FAQ and Troubleshooting
- Which devices does it support?
- It works with iOS devices via Bluetooth LE (not WiFi), and Android or Windows devices at classic Bluetooth mode (require Bluetooth pairing). Remember not to pair with VEEPEAK through Bluetooth Setting for iPhone and iPad.
- When I try to connect “VEEPEAK” with my iPhone, it tells me it is not supported.
- On iOS devices, you will see this error when trying to connect to Bluetooth LE devices from the Bluetooth menu. You do not need to connect here. Please restart your iOS device SO “VEEPEAK” shows up again on Bluetooth. Then start the app to connect.
- Could not pair with Android.
- Turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on (sometimes a few times); restart your phone; disconnect any other Bluetooth devices from your phone; clear Bluetooth cache/storage: Settings – Apps (show system) – Bluetooth – Storage & Cache, clear and restart the phone.
- Pairs with Android phone but does not show “Connected”
- If VEEPEAK only shows as saved, paired or previously connected after pairing, don’t worry, normally it’s still connected. You just start the app to connect.
- “VEEPEAK” is not showing up on my phone’s Bluetooth device list.
- If no blue LED light when it’s plugged in, check the cigar fuse of your vehicle (a blown fuse is usually the problem for no power to OBD Il connector). You can also try with another vehicle to verify.
- App does not connect to the Veepeak device.
- Make sure the App is compatible and the correct connection settings is made.
- Remove and re-install the app; then try with another app.
- Cannot connect to a vehicle (or ECU).
- First check the vehicle compatibility with the App. Verify if your vehicle is OBD II compliant and the ignition is turned on.
- Also start the vehicle to try. Then try it on another vehicle if possible.
- Can I leave the device plugged in all the time?
- OBD Il connector is always powered for most vehicles. As it uses low energy, you may leave it plugged in for several days depending on the battery condition. However, it’s always recommended to remove it when it’s not in use.
