Product Information
The 5296651 Pivoting Display Thermometer is a digital thermometer with a pivoting display, designed for easy reading. It has a battery-powered electronic component that provides accurate temperature readings. The thermometer comes with a one-year limited warranty and is not dishwasher safe or waterproof.
Product Usage Instructions
- To turn on the thermometer, press the power button located on the front of the device.
- Insert the thermometer into the food or liquid you wish to measure.
- Wait for the temperature reading to stabilize. If no change in temperature is detected after 40 minutes, the thermometer will turn off automatically.
- If the readings become dim or irregular, it may be time to replace the battery.
- To replace the battery, slide the top of the battery compartment head and align the arrows to open position. Use a small to push the battery towards the open side, being careful not to damage any electronic components. Insert a new battery with the ‘+’ sign facing up. Replace the top of the battery compartment and slide aligning arrows to closed position.
- Do not immerse the thermometer in water or clean it in a dishwasher. Clean with warm, soapy water by wiping with a damp cloth.

HOW TO USE
- Immerse stem at least 1″ into food
- Display updates every 1 second with auto-shut off after 40 minutes of no temperature change
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If readings grow dim or irregular, replace the battery.
To replace the battery:
- Open the battery compartment by sliding the top of the compartment head, aligning the arrows to open position.
- Remove the battery from the metal holder by using a small tool to push the battery towards the open side, being careful not to damage the electronic components.
- Insert new battery with ‘+’ sign up.
- Replace the top of the battery compartment and slide aligning arrows to closed position.
- Turn the thermometer on to ensure the battery is functioning correctly.
USE & CARE
Do not immerse thermometer in water or clean in dishwasher. Clean with warm, soapy water by wiping with a damp cloth.
CAUTION:
- Do not touch stem with bare hands when hot.
- Batteries may pose a choking hazard. DO NOT let children handle batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the battery if the thermometer will not be used for a long period of time.
- Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.

Taylor warrants this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship (excluding batteries), and on return, will repair or replace it at our option, without charge.
