between 41°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C).
  2. Battery light will flash green during charging (See table below for indicators).
  3. Once the battery light is solid green, the unit is fully charged. Charging may take up to 3 hours (using the standard charger) and up to 1 hour and 15 minutes (using the quick charger).

Select Heat Setting

  1. Use the power button to select heat settings by clicking consecutively to scroll through each setting. (See Figure 3 for button location)
  2. There are heat setting lights on the battery unit to indicate if the unit is set to low, medium, or high. (See Figure 4 for heat setting lights) Recommended treatment time is 20 minutes on high heat setting or 2 hours on low heat setting.

Apply Heating Pad

  1. Ensure the heating pad is connected to the battery unit by securely attaching the battery unit/connector to the pad connector before using it.
  2. Put the battery unit into the pocket, controller side up.
  3. Place the lighter-colored fabric side (Figure 1, number 1) flat against the body.
  4. Take the edge of the adjustable strap and High fasten directly to the darker, exterior side fabric, using the fastening tab (Figure 1, number 3) on the end of the strap. The fastening tab can attach to any part of the exterior side fabric. (See Figure 2 for the best way to wrap each body part)
    • NOTE: Be careful not to overlap the heated area of the pad.
  5. Once in place, tighten around the body by adjusting the strap using the slider for a comfortable and snug fit.
  6. To remove the pad, detach the fastening tab by pulling up on the end of the strap.
  7. Unwrap the pad from the body.

After Use

  1. Disconnect the pad cord from the battery unit by unplugging the cord at the bottom of the pocket.
  2. Place the charger on the lighter fabric side, roll the pad around the charger, wrap the strap around the pad, and secure it with the tab for neat and tidy storage.
  3. If needed, recharge the battery unit prior to the next use – only use the power supply that was provided with the unit.
  4. Store the battery unit and product in a cool, dry location between uses.

CAUTION:

  • DO NOT SIT ON, LEAN AGAINST, CRUSH OR FOLD THE PAD DURING USE.
  • DO NOT OVERLAP THE PAD.
  • DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING.
  • SEE ADDITIONAL WARNINGS IN THE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SECTION.

BATTERY UNIT:

  1. The battery can last up to 4 hours on a low heat setting and up to 1 hour on a high heat setting.
  2. The battery light indicator will turn red or green when the battery is either low, charging, or fully charged. (See Table 1 for the battery light colors per setting)
  3. Battery runtime will reduce over time. Battery life depends on usage and storage conditions.

Note: If using a quick charger, a pad can be used while charging.

HOW TO USE YOUR HEATING PAD WITH MOIST HEAT THERAPY

  1. In some cases, you may find that moist heat therapy provides more comfort and relief. When using moist heat therapy, you should protect furniture and clothing from becoming damp. 1. Dampen the lighter-colored fabric side (Figure 1, number 1) of the heating pad with water by patting the surface with a wet sponge or cloth, or using a spray bottle to apply a fine mist. Do not thoroughly soak the pad.
  2. Do not spray or dampen the pad connector or battery unit. (Figure 5)

DANGER: DO NOT IMMERSE THE PAD OR WIRING IN WATER OR PLACE UNDER RUNNING WATER. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN PRODUCT FAILURE AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY. THE ELECTRICAL PAD CONNECTOR MUST BE THOROUGHLY DRY BEFORE ESTABLISHING ELECTRICAL CONNECTION.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

DO NOT DRY CLEAN! DO NOT USE BLEACH! DO NOT USE WRINGER! DO NOT IRON!

  1. Disconnect the pad from the charger if using a quick charger while in use. DO NOT PULL BY THE CORD.
  2. Remove the battery unit/heating pad controller from the pocket and disconnect the pad cable from the unit.
  3. Set the battery unit aside. DO NOT WASH.
  4. Tuck the pad cable into the pocket to protect it during the wash cycle.
  5. Machine Wash pad in cold water in a gentle cycle or hand wash. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly from the dryer or drape to air dry.
  6. DO NOT plug in the pad connector to the battery unit until the pad and connector are completely dry.

LIMITED WARRANTY

  • Sunbeam Products, Inc. (“Sunbeam”) or if in Canada, Newell Brands Canada ULC (“NBC”) warrants that for a period of one (1) year from the date of initial retail purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship, when used in accordance with the instructions provided.
  • Sunbeam (or NBC), at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period.
  • Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, a replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.
  • This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of the initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam (or NBC) dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling Sunbeam (or NBC) products do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
  • This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair, or alteration by anyone other than Sunbeam (or NBC) or an authorized Sunbeam (or NBC) service center. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

What are the limits on Sunbeam’s (or NIC’s) Liability?

  • Sunbeam (or NBC) shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied, or statutory warranty or condition. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty. Sunbeam (or NBC) disclaims all other warranties, conditions, or representations, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Sunbeam (or NBC) shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against the purchaser by any other party. Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from province to province, state to state, or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
