The Taylor 3831 Digital Kitchen Scale is a precise and user-friendly appliance designed to enhance your culinary experiences. General Weighing Operation

  1. This scale operates on a CR2032 lithium battery (included). There is a strip under the Lithium battery cover to prevent battery drain in shipping. Remove the strip before continuing with these instructions.
  2. Place the scale on a hard, level surface.
  3. Press the “ON/TARE” button to turn the scale on. The display first shows “18:88.8.8”, then “0.0” when it is ready for use.
  4. Your scale is set at the factory to weigh in pounds/ounces. To switch to kilograms/grams, press the “UNIT” button.
  5. Place the item to be weighed onto the platform. The weight will display. As you add weight, the weight displayed increases.
  6. When the weight is removed, the display will return to zero. Tea scale will turn off automatically after 1 minute. Also, if there is no change in weight after 3 minutes, the scale will turn off automatically. Press and hold the “ON/TARE” button to turn the scale off manually.
