Operation
1.1 How should I look after CF301 properly?
- Use the headphones regularly to avoid over‐discharge that can harm the lifespan of the headphones' battery. We recommend using CF301 at least once a month. 2) Place the headphones into charging case for their recharging every time after using them. Leaving them out of charging case is apt to cause over‐discharge of headphones. 3) If you intend to store the charging case, it’s better to fully charge the case or at least charge it to 66% above level.
- Clean the charging pins on the headphones and charging case regularly for good contact. 5) Keep the ear tips clean. 6) Keep the microphone hole unobstructed. 7) If you use a hairdryer when headphones contact liquid, please make sure it’s 'cool' wind coming out.
1.2 How can I power the headphones on/off?
Power on: ‐When you get the new headphones for the 1 time using, please remove the protective film covering the charging connectors on the headphones, then place them back into the charging case to power on. ‐The headphones will turn on automatically when you open the charging case. Power off: ‐Put the headphones back into the charging case and close the lid, the headphones will turn off automatically. ‐When headphones have been outside the case and disconnected with your device for 5 minutes, they will turn off automatically. st
1.3 Can I manually turn on/off either side of the headphone?
Yes, you can manually turn on/off the individual headphone by ‐Long tapping 5 seconds to turn off the headphone, ‐Long tapping 2 seconds to turn on the headphone.
1.4 How do I avoid triggering the touchpad of headphones by accident when adjusting their position in my ears or when handling my hair?
‐Comparing to other headphones, CF301 brings less trouble in touch control because Play/Pause and Answer/Hang up are triggered by tapping twice, avoiding the problems by accident. ‐Avoid touching the touch‐control area on headphones is helpful.
1.5 Why is the touch control not responsive every time?
Please make sure you are tapping the right spot on CF301 (area between Audiovance Logo & earhook). Please make sure each tap is in the right spot within 1 second when you double or triple tap.
1.6 How can I activate voice assistants?
Triple tap the Right or Left headphone to activate voice assistants when using both headphones. When using a single headphone, triple tap that headphone to activate.
1.7 Can I use the left or right headphone in solo way?
Yes, you can take one headphone out from the charging case to use it. If you are using two headphones, you can place either one of the headphones back into the charging case and continue to use another one on its own.
1.8 Unable to receive or hang up a call?
Twice tap either side of the headphones to receive a call or hang up a call. Comparing to tap once or press several seconds, it can reduce the problem of hanging up a call by accident.
1.9 Can I adjust sound volume via headphones during listening music?
Yes. When you listen to music, tap once on L/R headphone is for lower/higher volume.
1.10 Can I select previous/next song via headphones?
Yes. When you listen to music, long press 2s above on L/R headphone is for previous/next song.
Bluetooth
2.1 How do I connect CF301 when I use it the first time?
Step 1: Please make sure you remove the protective film from the headphones when you get it from Audiovance or seller. Step 2: Put the headphones back into the charging case and close the lid to power on the headphones. Step 3: Open the lid of the charging case and the LEDs of headphones will flash white in sequence. (No need to take out your headphones)
2.2 What should I do if any of the following problems occur? (1) Cannot pair or reconnect with my device. (2) One side does not pair with the other side or my device. (3) No music plays after connecting with my device. (4) Only one headphone has sound.
2.3 What should I do if CF301 disconnects, the sound is choppy or has an audio drop issue?
Some environments (such as airports and subway station with crowded public, spaces nearby traffic lights etc.) can interfere with your Bluetooth connection. To optimize your Bluetooth connection: 1) Ensure that your phone is on your hand. 2) Download videos and songs instead of streaming. 3) If you have an Android phone, temporarily disable unnecessary app traffic settings on your phone. Or you can try: ‐ Putting the headphones back in the charging case and close it to re‐pair your headphones. ‐ Resetting the headphones. ‐ Try a different device if possible. Remark: Please note that this doesn't necessarily mean there is an issue with the headphones but may have something to do with the connected device and environment. Bluetooth signals can be influenced byobstructions, such as walls, pillars, home appliances, Wi‐Fi and so on. To ensure a stable connection, werecommend avoiding such obstructions.
2.4 How can I connect to a second device?
If you want to pair CF301 with a second device, please use one of the following methods: ‐Turn off Bluetooth on your current device so the headphones can enter pairing mode. Or ‐Please do Manual Power‐Off for both headphones simultaneously (Please see 1.3 for your reference). Then keep both headphones out of charging case and press their Touching Area simultaneously for 5s. When you see White/Red LED flash alternatively, Repairing is done. After Repairing, you can see Audiovance Opencomfy CF301 in the Bluetooth list of your second device for connecting.
2.5 How do I set up CF301 when I want to use them to make calls via a Windows computer?
2.6 How do I reset CF301?
- Delete “Audiovance OpenComfy CF301” from the Bluetooth list and turn off the Bluetooth of your phone. 2) Place the headphones into the charging case and leave the lid open. Press and hold the button on the case for 10 seconds until the LED indicator blink white 6 times and then turn off. This confirms that the reset was successful and your headphones have entered pairing mode.
- Put the headphones back into the case for charging, and the Reset is done.
2.7 Bluetooth related issue (cannot be paired / disconnected) when connected to a computer
- Fully charge and reset your headphones as stated below: Please see 2.6 about how to do Reset. 2) Upgrade your computer's Bluetooth driver to the latest version. 3) Re‐pair your headphones to your computer. 4) Test the headphones on your phone to see if they are working properly.
2.8 Can CF301 be paired with multiple devices simultaneously?
This feature is not supported currently. If you want to pair CF301 with a second device, please see 2.4.
Sound
3.1 Can I adjust sound volume via headphones during listening music?
Please see 1.9 for your reference.
3.2 Low volume when connected to a phone
- Make sure your headphones have enough power then reset them. Details of Reset can be seen in 2.6 for your reference. 2) Clear all the pairing records on your phone and re‐pair your headphones. Turn the volume down one notch on your phone. Then turn up the volume of both your phone and headphones with the music/video to be loud enough. 3) Use a Q‐tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol, gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.
3.3 Low volume when connected to a Mac computer
- Make sure your headphones have enough power then reset them. Details of Reset can be seen in 2.6 for your reference. 2) Clear all the pairing records on your Mac computer and re‐pair your headphones. Turn the volume down one notch on your Mac computer. Then turn up the volume of both your Mac computer and headphones with the music/video to be loud enough. 3) Use a Q‐tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol, gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.
3.4 Low volume when connected to a Windows computer
- Make sure your headphones have enough power then reset them. Make sure you choose the right mode (For audio/video, choose Stereo, and for mic choose Hands‐Free). Then turn up the volume of your computer, headphones and music/video to be loud enough. 3) Use a Q‐tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol, gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.
3.5 Setting the input and output on a Windows computer with CF301
3.6 The person wearing the headphones hears poor voice quality
- Make sure you have raised both the volume of the headphones and the device to be loud enough. 2) Make sure you're wearing the headphones in the correct position to create a tight seal. 3) Try switching to the phone mic and make a call to see whether the problem comes from the headphones or the caller on the other side.
3.7 The person on the other end of the call hears low and unclear voice
3.8 Poor sound quality
- Make sure you're wearing the headphones in the correct position. 2) Try different types of music and make sure the input audio source has no distortion or noise.
3.9 The volume of Siri is too loud
- Pair your headphones with your phone. 2) Turn down the volume when making a call. 3) Restart Siri, and the volume should be lower.
3.10 What audio codec does CF301 support?
SBC and AAC.

