Operation
How should I look after SP301 properly?
- Use the earbuds regularly to avoid over-discharge that can harm the lifespan of the earbuds’ battery. We recommend using SP301 at least once a month.
- Place the earbuds into charging case for their recharging every time after using them. Leaving them out of charging case is apt to cause over-discharge of earbuds.
- If you intend to store the charging case, it’s better to fully charge the case or at least charge it to 66% above level.
- Clean the charging pins on the earbuds and charging case regularly for good contact.
- Keep the ear tips clean.
- Keep the microphone hole unobstructed.
- If you use a hairdryer when earbuds contact liquid, please make sure it’s ‘cool’ wind coming out.
How can I power the earbuds on/off?
Power on:
- When you get the new earbuds for the 1st time using, please remove the protective film covering the charging connectors on the earbuds, then place them back into the charging case to power on.
- The earbuds will turn on automatically when you open the charging case.
Power off:
- Put the earbuds back into the charging case and close the lid, the earbuds will turn off automatically.
- When earbuds have been outside the case and disconnected with your device for 5 minutes, they will turn off automatically.
Can I manually turn on/off either side of the earbud?
Yes, you can manually turn on/off the individual earbud by
- Long tapping 5 seconds to turn off the earbud,
- Long tapping 2 seconds to turn on the earbud.
How do I avoid triggering the touchpad of earbuds by accident when adjusting their position in my ears or when handling my hair?
- Comparing to other earbuds, SP301 brings less trouble in touch control because Play/Pause and Answer/Hang up are triggered by tapping twice, avoiding the problems by accident.
- Avoid touching the area of Audiovance Logo on earbuds is helpful.
Why is the touch control not responsive every time?
- Please make sure you are tapping the right spot on SP301 (area along Audiovance Logo on earbuds).
- Please make sure each tap is in the right spot within 1 second when you double or triple tap.
How can I activate voice assistants?
Triple tap the Right or Left earbud to activate voice assistants when using
both earbuds. When using a single earbud, triple tap that earbud to activate.
Can I use the left or right earbud in solo way?
Yes, you can take one earbud out from the charging case to use it.
If you are using two earbuds, you can place either one of the earbuds back
into the charging case and continue to use another one on its own.
Unable to receive or hang up a call?
Twice tap either side of the earbuds to receive a call or hang up a call.
Comparing to tap once or press several seconds, it can reduce the problem of
hanging up a call by accident.
Can I adjust sound volume via earbuds during listening music or calling?
Yes. When you listen to music, tap once on L/R earbud is for lower/higher
volume. When you have a call, long press 2s above on L/R earbud is for
lower/higher volume.
Can I select previous/next song via earbuds?
Yes. When you listen to music, long press 2s above on L/R earbud is for
previous/next song.
Bluetooth
How do I connect SP301 when I use it the first time?
Step 1: Please make sure you remove the protective film from the earbuds
when you get it from Audiovance or seller.
Step 2: Put the earbuds back into the charging case and close the lid to
power on the earbuds.
Step 3: Open the lid of the charging case and the LEDs of earbuds will
flash white in sequence. (No need to take out your earbuds)
What should I do if any of the following problems occur? (1) Cannot pair or reconnect with my device.
One side does not pair with the other side or my device. (3) No music plays after connecting with my device. (4) Only one earbud has sound.

Remove the protective film covering the connectors of earbuds if you use them the 1st time.

Place the earbuds in the charging case and close the lid for 10 seconds. Then take them out and try pairing again. If that doesn’t work, please try the following:

Reboot the Bluetooth device, such as a phone or computer. Forget all the pairing records on your device and turn off Bluetooth.

