Intended use

The keymaXX DP-200 is a digital E-Piano, designed to play sounds on the keyboard and make them audible through built-in speakers or headphones. Improper use of the product is considered improper and can lead to personal injury or property damage. No liability is assumed for damage resulting from improper use.

It must be ensured that the device is operated exclusively by trained and competent users who are in full possession of their mental, physical and sensory abilities. The use by other persons is only permitted under the supervision or guidance of a person responsible for their safety.

Important safety instructions!

Please read before connection!

CAUTION! (Electromagnetic Interference)
The normal function of the product may be disturbed by Strong Electromagnetic Interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the owner‘s manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in other location.

DANGER! (For babies and children)
Dispose of or store any packaging material properly! Packaging material must be kept out of the reach of babies and children due to the danger of suffocation.

Make sure that children never use the device unattended! In addition, make sure that children do not remove (small) parts from the device, as they could suffocate by swallowing parts!

DANGER! (Electric shock due to high voltages in the device)
The housing must not be removed! There are no parts to be maintained in the device. Inside the unit there are components which are under high electrical voltage.

Before each use, check the device for damage or the absence of components, protective devices or housing parts. If this is the case, do not use the device! Leave maintenance and repair work to a qualified service workshop or contact your dealer.

DANGER! (Electric shock due to short circuit)
Modifications to the power cord or plug are prohibited. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced immediately with an original spare part from the manufacturer. Failure to do so may result in fire or death due to electric shock!

WARNING! (Damage to hearing)
The unit may generate volumes that may cause temporary or permanent hearing loss. Over time, even seemingly uncritical levels can cause hearing damage. Reduce the volume immediately if ear noise or hearing loss occurs. If this is not possible, keep a greater distance or use adequate hearing protection.

Hint! (Fire hazard due to overheating)
The maximum permissible ambient temperature of this device is 40°C. Ensure that the unit is placed in a place with adequate ventilation, out of the reach of direct heat sources, naked flames and combustible materials and liquids.

The ventilation slots of the device must not be taped or covered.

Hint! (Operating conditions)
Due to its structural characteristics, the device is designed for indoor operation (IP20). Never expose the device to rain, moisture or liquids as this may cause damage.

Vibrations, dust or solar radiation can also lead to damage, avoid them! Do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.

Do not let paper, metallic, or other objects into the instrument. If this happens, remove the electric plug from the outlet. Then have the instrument inspected by qualified service personnel.

Disconnect all cables before moving the instrument.

Hint! (Power supply)
It is essential that you check that the device voltage matches your local mains voltage. It is highly recommended that you fuse your mains socket with a residual current circuit breaker (FI).

Please connect the designated AC adaptor to an AC outlet.

If you do not use your device for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the power supply in order to minimize danger. The same applies to storm conditions such as thunderstorms, floods, etc.

Hint! (Commissioning)
All connections of the device should be made before switching on. Use only highquality cables for connections.

Hint! (Installation)
Be sure to inspect the device for damage before using. Optimum use of the original packaging or suitable transport or storage packaging to protect the product when not in use. Optimally against influences such as dust or moisture, etc.

Hint! (Possible damage due to magnetic fields)
Loudspeakers generate a static magnetic field. Please keep an appropriate distance from other equipment that may be affected or damaged by an external magnetic field.

Hint! (Interferences with other electrical devices)
Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference.
Operate this unit at a suitable distance from radios and televisions.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

THE FCC REGULATION WARNING (for USA)

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.

Cleaning:

A regular cleaning of the device from impurities and dust increases the durability of the product.
Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning it! Never clean the appliance wet! Optical lenses should be cleaned with a dry microfiber cloth to optimize light output. Ventilation grilles and openings should always be cleaned of dust and dirt. Suitable compressed air sprays are recommended for this application.

Environmental Protection:

The company MUSIC STORE professional GmbH always strives to reduce the burden of packaging to a minimum. The use of environmentally friendly and recyclable materials is of fundamental importance to us. Please recycle the packaging components after use.

Disposal of packaging:
Ensure that paper packaging, plastic material, etc. are recycled separately. Observe the labels and the corresponding regulations.

Disposal of batteries:
Batteries do not belong in the garbage! Please dispose of batteries in accordance with official regulations at collection points or disposal stations.

Disposal of your old device:
Do not dispose of the device with household waste! This device is subject to the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) in its currently valid version.

The device is to be disposed of by an approved disposal company or your local waste disposal service. The regulations applicable in your country must be observed!

JACK SOCKET

Jack Socket

  1. Power Cord Connection
    • When using, connect the power cord as shown in the figure, insert one end into the electrical socket in the operation panel at the bottom of the piano, and the other end into the 220V household power socket. (Fig. 1)
    • If you do not use this product for a long time, please pull out the power cord plug and keep it properly.