4.1 How to receive or hang up a call?
Please see 1.8 as your reference.
4.2 What should I do if I experience call issues? Such as no sound, voice is too quiet, cannot be clearly heard etc.
- Make sure you're wearing the headphones in the correct position. 2) Make sure your headphones are connected to your device and adjust the volume on your device until you can hear the voice clearly. 3) When using two headphones for calls, please make sure you’re wearing both of them properly or place them close to your mouth, because mics on both headphones should work in stereo mode. 4) If you want to use one headphone for calling, please place another headphone into charging case in solo mode. 5) If you make a call via an app, please check if the internet is good enough or if you have the correct settings on your device.

5.1 How long will it take to fully charge the headphones?

5.3 How can I charge the headphones?
- Confirm that the charging case which acting as a portable charger has power inside. Please open the lid of the charging case to check if there is any indication on the LED of case. If the case has low battery, please charge the case via Type‐C cable. 2) Put headphones into the charging case and make sure they are located properly. If the lid cannot be closed well, that means the contact is not good, please adjust headphones’ position in the case. 3) Close the lid and start charging.
5.4 What should I do if any of the following problems occur? (1) The headphones don’t recharge in the charging case. (2) The headphones stay connected to the device even after being placed in the charging case with the lid closed. (3) The headphones don't turn on when taken out of the charging case.
- Confirm that the charging case which working as a portable charger has power inside. Please open the lid of the charging case to check if there is any indication on the LED of case. 2) Clean the charging pins with a dry cloth and an alcohol‐based disinfectant to ensure all charging contact pins on the headphones and charging case are completely clean and dry of sweat and water. Then, put the headphones correctly into the case. 3) If the headphones cannot turn on automatically when taken out of the charging case, put them back into the charging case and close the lid for 10 seconds, and try again.
5.5 Charging protection mode
When CF301 encounters the following problems, LED will flash quickly to stop charging and enter protection mode. Please unplug the USB cable and place CF301 aside for at least half an hour then try again. 1. Short circuit, overvoltage, overcurrent or overheating. 2. Battery temperature is too high or too low.
5.6 Does the case support wireless charging?
No. It’s charged via Type‐C cable.
Others
6.1 Can I wear CF301 for swimming or showering due to its IPX5 waterproof?
No. CF301 cannot be used in swimming or showering. It is sweat resistant and can bear light rain.
6.2 Can I wear CF301 for running or workout?
Yes. CF301 is good for tough exercises such as running or workout. It provides secure and comfortable fit.
