Below are some common problem:

1. What should I do if my monitor is not detected by the system via wavlink adapter?

2. Please make sure the type-c port of the laptop/pc support video output(dp alt mode).Not all type-c port support such function.Please refer to the picture below to confirm that.If you are not sure,please contact our support team,we will be happy to help you confirm that..You could find these driver at the website of the pc manufacturer.
   if you are not sure where to find them,pls tell us the detail model number of your pc,we will send the driver link to you directly.
   How to confirm if my type-c port supports video output and charging?
   Step 1
   Please check the model of your laptop, it should be on the back of the label.
   Step 2
   Search “brand + the model number of the device + manual” in Google
   Step 3
   Check the manual and navigate to the view and check the type-c specification Step 4
   If the specification state the type-c port supports display which means it could support video output; if it states it supports power delivery which means it supports charging

Insert the bundled power adapter into this port to charge the battery pack and supply power to your Notebook PC.
   If the specification state bandwidth the type-c port supports only, which means the type-c port might not support video output and charging. You could also contact the manufacturers to confirm that.
   2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ port
   The USB 3.1 (Universal Serial Bus 3.1) Gen 1 Type-C™ port provides a transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s and is backward compatible to USB 2.0.

3. Try to Upgrade the bios , graphics driver and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible.

4. Try to connect the monitor to the laptop/pc directly to check if the monitor work as expected.(To rule out the problem of the video cable and the monitor)

5. Try to choose the correct source input for the monitor.

6. Can I connect the adapter to a docking?
   We have not test the adapter with the docking.And we suggest you could connect the adapter to the laptop directly.You might meet some unexpected problem when you connect the device to a docking.

7. What should I do if the resolution is not as expected?
   The device support single 4k@60hz resolution or dual 4k@30hz resolution.
   If it is not as expected,please try the steps below.

8. Try to Upgrade the bios , graphics driver and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible.

9. Try to choose the correct resolution in the display setting.
   For windows,please right click the desktop and click the display setting then you could change the resolution.
   For mac,please go to system System Preferences >> display,then you could change the resolution.

10. Try to change the video cable.

11. Try to avoid to use the hdmi to vga/dvi adapter/cable.

12. Try to connect the monitor to the laptop/pc directly to check if the same thing happen.(To rule out the problem of the monitor and the video cable)

13. I connect the adapter to my macbook but the external monitors are same,why this happen?
    It is as expected.The mac OS supports sst only and does not support mst.The external monitors will show the same content.It is a limitation for mac OS.

14. Why my monitor could not be detected via the adapter?
    To make the device work as expected,the type-c port of the laptop support video output(dp alt mode),or the adapter could not work.Not all type-c port support video output,if you are not sure,please be free to contact our support team:[email protected],we will be happy to help.

15. The device gets hot in usage,it is normal？
    It is as expected,the device will get hot in usage and normally it will not affect the usage.If you meet any problem,please be free to contact us.

16. The monitor is blinking,what can I do?

17. Upgrade the bios , graphics driver and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible.You could find these driver at the website of the pc manufacturer.

18. Try to change the video cable.

19. Try to connect the monitor to the laptop directly and check if this same thing happen.(To confirm if such problem is related with the video cable and the monitor)

20. Try to change the refresh rate,you could choose 60hz or 30hz.(The docking might not work as expected at higher refresh rate)

21. Try to avoid to use the hdmi to vga/dvi adapter.

22. What should I do if specific hdmi port of the adapter could not work as expected?

23. Try to reset the device by unplugging it for 1 min and connect it back.

24. Try to change another video cable.

25. Please connect the monitor to the laptop/pc directly and check if the same thing happen.(To rule out the problem of the video cable and the monitor)

26. If possible,please test the adapter with another laptop/pc and check if the same thing happen.(To confirm if such problem is related with the host environment,if you do not have another laptop,please do not worry and skip this step)

27. Try to Upgrade the bios , graphics driver and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible.

1. Is this device built with display link chip?
No, it is not built with display link chip.
2. Why my monitor could not work as expected in usage?
Such problem might be caused by many reasons.
And the possible reasons are shown as below:

1. The Outdated bios, gpu driver and the thunderbolt 3/4 driver.
2. The HDMI to dvi/vga adapter/cable. (Such adapter might cause some unexpected problem)
3. The unsupported refresh rates.
4. The defective HDMI cables.

Please kindly try the steps below for troubleshooting.

1. Upgrade the bios, graphics driver and thunderbolt 3 driver or firmware if possible. You could find these drivers at the website of the pc manufacturer.
2. Try to connect the monitor to the laptop directly and check if this same thing happens. (To rule out the problem of the video cable and the monitor)
3. Try to change the refresh rate, you could choose 60hz or 30hz. (The docking might not work as expected at higher refresh rate)
4. Try to avoid to use the HDMI to vga/dvi adapter.
5. If possible, please try to test the device with another laptop and check if the same thing happen. (To confirm if it is related with the host environment)

3. There is no type-c port on my laptop. Can I use the usb-a to usb-c adapter to connect the weblink device and my laptop?
No, such adapter could not help. The adapter could not work if you use such adapter.
4. Why my monitor is not detected when I connect them to wavlink device?
To make our device work as expected.
The requirement below should be met:

1. There should be a type-c port.
2. The type-c port of the laptop should support video output. (dp alt mode) Or our device could not work.
