OPERATION
Using the appliance
- Insert the accessory into the device (accessories can only be inserted into the device and rotate if they are correctly fixed; the protective disc of the accessory prevents the shaft from coming into contact with the ground).
- Then, fit the cover (8) and snap it into place.
- Press the unlocking trigger (3) and lower the hinged arm (1). Make sure it is fitted to the lower part of the structure. You can check by its fixed position and by hearing a “clack” when it locks into place.
- Connect the appliance to the socket after making sure that no power is selected.
- The power selector (2) can be adjusted to the desired speed. The following are the recommended speed settings for different uses.
- Kneading hook (7): for heavy doughs with yeast, using speed 1 or 2.
- Kneading whisk (6): for a wide variety of ingredients such as shortcrust pastry, mashed potatoes, pie filling, icing, etc. Use speeds 4, 5 and 6 according to your needs.
- Beating Whisk (5): for whipping cream, eggs (whole, yolks or whites) or pudding, on high speed (4, 5 and 6).
- For short, powerful and continuous movements, turn the knob repeatedly to the P position.
- When you have finished using the stand mixer, turn the control knob to 0.
- Press the unlocking trigger (3) and lift the hinged arm (1). Then remove the lock fitting and the cover.
- Unplug the power cable.
- After each use, clean all parts and components that have come into contact with food.
How to use accessories
Recommendations for speed adjustment are given below. Start at speed level 1
and increase the speed according to the recipe.
RECIPE | ACCESSORY | SPEED |
---|---|---|
Pies (ready-made and homemade) | Kneading whisk | 3 |
Short pastry | Kneading whisk | 3 |
Mashed potatoes | Kneading whisk | 4 |
Egg whites | Beating whisk | 6 or P |
Whipped cream | Beating whisk | 5 or 6 |
Bread, heavy dough | Kneading hook | 1 or 2 |
- Place all the liquid ingredients in the bowl, then, add the solid ingredients.
- Always stay close to the appliance during use. Always add the ingredients as close as possible to the sides of the bowl and not directly onto the accessory.
- For best results, the mixture should be processed for the time indicated on the package.
- Mixtures containing large quantities of liquid should be prepared at low speed to avoid splashing. Increase the speed when the mixture has a consistency. When mixing thin doughs, choose medium speed.
- Switch off the appliance frequently to clean the sides using the kneading rod.
- Shortcrust pastry is one of the thickest types of dough, but it can facilitate the kneading:
- Add butter or margarine at room temperature.
- Add ingredients one at a time and mix well before adding a new ingredient.
- Add one cup of flour at a time.
- If you have difficulty mixing the dough, increase the speed.
- If something accidentally gets stuck in the accessory or the motor stops, turn off the machine and unplug it from the outlet. Solve the problem or reduce the amount in the bowl.
- Let the engine stand for 15 minutes before restarting the appliance.
- Use the beating whisk to whip egg whites, cream and the like. Do not use the beating whisk for thick mixtures such as dough or mashed potatoes.
- When whipping egg whites or cream, there should be at least 3 egg whites or 2 cups of cream in the bowl.
ICE-CREAM ACCESSORY (ONLY IN ICE-CREAM MODEL)
Fig. 2
- Connector
- Blade
- Ice cream bowl
Before use
Immerse the ice cream bowl and scoop in water to remove dust or residues from
production and transport. Do not clean any parts with scouring detergents or
hard sponges.
Freezing the ice cream bowl
- Wash, clean and dry the ice cream bowl before freezing.
- The ice cream bowl should be placed vertically on a flat surface. The temperature of the freezing chamber must be below -18 ºC and the time must be more than 16 hours (it is better to freeze it at night and use it during the day).
- When you take the ice cream bowl out of the freezer, make sure it is completely frozen. Gently shake the bowl. If you do not hear the liquid flowing, it is frozen.
Use of the product with the ice cream accessory
- Step 1: Freeze the ice cream bowl as above.
- Step 2: Prepare the ice cream in advance (up to 700 ml), depending on the desired recipe.
- Step 3: Align the 3 protruding slots on the bottom of the ice cream bowl and the 3 slots on the mixer. Place the bowl of ice cream in the mixer vertically as shown in figure 3.
- Step 4: Insert the connector into the output shaft of the mixer as shown in figure 4.
- Step 5: Add the ice cream ingredients to the bowl.
- Step 6: Press down on the mixer arm so that the connector is connected to the paddle. Fig. 5
- Step 7: Mix for 10-15 minutes on speed 1.
- Step 8: Serve as a dessert or freeze in an airtight container for later.
Watch out
- When pouring the mixed ingredients into the frozen bowl, start the appliance within 30 seconds to stir and prevent the rim of the bowl from freezing.
- The resulting ice cream is creamy, but if you want it harder, it is best to put the bowl of ice cream in the freezer for another 15-25 minutes.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- There is a risk of damage to the appliance if it is handled incorrectly. Do not use metallic scouring pads or abrasive cleaning products.
- Only clean the outer casing of the appliance using a damp cloth with a little soap. Use a soft cloth to dry it.
- Bowl, kneading whisk, kneading hook, beating whisk, ice-cream accessory (only Ice-Cream model):
These parts can be cleaned with hot soapy water or by hand. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