  2. Audio input / output plug
    • Audio output socket can be connected to large speaker equipment. (Fig.2)
    • The audio input socket connects the external sound source to the electric piano for playback. (Fig. 2)

  3. MIDI input / output socket
    The MIDI interface of the digital piano can be used to interact with the music device with MIDI. Through the music software pre installed on the computer and tablet, we can learn or play the keyboard to perform, compose, store and other functions. (Fig.3)

  4. Pedal jack
    The foot pedal connector is located on the bottom left of the piano. Insert the pedal
    wire end plug into the circular socket at the bottom of the piano, and you can connect three kinds of pedal sound effect functions!
    The order is: weak tone, delayed sound, delayed sound. (Fig-4)

  5. Double headphone jack
    The headphone jack is located on the bottom left side of the piano. Connecting headphones will automatically cut off the output of the built-in speakers of the electronic organ so that you don’t bother others while playing. There are two headphone sockets in this product, which can be inserted into two headphones at the same time. (Fig.5)

  6. USB interface
    Using the USB transmission interface to connect with the computer Through  the computer installed Music software, to learn or play the keyboard to play, composition, storage and other functional operations. Edited music and built- in accompaniment to music software. lt can be played by software connected to the digital piano or played by accompaniment music (Fig.6)

OPERATION GUIDE

Operation Guide

Power On

Connect the power adapter to the power socket and turn an the power switch to operate normally. The default voice is grand piano.

Master Volume

Adjust the main volume knob an the control panel, turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume, and turn the knob anticlockwise to decrease the volume.

Tone Setting

  1. This machine contains 238 kinds of voice colors.
  2. The default voice is grand piano (000). Press the [voice] button, the display will change the voice through the [+ / -] button. (see Appendix 1 for timbre table)
  3. Double click the voice to return to the piano voice.

Demonstration Song
Demonstration music playing:
Press the [demo] button to start playing the demo. Select the track with the [+ / -] key, and press the [demo] key again to stop playing the demo (see Appendix 2 for the list of demo tracks)

Strength Curve

  1. Three force curves can be set: light, standard, heavy (t00-t02) and force switch.
    The default power is T01

  2. Press the [force] button repeatedly to enter the force curve setting, and select the corresponding curve: t00-t02, TOF.

Accompaniment Function rhythm selector

There are 200 rhythms, 000-200. (refer to Appendix 3 for rhythm table) after power on, the default is No. 000 rhythm. Press the [rhythm] key to enter the rhythm selection state, and use the [+/-] key to select the corresponding rhythm.

Operation Guide

Adjust style speed

  1. Use the [metronome + / -] key to adjust the accompaniment speed. The adjustable range is 20-280 beats / min.
  2. When the accompaniment stops, select the rhythm, and the speed is automatically set as the preset value of the rhythm; when the rhythm is played, switch the rhythm, and the speed does not return to the preset value.
  3. Press [+/-] at the same time to return to the default.

Opening Accompaniment

There are two modes of accompaniment on:
Press the [sync / start] key to enter the accompaniment preparation status. Start playing, the accompaniment will start automatically, press the [start / stop] button, the accompaniment will stop.

  1. Manual start
    Press the [start / stop] key, the style will start immediately; press the [start / stop] key again, the style will stop immediately.

Insert settings

In style mode, press the [insert] key to insert an interval in the rhythm. Lang press will continue to insert the style. After releasing the key, the interlude will play for a while and enter the rhythm.

Automatic Chord

This instrument contains two chord modes: single finger and multi finger. Press the [integrated chord] key to turn on the automatic chord function. At this time, playing the left half of the keyboard will automatically identify single finger and multi finger, and match the corresponding chord. Press the [integrated chord] button again to close the automatic chord function.

Metronome

Press the [metronome] key, metronome function starts, and the default speed is the speed of the first rhythm.
Use the [metronome +/-] key to adjust the metronome speed range: 20-280 beats / min.
Press the [metronome] key again to exit the metronome function, and the current speed will be saved.

Note: restarting the electric piano will restore the default speed.

Operation Guide

Beat settings

Long press the [metronome] key to enter the metronome type selection state. Use the [+/-] key to select the corresponding beat type: (1-4, 2-4, 3-4, 4-4, 3-8, 6-8). After selection, press the [metronome] key or there is no operation for more than 2 seconds to confirm the metronome type selection.

Transpose settings

At the same time, press the [+] and [-] keys to enter the transfer selection status. Press the [+/-] key to select the corresponding transfer plus or minus 12 levels.
Press [voice] or [rhythm] to exit the mode or wait for 2 seconds to exit the mode automatically

Dual voice settings

This function key is an on / off sequential function Select the first tone by pressing the [+/-] key, and then press the [dual tone] key to enter the second tone selection [+/-] key to select the second tone.

Dual keyboard settings

When the function key on / off sequence function is on, the scale of piano keys a1-b4 will be played as a scale of a2-b5, and the scale of C5-C9 will be played as a scale of C4- C8.
You can use the [+/-] key to select the main voice to replace the original voice of C5-C9 keys.

Dual keyboard settings
This function key is on / off sequential function. Press this key to get the drum beating tone on the corresponding piano key.

Operation Guide

Recording settings

Press the [record] key to enter the recording mode, and make metronome sound. lf you do not need metronome, you can use the [metronome] key to turn off. At this time, press any piano key to start recording, and then press the [record] key to stop recording.

Playback settings

After recording the track, press the [play] button to start playing the recorded track.

Effect Settings

This function key on / off sequential function
Press this key to turn on the DSP effect.

MP3 Settings

  • Press the [MP3 play] key to play or pause the MP3 song
  • Press the start [MP3 previous] button to play the previous MP3 song
  • Press the long [last MP3] button to reduce the volume of MP3
  • Press the start [next MP3] button to play the next MP3 song
  • Press the long [next MP3] button to increase the volume of MP3

Power Supply

This product can be powered by standard indoor wall socket. Please use only the power cord specified by this product. Please turn off the power supply when it is not used temporarily. When it is not used for a long time, please unplug the power cord and keep it properly.