Reset the earbuds as per the steps below (make sure your earbuds have enough battery.)
Please see 2.6 about how to do Reset. -
Turn on the Bluetooth of your device and search for Audiovance SP301 and pair.
If there is a pop-up window to confirm pairing for “Audiovance SP301” please select “pair.” If you accidentally select “cancel” you need to refresh (turn off and turn on) the Bluetooth of your device and pair the earbuds again.
What should I do if SP301 disconnects, the sound is choppy or has an audio
drop issue?
Some environments (such as airports and subway station with crowded public,
spaces nearby traffic lights etc.) can interfere with your Bluetooth
connection. To optimize your Bluetooth connection:
- Ensure that your phone is on your hand.
- Download videos and songs instead of streaming.
- If you have an Android phone, temporarily disable unnecessary app traffic settings on your phone. Or you can try:
- Putting the earbuds back in the charging case and close it to re-pair your earbuds.
- Resetting the earbuds.
- Try a different device if possible.
Remark: Please note that this doesn’t necessarily mean there is an issue with the earbuds but may have something to do with the connected device and environment. Bluetooth signals can be influenced by obstructions, such as walls, pillars, home appliances, Wi-Fi and so on. To ensure a stable connection, we recommend avoiding such obstructions.
How can I connect to a second device?
If you want to pair SP301 with a second device, please use one of the
following methods:
- Turn off Bluetooth on your current device so the earbuds can enter pairing mode. Or
- Please do Manual Power-Off for both earbuds simultaneously (Please see 1.3 for your reference). Then keep both earbuds out of charging case and press their Touching Area simultaneously for 5s. When you see White/Red LED flash alternatively, Repairing is done.
After Repairing, you can see Audiovance SP301 in the Bluetooth list of your second device for connecting.
How do I set up SP301 when I want to use them to make calls via a Windows computer?
- Set up both the microphone and speaker as “Hands-Free”. Note:
- If the microphone is set as “Hands-Free” and the speaker is set as “Stereo,” you will hear the person on the other end, but they cannot hear you.
- If the microphone is set as “Consistent with the System” and speaker is set as “Stereo,” the computer’s microphone will pick up your voice instead of SP301.
- To make a call, please choose “Hands-Free” mode. To listen music, please choose “Stereo” mode.
How do I reset SP301?
- Delete “Audiovance SP301” from the Bluetooth list and turn off the Bluetooth of your phone. Keep the earbuds in ON status and outside of the charging case.
- Triple tap L&R earbuds, and you can see white LED lights 3s.
- Put the earbuds back into the case for charging, and the Reset is done.
Bluetooth related issue (cannot be paired / disconnected) when connected to a computer

Upgrade your computer’s Bluetooth driver to the latest version.

Re-pair your earbuds to your computer.

Can SP301 be paired with multiple devices simultaneously.

Can I adjust sound volume via earbuds during listening music or calling?

Low volume when connected to a phone
- Make sure your earbuds have enough power then reset them. Details of Reset can be seen in 2.6 for your reference.
- Clear all the pairing records on your phone and re-pair your earbuds. Turn the volume down one notch on your phone. Then turn up the volume of both your phone and earbuds with the music/video to be loud enough.
- Use a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol, gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.
Low volume when connected to a Mac computer
- Make sure your earbuds have enough power then reset them. Details of Reset can be seen in 2.6 for your reference.
- Clear all the pairing records on your Mac computer and re-pair your earbuds. Turn the volume down one notch on your Mac computer. Then turn up the volume of both your Mac computer and earbuds with the music/video to be loud enough.
- Use a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol, gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.
Low volume when connected to a Windows computer
- Make sure your earbuds have enough power then reset them. Details of Reset can be seen in 2.6 for your reference.
- Clear all the pairing records on your Windows computer and re-pair your earbuds. Make sure you choose the right mode (For audio/video, choose Stereo, and for mic choose Hands-Free). Then turn up the volume of your computer, earbuds and music/video to be loud enough.
- Use a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol, gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.
Setting the input and output on a Windows computer with SP301

If you only want to listen to the audio on the computer, select “SP301 Stereo” for the computer audio.
If you need to adjust the volume, adjust both the software and the computer volume. -
If you need to use a conference app on your computer such as Zoom/Microsoft Teams, please set the input and output of the software as stated below:
- Microphone on the conference software: SP301 Hands-Free
- Speaker on the conference app: SP301 Hands-Free
If you need to adjust the volume, please do so on the app. If you cannot adjust the volume on the app, please select the SP301 Hands-Free as output on your computer and adjust the volume.

If you need to use an audio and video app on the computer and you cannot set the input and output on the app, please open the computer audio settings and choose the correct settings:

The person wearing the earbuds hears poor voice quality
- Make sure you have raised both the volume of the earbuds and the device to be loud enough.
- Make sure you’re wearing the earbuds in the correct position to create a tight seal.
- Try switching to the phone mic and make a call to see whether the problem comes from the earbuds or the caller on the other side.
The person on the other end of the call hears low and unclear voice
- If you only use one earbud, make sure the other bud is in the charging case.
- Please make sure the audio output device chosen is “Audiovance SP301” on the connected device and turn up the volume on your device.
- If you make a call via an app, please try using your phone to make a call instead to see whether the problem comes from earbuds or devices or app.
- Try testing your earbuds with a different Bluetooth device in a different environment to see if it makes any difference.
Poor sound quality
- Try different sizes of the ear tips that come with the earbuds and make sure you’re wearing the earbuds in the correct position so that they create a tight seal. This will enhance the sound quality and noise cancellation effect.
- Try different types of music and make sure the input audio source has no distortion or noise.
The volume of Siri is too loud
- Pair your earbuds with your phone.
- Turn down the volume when making a call.
- Restart Siri, and the volume should be lower.

Can I adjust sound volume while having a call?

What should I do if I experience call issues? Such as no sound, voice is too quiet, cannot be clearly heard etc.
- Make sure you’re wearing the earbuds in the correct position so that the mic is directed towards your mouth.
- Make sure your earbuds are connected to your device and adjust the volume on your device until you can hear the voice clearly.
- When using two earbuds for calls, please make sure you’re wearing both of them properly or place them close to your mouth, because mics on both earbuds should work in stereo mode.
- If you want to use one earbud for calling, please place another earbud into charging case in solo mode.
- If you make a call via an app, please check if the internet is good enough or if you have the correct settings on your device.

