Audiovance OpenComfy CF202 Headphones Operation

  1. Use the headphones regularly to avoid over-discharging which can harm the lifespan of the headphones’ battery. We recommend using CF202 at least once a month.
  2. If you intend to store the headphones, it’s better to do a full charge or charge them to 66% or above.
  3. Clean the charging pins on both the headphones and magnetic charging cable regularly for good connectivity.

How do I connect CF202 when I use it for the first time?

  1. Power on CF202 Bluetooth headphones. They will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, and you’ll hear “Pairing”.
  2. In the Bluetooth list of your smartphone, choose “Audiovance OpenComfy 202” to connect, and you’ll hear “Connected”.

What should I do if any of the following problems occur?

  1. Cannot pair or reconnect with my device. Please see “How to Reset” in section 2.6.
  2. Upgrade your computer’s Bluetooth driver to the latest version.
  3. Repair your headphones to your computer.
  4. Test the headphones on your phone to see if they are working properly.

Can CF202 be paired with multiple devices simultaneously?

This feature is not supported currently. If you want to pair CF202 with a second device, please refer to section 2.4.

Sound

Can I adjust the sound volume via headphones while listening to music?

This function is not supported currently.

Low volume when connected to a phone

  1. Make sure your headphones have enough power, then reset them. Refer to section 2.6 for details on how to reset.
  2. Clear all the pairing records on your phone and re-pair your headphones. Turn the volume down one turn up the volume on your device.
  3. If you make a call via an app, try using your phone to make a call instead to see whether the problem comes from headphones devices or apps.
  4. Try testing your headphones with a different Bluetooth device in a different environment to see if it makes any difference.

Poor sound quality

  1. Make sure you’re wearing the headphones in the correct position to let speakers face ear canals. This will enhance the sound quality.
  2. Try different types of music and make sure the input audio source has no distortion or noise.

Power off:

  • Long tapping the button on the right headphone for 5 seconds to turn off the headphones manually.
  • Charge the headphones with a USBA magnetic charging cable, the headphones will turn off automatically.
  • When headphones have disconnected from your device for 5 minutes, they will turn off automatically. 1.3 How can I activate voice assistants?

  • Yes. When you listen to the music, tap the button on the right headphone 3 times for the previous song, and twice for the next song.

Bluetooth

How do I connect CF202 when I use it the first time?

  • Step 1: Power on CF202 Bluetooth headphones (Please ref. 1.2 about how to power on). They will automatically enter the Bluetooth pairing mode, and you’ll hear “Pairing”.
  • Step 2: In the Bluetooth list of your smartphone, please choose “Audiovance OpenComfy 202” to connect, and you’ll hear “connected”.

What should I do if any of the following problems occur?

  1. Cannot pair or reconnect with my device.
  2. No music plays after connecting with my device.
  3. Power off the headphones.
  4. Press the Button for over 5 seconds, until LED flashes red & blue over 1s.
  * The above actions are for resetting and re-pairing headphones.

What should I do if CF202 disconnects, the sound is choppy, or has an audio drop issue?

Some environments (such as airports and subway stations with crowded public, spaces near traffic lights, etc.) can interfere with your Bluetooth connection. To optimize your Bluetooth connection:

  1. Ensure that your phone is on your hand.
  2. Download videos and songs instead of streaming.
  3. If you have an Android phone, temporarily disable unnecessary app traffic settings on your phone.

Or you can try:

  • Power off and then power on your headphones.
  • Resetting the headphones.
  • Try a different device if possible.
  • Remark: Please note that this doesn’t necessarily mean there is an issue with the headphones but may have something to do with the connected device and environment.
  • Bluetooth signals can be influenced by obstructions, such as walls, pillars, home appliances, Wi-Fi, and so on. To ensure a stable connection, we recommend avoiding such obstructions.

How can I connect to a second device?

  • If you want to pair CF202 with a second device, please use one of the following methods:
  • Turn off Bluetooth on your current device so the headphones can enter pairing mode. Or
  • Reset/re-pair your headphones. Please, ref. 2.6.
  • After Repairing, you can see Audiovance CF202 in the Bluetooth list of your second device for connecting. 2.5 How do I set up CF202 when I want to use it to make calls via a Windows computer?
  • Set up both the microphone and speaker as “Hands-Free”. Note:
  • If the microphone is set as “Hands-Free” and the speaker is set as “Stereo,” you will hear the person on the other end, but they cannot hear you.
  • If the microphone is set as “Consistent with the System” and the speaker is set as “Stereo,” the computer’s microphone will pick up your voice instead of CF202.
  • To make a call, please choose “Hands-Free” mode. To listen to music, please choose “Stereo” mode.

  1. Power off the headphones.
  2. Press the Button for over 5 seconds, until LED flashes red & blue over 1s.

Bluetooth-related issue (cannot be paired/disconnected) when connected to a computer

  1. Fully charge and reset your headphones as stated below:

Low volume when connected to a Windows computer

Setting the input and output on a Windows computer with CF202

  1. If you only want to listen to the audio on the computer, select “CF202 Stereo” for the computer audio. If you need to adjust the volume, adjust both the software and the computer volume.
  2. If you need to use a conference app on your computer such as Zoom/Microsoft Teams, please set the input and output of the software as stated below:
    • The microphone on the conference software: CF202 Hands-Free
    • Speaker on the conference app: CF202 Hands-Free
    • If you need to adjust the volume, please do so on the app. If you cannot adjust the volume on the app, please select the CF202 Hands-Free as output on your computer and adjust the volume.
  3. If you need to use an audio and video app on the computer and you cannot set the input and output on the app, please open the computer audio settings and choose the correct settings:
    • Input: CF202 Hands-Free
    • Output: CF202 Hands-Free

The person wearing the headphones hears poor voice quality

  1. Make sure you have raised both the volume of the headphones and the device to be loud enough.
  2. Make sure you’re wearing the headphones in the correct position to let speakers face ear canals.
  3. Try switching to the phone mic and make a call to see whether the problem comes from the headphones or the caller on the other side.

The person on the other end of the call hears a low and unclear voice

  1. Please make sure the audio output device chosen is “Audiovance CF202” on the connected device and turn up the volume on your device.
  2. If you make a call via an app, please try using your phone to make a call instead to see whether the problem comes from headphones devices, or apps.
  3. Try testing your headphones with a different Bluetooth device in a different environment to see if it makes any difference.

How can I charge the headphones?

  1. Inside the headphones, please find the magnetic charging pins area.
  2. Put the magnetic charging pad of the charging cable on that charging pins area and they will cling to each other automatically, connect USBA with a 5V output source such as a smartphone charger or USBA output port of a laptop PC. When you see the LED on the headphones light red, it is in charge. When you see the LED become blue, it is fully charged.