How long will it take to fully charge the earbuds?

How can I charge the earbuds?
- Confirm that the charging case which acting as a portable charger has power inside. Please open the lid of the charging case to check if there is any indication on the LED of case. If the case has low battery, please charge the case via Type-C cable or wireless charging pad simultaneously.
- Put earbuds into the charging case and make sure they are located properly. If the lid cannot be closed well, that means the contact is not good, please adjust earbuds’ position in the case.
- Close the lid and start charging.
What should I do if any of the following problems occur? (1) The earbuds don’t recharge in the charging case. (2) The earbuds stay connected to the device even after being placed in the charging case with the lid closed. (3) The earbuds don’t turn on when taken out of the charging case.
- Confirm that the charging case which working as a portable charger has power inside. Please open the lid of the charging case to check if there is any indication on the LED of case.
- Clean the charging pins with a dry cloth and an alcohol-based disinfectant to ensure all charging contact pins on the earbuds and charging case are completely clean and dry of sweat and water. Then, put the earbuds correctly into the case.
- If the earbuds cannot turn on automatically when taken out of the charging case, put them back into the charging case and close the lid for 10 seconds, and try again.
Charging protection mode
When SP301 encounters the following problems, LED will flash quickly to stop
charging and enter protection mode. Please unplug the USB cable and place
SP301 aside for at least half an hour then try again.
- Short circuit, overvoltage, overcurrent or overheating.
- Battery temperature is too high or too low.
Does the case support wireless charging?
No. It’s charged via Type-C cable.
Others
Can I wear SP301 for swimming or showering due to its IPX5 waterproof?
No. SP301 cannot be used in swimming or showering. It is sweat resistant and
can bear light rain.
Can I wear SP301 for running or workout?
Yes. SP301 is good for tough exercises such as running or workout. It provides
secure and comfortable fit.

mode. Doing the same way, the mode can be changed among
ANC/Transparency/Normal in sequence and circularly.

There are no differences between ANC, Transparency and Normal those 3 Noise Cancelling modes
- Try different sizes of the ear tips that come with the earbuds and make sure you’re wearing the earbuds in the correct position so that they create a tight seal. This will enhance the noise cancellation effect.
- The three noise cancelling modes are optimized according to different usage scenarios. Their difference may not be too obvious in a quiet environment:
- ANC mode: Suitable for noisy environments such as in airplanes, bus and metro.
- Normal mode: Suitable for a relatively quiet indoor environment with comfortable noise cancellation.
- Transparency mode: Reduce outdoor environmental noise considerably. Listening to music with earbuds and perceiving the environmental sounds at the same time.
The volume of Siri is too loud

No. ANC can only be activated while listening to music or when earbuds are in

Does the case support wireless charging?
Yes, place the case on a Qi wireless charging pad and make sure it’s closed
and centrally aligned. If it starts charging, you will see the LED of the case
blinking.
How long will it take to fully charge the earbuds?

How can I charge the earbuds?
- Confirm that the charging case which acting as a portable charger has power inside. Please open the lid of the charging case to check if there is any indication on the LED of case. If the case has low battery, please charge the case via Type-C cable or wireless charging pad simultaneously.
- Put earbuds into the charging case and make sure they are located properly. If the lid cannot be closed well, that means the contact is not good, please adjust earbuds’ position in the case.
- Close the lid and start charging.
What should I do if any of the following problems occur? (1) The earbuds don’t recharge in the charging case. (2) The earbuds stay connected to the device even after being placed in the charging case with the lid closed. (3) The earbuds don’t turn on when taken out of the charging case.

- Clean the charging pins with a dry cloth and an alcohol-based disinfectant to ensure all charging contact pins on the earbuds and charging case are completely clean and dry of sweat and water. Then, put the earbuds correctly into the case.
- If the earbuds cannot turn on automatically when taken out of the charging case, put them back into the charging case and close the lid for 10 seconds, and try again.
Charging protection mode
When IF501 encounters the following problems, LED will flash quickly to stop
charging and enter protection mode. Please unplug the USB cable and place
IF501 aside for at least half an hour then try again.
- Short circuit, overvoltage, overcurrent or overheating.
- Battery temperature is too high or too low.
Others
Can I wear IF501 for swimming or showering due to its IPX5 waterproof?
No. IF501 cannot be used in swimming or showering. It is sweat resistant and
can bear light rain.
Can I wear IF501 for running or workout?
Due to its secure-fit, IF501 is competent in most workout.
However, such in-ear earbuds with soft ear tips is not recommended for
running, because there will be annoying thumping noise, i.e., bone conduction
noise caused by eartips and ear canals.
